He was doing an interview in Pittsburgh where he said I wouldn't mind finishing my career in Pittsburgh

That's it nothing more or less

    It's not a big deal

Agreed, it really is not a big deal.  Hamlin's time in the NFL is getting short and if he puts that out there, maybe the Steelers would give him a courtesy look.

Lot's of players probably have a team they'd like to finish up with.  I would not be surprised if our very own Josh Allen sometimes thinks about finishing his career with his boyhood team, the 49ers or where he lives now (Rams).  He's intelligent enough to never say that publicly since he's the franchise QB with unfinished business here.

  2. I have no knowledge of any of this.  But it does sound like the classic case of a longtime girlfriend wanting to move things forward and cling on to the NFL star as long as she could.  Josh probably knew in his head that he didn't want to spend the rest of his life with this one chick.  Maybe things got stale. It was fun while he was younger but he probably wanted to experience something new and more his style.  She had gotten quite Instagram famous through dating him i bet.

    Anyhooo, just my 2 cents.

  3. Tyreek is a jerk.   Probably another jarring hit to the head and he goes full on AB.  He's not far off from that.  Even at that red carpet NFL awards thing with his wife at his side, his behavior was awkward and weird.

Not every broken leg is the same. They don't always result in public lawsuits. I'm sure her leg was broken. I'm sure Hill is a scumbag. But let's not ignore that we live in a society where a SOCIAL MEDIA PERSONALITY is going after a bit of fame as well. All can be true.

Also, as a side note I'm curious why this is even a point of emphasis? So if he played for the Vikings or Bears everything's cool?

Do we as fans of the Bills not have Von Miller on our roster? Who are we to judge another team?

Since the entirety of the NFL ran off Araiza including many Bills fans on allegations...i have no problem with calling Tyreek a scumbag, because he is.  And he will bury his career soon if not from this, from something else.

I'm gonna let you all in on a little secret.....he's not very good.

    That is all.......carry on.

Before his injury in Cincinnati, I often said the man does a good job tackling 10 yards downfield, but cannot cover well at all.

So to his comment, he nearly lost his life on the field, he can say anything he wants at this point.  I'm not offended.  I believe he was kept on the Bills this past season because it would've been a terrible look to release him after being cleared to resume playing.  But I don't see him making the roster this year.

  5. There was a video a few years ago of 14 year olds heckling Cam at his own football camp.  Now dudes are throwing haymakers at him? SMH.   Just something about the guy's persona that he does not get any respect as a former NFL player and excellent College player.  He's giving his time, you'd think people would be cool with that.

Why give any teams bulletin board material? He did this with KC too and said Mahomes had to come to our house so good luck. Maybe he should keep his mouth shut?

Dion has created a brand, his brand.  He's all tatted up, no shirt, the Shnowan schtick.  So these corny interviews and podcasts where he rambles about everything is on brand.  As I said at the top of this thread I hope he's not writing checks he can't cash.  Because yeah, the Mahomes good luck comment, while benign in comparison to this was clearly an added motivation for Patrick.

    Forced? By whom?

The Print media, TV media, Social media, Fans from every team in the NFL...many Bills fans, etc..

How can anyone forget the massive tidal wave of pressure to cut ties with Araiza.  He was tried in public opinion court and found guilty instantly.

  8. This thread is funny.  The punt god will not be the reason the Chiefs win another Super Bowl or be the reason why Buffalo fails to win a Super Bowl.

When the Bills were pretty much forced to move on from him...there is no going back.  If he was to get a 2nd chance, it had to be somewhere else.

  9. Any chance we can grab a super versatile RB in the mid rounds? this dude’s comp is McCaffrey. Not saying he will be that but not a bad comp.  He had no problem killing it vs Power-5 players in the Senior Bowl practices

Lamar is a overpriced average QB that will never win a SB for the Ravens.  He is a terrible in playoff games when it matters.  Even worse than JA17.

Josh at least leaves it all out on the field.  I can't say that about Lamar.  Lemar makes some bad throws too when he has no pressure on him.  He does this constantly.  Then he has a temper tantrum on the sidelines and hangs his head.

Josh is starting to get better in this aspect of his game.  Josh needs some work here too but Lamar is just terrible.

Now we have to wait a entire 2024 season to see what happens in this coming playoff season.

Lamar, in this article by Total Pro Sports, is given an A- and Josh gets a C+.

