  1. Well I'm a diehard Cubs fan...TiVoed all the games this year and watched them. And I came to the conclusion that Matt Clement is alot like Drew Bledsoe...he's a tease. He had a great first half, then after the All-Star break he couldn't keep pitches out of the hitter's ribs or due to his non-sinking sinker in the ballpark. His record should have been alot better in the first half, but the Cubs couldn't score, but in August and September (when good starts really matter) his ERA was 5.60 and 7.36 respectively...I'd take a dominant Randy Johnson, who's monthly ERA never climbed over 3.92, for two years over a mediocre Matt Clement anyday...especially if winning a title was my goal, but alas I am a Cubs fan so this whole not signing Matt Clement thing will probably blow up in our collective faces when Clement becomes a 20 game and Cy Young winner.
  2. I am a huge Arizona State football fan and in Christmas of 96 I got a bowl of roses from my parents. I thought it was a really crue joke because they knew that I really wanted to go watch Jake the Snake play Ohio State, but when I looked inside the box the bowl came in there were two tickets to the Rose Bowl...my dad and I flew to CA and had the time of our lives even though a squib kick and the prevent defense let that 'roid head David Boston catch a game winning TD which cost ASU the national title.
  3. Also his ypc is low because he has lost yardage on more runs than any player in the AFC, wait until experience kicks in...he'll dominate.
  4. Yeah I agree you don't see other runners stiff arm like McGahee does
  5. I don't care how it happens I just wanna watch a playoff game again!
  6. Big Ben : 3/11 24 yards, INT...man I wish we could put a rookie in.
  7. I would say he's the Prince because Josh Reed is far and away the king. And what the hell do you want MM to do? Bench Drew while on this amazing run? Put down the crack pipe/pull your head out of your @$$ and realize rookie QBs even more polished than JP (Eli Manning cough cough) do not win football games. Roethliswhatever is a product of great defense and a steady power running game.
  8. Amen brother amen....anybody that has a pessimistic outlook on these next few weeks should really just hang themselves in their closet because I can't even remember when the stretch run of our season meant ANYTHING!!! And you are definitely not a true fan if you cannot have fun watching this team destroy other PROFESSIONALS. All I really want for Christmas is for people like ICE and the rest of "Team Pessimism" to just shut up.
  9. Cincy is done, if they would have won today then it would be a different story next week, but now they have nothing to play for. Buffalo just needs to come out and put up some points early to really crush their spirits.
  10. no but my family is and I have become the family's biggest Bills fan...I was actually supposed to be playing at Canisius this year but they fired Coach Notaro so went elsewhere...can't really blame them though I think the team went like 9-32 last year.
  11. Check this stevestojan out...I live in Sacramento for 7 years and the Bills never once come to OAK or SF. Then I move to San Antonio to play baseball for a d2 school out here, then I hurt my arm early in the fall and I'm stuck here while being on the shelf for the season, and all this while the Bills go to both places in NoCal in the same year...at least I have a tv...God Bless DirecTV.
  12. well i stand corrected on the k-gun and all the laughs i used to have over mckellar are all now terribly tainted...and what happened to brandon spoon after his injury?
  13. The k-gun was named for the no huddle style led by some guy named Kelly...one of the most prolific offenses in football history was not named after a guy who's career high for receptions was 44. http://www.billsbackers.com/BROWNS.htm that link points to Kelly in the game against Cleveland where Harmon "dropped" the ball as the beginning of the K-gun at no point is McKellar mentioned. BTW I totally forgot that Norwood screwed us in that game too by missing a PAT.
  14. Whatever happened to Yonel Jordain (back up to Thurmal after Kenneth Davis left in the mid 90s)??? I kinda liked him.
  15. Leon Seals aka Dr Sack...or how about Keith McKellar he was once quoted as saying the K-Gun offense was named for him...i hope he was joking.
  16. Every week an upset of the Patsies or at least a close game is predicted and every week they roll...they won't be beaten until maybe the playoffs where anything and everything seems to happen. I hope the Gals lose and Tom Brady gets hurt...nothing career threatening just season ending
  17. Interdivision tiebreakers go as follows: 1. Divisional Record 2. Record vs. Common Opponents 3. Conference Record 4. Strength of victory 5. Strength of schedule 6. Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed. 7. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed. 8. Best net points in common games. 9. Best net points in all games. 10. Best net touchdowns in all games So it depends on how the Jests get to their 10-6 record if they lose to Pitt but beat NE and finish 10-6 they have the tiebreaker over the Bills because their divisional record will be 4-2 while ours is 3-3. If they lose to both Pitt and NE and finish 10-6 then we own the tiebreaker because the Bills record vs. common opponents will be 10-4 while the Jests will be at 8-6 (I included each teams 3-3 divisional record). The latter scenario doesn't seem too far off if our boys win out. However, if we end up tied with Baltimore obviously they win it because they beat the Bills. If we end up tied with Denver it comes down to our conference record which will be 6-6 (.500) if we win out and Denver, in order to finish at 10-6, will have to win the next 3 of 4 games all against the AFC, which will put them at 6-5 (.540) within the conference and that winning percentage will be higher than Buffalo's, so Denver will own the tiebreaker because they played more games against the Junior Varsity league, but it will be tough for them because after the Dolfelons in Denver they go to KC (always tough between those 2 teams) to Tennessee and then at home against Indy...hopefully they lose two quick ones and none of this comes into play...go err Dolphins?!?!
  18. The reason our special teams are so vastly improved is because April and MM made a commitment to improving them by using their best athletes...starters and if they stop playing starters the special teams will once again be mired in mediocrity.
  19. By far the greatest lamp of all time!
  20. well it completely distracted me from finals studying for a solid half hour but alas my time went from 10+ to 8.888!
  21. Does anybody know of a website that posts the scores of all the past Bills/Dolfelons games?
