  1. I honestly dont understand the love affair with Henderson

    - He seems to play well when he is motivated

    - That play is not consistant which screams lazy

    - Too much looks like Tarzan plays like Jane with him

Say what you want about the horrible first year for Kujo......the guy lines up and gives it everything he has on most downs to me when I watch his film

Yet for reason the bills coaches love Henderson and keep marching him out there

I say make him earn it

  2.

I think this is a reasonable ranking.. for pass protection anyway. Glenn and Incogntio have been playing at a relatively high level... Incognito especially. Wood has had a few subpar games.. however.. on the whole he has been much improved over last year. He played especially well in the Miami game. Miller/Urbik have generally been below average. Henderson started strong but decline each game leading up to his god awful performance in Tennessee where he got hurt. Kouandjio has been passable as his replacement.

In general .. the O Line has done it's job in every game this year and it's hard to blame poor QB performance on the line so far this year.. as opposed to last year when poor O Line play legitimately affected the majority of the games.

My biggest problem with the whole thing is it doesnt feel (in the game planning) like Roman has confidence in this offensive line to just line up and blast a 3rd and 3 for a first down......

In my opinion.....this is a running down with an occassional pass to keep a defense off balance....not automatically lining up in a formation that screams "PASS" to the defense

    - We have the best FB in the league (for that matter...why are we not just lineing up in Power I and giving it to the upback?)

    - If our OL is truly grading out that well then surely we can get a short yardage first down

To me along with the QB play this is the single biggest reason we have lost games.....you HAVE to keep an opposing teams offense off the field especially if they are good.......

    POUND THE FRICKEN ROCK

  3. Interesting. CK looks like he is in a different snap count and clearly has lapses where he doesn't know his assignment. He looks blindsided on half the plays. That was the case in London. Just looked clueless most of the time when he wasn't getting flagged for false starts.

Shall we go over it? I have the NFL game package to go back and scrutinize it further.

  4. I don't think you can realistically expect to have all 5 starters all the time though. The good teams are the ones who can coach guys up so there isn't so big a dropoff. The odds of any 5 given starters being available all season long are not strong. What's more important, building cohesion or gaining the ability to be functional without it? Every team is playing musical chairs with their starting lineup all season long. Further, you aren't even given the practice time before the season to establish that synergy- where you used to have two-a-days you now have unpadded practices.

I also see a lot of folks saying 'now we FINALLY have our QB, two RBs, OL and top WR all healthy together.' As if now we'll see the "real" Bills offense. Well that's great (truly) but how long do you expect this perfection to last, one game? Two if you're lucky? The coaches must be able to gameplan with the pieces they have on a given day and find a way to get production.

The problem is a NFL team can take a certain amount of hits to the starting line up and still function

When a team turns into a mash unit.....you get a game like the jags

  5. I would think winning would be more important than getting a players reps...that's what preseason is for.

Maybe they view Henderson and Kujo as equal in talent.....

I personally would rather see Kujo at RT

I'm not sure what you're seeing CK is a turnstile and false start machine.

Henderson has a few lapses each game but if you look at each play like an at Bat in baseball.

Henderson is batting .700 and CK is maybe 400. CK just consistently plays poor.

    Im sorry....no...just no

Kujo had some hickups when he was pressed into relief duty....but the last couple of weeks has been pretty solid

    Henderson

    - Gets beat OFTEN......which is troubling for a guy of his athletisism

    - Gets hurt EVERY GAME

    - Does not committ to punishing people in the run game.....he "gets in the way"

  6. Health had nothing to do with our defense getting blasted at home against the bengals.

I'd say we are 3-4 because of bad coaching not due to injury.

    Scott,

Everyone knows you are a glass is half empty kinda guy.....but try to dig a little deeper?

This just in.....the Bengals have a GOOD OFFENSE

When you starting with great field position for half the game.......your gonna eventually give up points.

When your offense is so banged up they cant convert 3rd downs and stay on the field....your gonna give up points

  7. Kudos for this.

Miller has the look of a solid-but-unspectacular guard to me. I think he’ll be a starter in the NFL, and maybe even as a rookie. I don’t ever see him making an all-pro team, but rather being a 4th-round type guy that comes in and contributes immediately.

I actually think John Miller has a chance to be something depending on how hard he works

but great call on being the immediate starter

  8. I was listening to Jason Taylor on Sirius NFL Radio today and a Bills fan called in and asked about Rex and his D.

Taylor said that of all the coaches he ever had, it took him the longest period of time, most work, and most study to figure out what he was supposed to do in Rex's D. It was an enormous adjustment and it is extremely complicated. Eventually he got it but it took some time.

This meshes with things other guys have said about Rex's defense: it's complicated, relies on a ton of new terms and communication, as well as a bunch of unique concepts. At first it's very difficult to grasp. But eventually once the players get it things start clicking.

I think this is what we are seeing with this D. Rex did not forget how to coach defense. The DL did not forget how to pass rush. It's just going to take some time for this thing to start humming.

BTW, that vaunted Schwartz defense got shredded by Brady and couldn't stop the Raiders when it mattered too. Let's not pretend that last year's defense was some sort of iron curtain.

I still believe in Rex and I EXPECT to see the defense improve tremendously over the 2nd half of the season.

This is pretty much how I feel about it as well

My only fear is that it took too long for this year and we end up coming like 1 game short

  9.

    they just suk

so two dummies who are not aware of college football, I see, well you fit right in

so you prefer going 8-8 and never getting a real QB? TT is not the answer

Stats say different.....but we actually dont know yet.

But.....just like you are every year......next years hot draft QB is the right QB...till they arent

  10. First advice. Long story, but I am thinking of buying one of those Keurig type coffee machines. i like my coffee hot and about a 16oz cup. Any recommendations?

Next prayers. Daughter gets her license at 12:01 AM tomorrow morning. Talk about worry! It's my first one to get license, and I am a mess!

Been there.....done that.....make sure your insurance covers what it needs to and make sure you buy her the equipment for hands free for her phone.
