  1. I would agree with that; but I think NE is better on defense. So far the young corners for Philly are holding up, but I'd like to see how they play when they're not up by 14 pts in the 1st half. Last year the Eagles' run D was a big weakness, and so far teams haven't been able to exploit that this year because they've gotten such huge leads. We know NE can play from behind and with the lead. Plus Andy Reid gets pass-happy too much.
  2. Some of you Henry apologists are talking as if we've trailed by 20 points in every game. Our largest deficit has been 13 vs. the Jets, and McGahee was getting most of the carries at that point. The Raiders & Patriots games were basically one-score games throughout (just like yesterday's game), and our running game produced squat. I don't understand what the argument is.
  3. OK, but the Jags and Raiders are no offensive juggernauts either, and Miami is at least as good as those teams defensively. It is also worth noting that Miami actually had the advantage in Time of Possession yesterday prior to the last drive.
  4. Miami does NOT have the worst DEFENSE in the NFL. WM wasn't playing against the Miami offense. Why is this such a difficult concept for people to grasp?
  5. This game is really quite simple. I we don't turn the ball over and take fewer than 6 sacks, we win the game. I have my doubts about that happening though. Zero turnovers the last two weeks with this offense really scares me. But if Bledsoe plays safe&smart like he did yesterday, we have a good chance. You know Schobel will get owned by Ogden, but we'll see what the rest of the defense is all about. If they want to be considered a great defense they have to dominate a game and win it singlehandily like they did the last time they went to B'more in '99.
  6. There seems to be no double-header in Philly, WTF? Fox is doing baseball at 4:00 and there's no CBS game on at 1:00. Damn, I need the dish.
  7. Marquis Walker, a Cuse native, went to Michigan too. The High School talent pool in Syracuse isn't loaded to begin with, so when you can't "keep your own" you have problems.
  8. Definitely McNair Mason is questionable? Damn, I guess that solves my WR problem.
  9. I'd go with Stephen Davis. He may not be 100%, but at least you know he'll get a workload with Deshaun Foster out. The Philly run D is also not as good as the stats indicate - they were horrible last year. With McGahee there are just too many unknown variables. First of all you're guaranteed that the Bills aren't going to score more than 2 TD's max, probably 1. That one score could be Henry or the defense, or most likely a WR. And Miami's run D probably is better than the stats indicate, so he's not going to get 100 yds.
  10. From today's column.... "(By the way, I like this stretch for the Bills right now: Home for the Dolphins; at Baltimore; then home for the Cards and Jets. Couldn't you see them putting a little streak together, then losing the next eight games by a total of 9 points?)"
  11. Hey, I'm staying away from that game as well. I'd probably take GB if you held a gun to my head because Roy Williams is hurt, which really hurts the Lions offense. To me, it smells like a breakout 150+ yard game for Ahmen Green; but the Packers defense has been too terrible for me to bet on them on the road.
  12. I like Oakland as well - I think they're just as good as Denver, so I like them as home dogs. The only problem is that both Oakland & Denver are in the same boat as the Saints - you just never know which team is going to show up.
  13. Did you see the Packers-Colts game? NE +2 and SF +16 looks like a steal.
  14. NE -4 vs. Seattle - Don't see the Hawks recovering from last week, and they still have to prove they can beat a good team on the road. San Diego +5 @ Atlanta - Good week to have LTD on your fantasy team Dallas -3 vs. Pittsburgh - Parcells brings rookie QB down to earth
  15. Yeh, I didn't even bother w/ amateur when i first played it. Played a couple of decent games on pro though. My problem with sports games that aren't football is that the seasons are so long, it's not a challenge anymore by the time I get to the playoffs. I don't feel right about changing difficulty settings midseason for some reason. Maybe i'll play on all-star and take my lumps for the first 20 games or so.
  16. If it's some made-up name that you drafted, then yes, that would be pretty gay.
  17. Stop this childish debate. Can we please agree to stop validating our own $200 purchases? Besides, everyone knows Xbox is the best. B)
  18. Man, those games are too time consuming. I got the $50 package on Xbox with III and Vice City about a year ago, and I've barely played them. After winning back to back SB's in 2k5, i think it's time to start a hockey season. If anybody has played ESPN hockey, what difficulty do you play on?
  19. How can you be nervous when we're 0-4? If we win great. If not, we're a week closer to Losman.
  20. Being a 95 pound guy in a maximum security federal prison.
  21. He's no Russel Copeland
  22. OK, I don't want to make a big deal of this, but my take is: Reed stinks so bad that he has no chance to become good. If he improves enough he might eventually become mediocre, but Shaw has already proven to be at least mediocre as a #3 WR. Am I wrong?
  23. I don't get it either. Isn't he better than Josh Reed? What am I missing?
  24. Speaking of trap games, how about Jacksonville getting points at home vs. KC?
  25. I didn't realize the average age on this board was 4. C'mon - everyone knows the best cereal is.... cinnamon toast crunch
