  1. Pretty sure Allen is not attending this awards show, and he’s in Vegas.  So pretty clear he’s not winning anything or they would’ve tipped him off like they did McCaffrey.

MVP aside, how is Josh not even nominated for offensive POY?

You ain’t kidding. The guy with the most TDs is not even nominated.

I think this is what bothers me the most about any Mahomes discourse.  The revisionist history that the Bills goofed by not taking him and trading the pick.  Those of us around this board would all agree that maybe a handful of people liked Mahomes as the Bills pick in that spot.  Majority of us didn't think at all that he was on the Bills radar.

Also, does it really matter since they drafted Allen anyways?  We're not 2 time Super Bowl champions because Mahomes has been light years better than Allen, they have the rings because Reid is light years ahead of McDermott.

Yes,  Reid > McDermott,  their FG kicker hits a clutch long FG to send one playoff game to OT,  our guy misses a critical FG in the breeze.  In a game no one can stop anyone, KC wins the OT coin toss.  So be it. The teams are actually pretty even....Mahomes is obviously great and the Chiefs are not tight in the clutch moments.... and I contend they also have some lady luck on their side.

  4. I don't ever recall the Bills or local sports talk guys mentioning Patrick Mahomes as a potential Buffalo Bills pick,..  For that reason I never pay attention to the people that says the Bills failed by trading the pick.  He was never getting drafted here.  I don't think the Bills were selecting a high QB at all in that draft.  The real losers were Chicago taking Trubisky #2 overall.   KC was smart,,,  they saw something no one else did and traded up ahead of the Saints to grab him.

I know it’s a lock Lamar will win it because the talking heads have it in their heads, but seems like that would be more of a collective team recognition than a true MVP season or achievement.

If it’s not Josh, it should be CMC.

The host on one of the FS1 shows this morning predicted Josh would win MVP... that they have to take into account total offense, total TDs, etc..

  6. Both Josh and His girl are very private people when it comes to their relationship. I saw a blurb last summer when Josh basically said how (disgusting?) it is to have people and paparazzi following celebrity couples around. and how he just wants privacy if possible.  So i don’t expect them to ever be as out there as Kelce and Swift.  but who knows. if they get engaged and ultimately married they will probably be more public about it.

Unfortunately Josh's deep throws still lack trajectory.  They're still too flat.  That canon of an arm has no height allowing open wrs to run under.

I felt like he improved that a couple years ago, and then this past season he regressed back to those flatter deep passes.  those throws have to be absolutely perfect to connect. Our WRs need a chance to run under it.

All that being said, he threw 2 great downfield balls late to Sherfield and Diggs. We could have beaten KC and our WRs blew it in the biggest moment. ugh.

Maybe he was the only coach willing to move there.

Could be.. He was quite the star football player and track athlete at Salisbury State U.. which is only a couple hours away on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

To me, Quinn is not a bad choice.  The ownership group wanted someone with previous head coach experience.  From everything you read and hear, Quinn is a solid guy who is smart and definitely a leader of men.

The stuff coming out now about Ben Johnson is interesting.  Good X's and O's guy but apparently a poor interviewer and lackluster personality.  Does not command a room at all.

What were the Super Bowls like? More the build up before the game and atmosphere etc.

I went to the first and the last one.   Tampa was a big party for the weekend at all the Bills hotels.  Pretty good tailgate scene at the stadium despite military copters and security vehicles all around.   It was a surreal scene.  All the Bills fans knew we were winning that game.  We were the best team in the NFL.  Gutted when we walked out of there a loser, but the Tampa experience was amazing.

Atlanta was different.  I recall it being cold and gray out.  Not a big tailgate scene in the middle of a crowded city.  We got there and just walked in the stadium.  Obviously the event felt larger than life in that indoor atmosphere. Nobody nationally believed in the Bills anymore and didn't even want them in the SB.  All we wanted was to get a W and get out of Atlanta.  I wasn't even that excited going to halftime with a lead.  Was very nervous waiting for the other shoe to drop.  Then it did and we walked out bummed like any other playoff loss. Atlanta sucked.

  10. While I understand that Harbaugh is a very solid head coach, he doesn't have access to different pool of players than anyone else, he doesn't have a different salary cap to work with.  He's not recruiting 5 star guys and everyone else is recruiting 3 & 4 star players.

If he can get Herbert to play better and be more of a clutch performer, that will turn into some extra W's on the field. That will be the big difference maker.

I've seen the Bills play 3 games and my record now stands at a disgusting 0-3.

    What do other folk have?

Yikes. That's not a great record.

Seeing as I've been going to Bills games since my late grandfather had season tix at the Rockpile, there are too many games to count.  I know I am 0-2 at Bills Super Bowls though 😭

For the past 7 years or so been going to 1-2 games per year.  I was on a super winning streak until last season...attended the Minnesota game and then Cincinnati playoffs.  My luck came to an end.  Brutal.

  12. This past loss to the Chiefs I was having a late night snack a couple hours after the game unbothered...the result had already washed off me.   There was no Mahomes magical ending, we had the ball at the end of the game and were in control of the result.  This game was on Buffalo and they blew it.

13 seconds was gutting and still hasn't washed off me.  That was our year.  We were supposed to beat the Chiefs in that game.  But with Coaches and lack of situational awareness by players,  it was blown in crunch time.  And to an extent KC was lucky because they won the coin toss in a game that the last team with the ball was gonna win.

Because she teamed up with the two most annoying people on the football planet.  Mahomes's brother and his wife.

Very true.  But she's kinda' forced to be involved with them during games.  I bet after Kelce retires (assuming they stay together),...she won't be spending any time with those clowns.