It is amazing how biased the media is towards Lamar Jackson.

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/final-grades-for-all-32-nfl-teams-starting-quarterbacks-for-the-2023-season-after-super-bowl-58/ss-BB1iotgR?ocid=hpmsn&cvid=0304d17bd6784987a1b6c1c9962e0bb2&ei=74#interstitial=2

To give Allen the same grade as Minshew and Browning is absurdity.  He’s simply held to a different standard than Lamar and everyone else.  And the turnovers for Josh are magnified times 10.  If Lamar had 10 more rushing TDs added to his 2023 stats media would be gushing.

The real problem is the MVP.  It's just a weird popularity contest.  I don't know who votes, but what's happened the last few years is about November the broadcasters all start speculating about who the MVP might be, naming a top 5, and somehow over the next month they drop names off the list, so that by the end of the season the announcers have built a consensus for one guy or another.  As we saw this season, the announcers anointed Lamar before Josh and the Bills had a late season run - by early December they all were saying Lamar is the consensus choice.   How can that make sense - it's a 17 game season, and a bunch of announcers decide who's going to be the MVP after 12 games.

Plus, of course, the MVP is a regular season award and not a playoff award.

Josh was ruled out early on with the 6-6 record and his INTs.  You hit it when you said 12 games, that when they narrowed it down to Lamar vs the field and ignored everything Josh did the rest of the way.  And then the Ravens killed the 49ers and embarrassed Miami to get the #1 seed.

The criteria is set.  The MVP is going to be the QB on the #1 seeded team with the best record.  That's it.  And Lamar's team beat Purdy's team head to head to make it even easier in the voters minds.

In my personal opinion,,,if not Allen (the most TD's and great stats leading us to the #2 seed),  then I would've given it to CMC or Tyreek.  Both were hugely important and made their respective teams what they were.

They won a Super Bowl with a receiving corps of Rice, MVS, Watson, Hardman and Richie James, two god-awful tackles and a backup LG filling in for an All-Pro on offense. They can play another decade and not have a worse offense than they had this year.

While your point is taken, don't leave Kelce out of the receivers mix.  He had a great playoffs.  The All world Coach, QB and TE has been critical to dynasties.

    Belichek-Brady-Gronk

    Reid- Mahomes-Kelce

    McDermott-Allen-Kincaid/Knox?  where's our dynasty

  13. I heard somewhere that over the past 4 years Josh has something like 73 more TD's than Lamar, which is an outrageous number even if Lamar didn't play a whole bunch of games. Being available is also very important, which Josh is.

Can you imagine if Lamar and Josh's numbers were reversed in that timeframe?  Lamar would have 4 MVP's by now.

Last time I checked, football is a team sport.

These crazy Josh stats just reinforce my feelings on one thing that i harp on.  Lamar is a fruadulent MVP who was carried by his defense and special teams.  He won the MVP based on taking fewer chances and fewer mistakes since they were often ahead or set up with great field position (in large part thanks to the D).

  15. Mahomes takes the layups.  He takes the easy throw when it's there.  Only one pass greater than 20 yards in the Super Bowl.  He limits mistakes.  Couple that with a defense that keeps them in the game when the offense is struggling, that is a SB team.

Obviously Mahomes can be great when he needs to be late in games.

Josh has been good to very good in his playoff career.  Just need a defense to compliment him...when the O goes into a dry spell for a few series.

Yeah 100% correct, I think Chicago is really the only city that’s had any substantial reporting on the epidemic of shootings and hand gun violence in the black communities.

It still doesn’t get the nations attention like these mass shootings because the national MSM has decided mass shootings will help with the anti-gun narrative they’re clearly pushing because they don’t believe people value young black men shooting each other like they value the innocent white bystanders being gunned down.

its pretty obvious, they don’t even try to hide their agenda.

Sure, but getting bogged down in stats misses the point, the media and politicians don’t give a damn because almost all those shootings are perpetrated with handguns by young black men against young black men.

Gun violence is more of an inner city violence thing. Yes, there are shootings everywhere but I live near DC and the gun usage and deaths in certain areas is off the chain...and it spills over.  They track down some of these violent lunatics who do crimes in the suburbs and many come up from DC to rob, car jack and kill.  I blame the people doing these acts and the glorified culture of violence more than the actual guns.
