  1. I heard somewhere that over the past 4 years Josh has something like 73 more TD's than Lamar, which is an outrageous number even if Lamar didn't play a whole bunch of games. Being available is also very important, which Josh is.

Can you imagine if Lamar and Josh's numbers were reversed in that timeframe?  Lamar would have 4 MVP's by now.

Last time I checked, football is a team sport.

These crazy Josh stats just reinforce my feelings on one thing that i harp on.  Lamar is a fruadulent MVP who was carried by his defense and special teams.  He won the MVP based on taking fewer chances and fewer mistakes since they were often ahead or set up with great field position (in large part thanks to the D).

  3. Mahomes takes the layups.  He takes the easy throw when it's there.  Only one pass greater than 20 yards in the Super Bowl.  He limits mistakes.  Couple that with a defense that keeps them in the game when the offense is struggling, that is a SB team.

Obviously Mahomes can be great when he needs to be late in games.

Josh has been good to very good in his playoff career.  Just need a defense to compliment him...when the O goes into a dry spell for a few series.

Yeah 100% correct, I think Chicago is really the only city that’s had any substantial reporting on the epidemic of shootings and hand gun violence in the black communities.

It still doesn’t get the nations attention like these mass shootings because the national MSM has decided mass shootings will help with the anti-gun narrative they’re clearly pushing because they don’t believe people value young black men shooting each other like they value the innocent white bystanders being gunned down.

its pretty obvious, they don’t even try to hide their agenda.

Sure, but getting bogged down in stats misses the point, the media and politicians don’t give a damn because almost all those shootings are perpetrated with handguns by young black men against young black men.

Gun violence is more of an inner city violence thing. Yes, there are shootings everywhere but I live near DC and the gun usage and deaths in certain areas is off the chain...and it spills over.  They track down some of these violent lunatics who do crimes in the suburbs and many come up from DC to rob, car jack and kill.  I blame the people doing these acts and the glorified culture of violence more than the actual guns.

  5. I remember watching a YouTube video of the Bills being interviewed in the lockerroom directly after SB25.   The WKBW reporter was talking to Norwood.  He was talking about the missed kick and the mechanics that went through his head.  This was probably within 30 mins of the game ending.  I just think, wow you miss a kick that big it has to weigh on your mind for every future big kick.  That's what worries me about Bass.  That miss vs KC cut him deep.  Will he overthink future kick? Will he improve or decline as his career goes on.  Must be nice to have a kicker like Butker who never seems to miss a big kick.

  6. Like the Chiefs, the Bills need to hit on some defensive guys and McDermott not be afraid to start them on day 1.  KC just won a SB with young draft picks and an efficient but certainly NOT great offense.  We have the QB, give him some talent to work with... but in the end the QB can get you there but defense wins championships.

I actually said the same exact thing…I would rather lose in the 2nd round than in the superbowl…

People forget about divisional round losses…But Super Bowl losses are forever, and we would definitely lose if we ever went back again…

So I’m good just watching Josh rock out every week…What I don’t need is another superbowl loss…I’m good on that…😉

I’ve thought that since the mid-90’s.  Don’t want to be in it unless we have the team to win the thing.  I don’t think the Bills would’ve beaten Baltimore anyway. We didn’t have the D the Chiefs had. I have relatives from Baltimore and they agreed the Bass missed FG and Bills loss ultimately cost the Ravens a SB appearance.

No other team has benefited from such fortuitous circumstances like the Chiefs. Remember last year when they were getting dominated by Philly and then Hurts fumbles for 6? Or when the refs called a ticky tack hold on the Eagles defender to seal the game for KC? Or the game before that where the Bengal defender shoved Mahomes late out of bounds to put them in FG range? I can’t really explain how the bounces always seem to go their way. The one time it didn’t - last night where the 49ers were gifted a fresh set of downs after a defensive hold - they still come through with the TD to steal it in the end. They’ve got a knack for winning even when they should lose. Gotta give it to them.

KC's final four possessions were TD, FG, FG, TD.   They let Mahomes hang around, he will figure it out and it's inevitably over.  This QB, the Chiefs franchise, the city have been touched by god.

  9. I've seen enough Diggs interviews now that it's plainly obvious.  He would very much welcome a trade to another team...probably somewhere in a larger market where he can oversee his upcoming clothing line and post NFL fashion career.

His heart in not in Buffalo anymore.  The best he can say about Allen is he will "always be fam the way they welcomed him in".  But that's about it.  Diggs' drop in the biggest moment will be the culmination of his Bills career.  He acted like his disappearing act in the 2nd half of the season, was not his doing.

Part of being the 1 seed is favorable brackets.

the top 3 SB potential QB’s in the conference are Allen, Mahomes and Burrow in no particular order. Whoever has avoided playing BOTH the other 2 QB’s has made the Super Bowl.

Mahomes played Allen and Burrow back to back. Lost to Burrow.

Burrow has played Allen and Mahomes back to back. Lost to Mahomes.

it’s going to be a slog if we can’t get fat and happy on the Jags or whoever waiting for the other elite AFC teams to kill each other.

KC just beat Miami (no biggie),,,and at Josh Allen, at Lamar and vs what was billed as the best and most talented team in the NFL for much of the season.   Winning playoff games back to back in Buffalo and Baltimore is extremely hard to do.  KC as a 3 seed really earned this one.

  11. The Bills need a defense to complement the Allen playoff offense.   Yes, the word complementary is prominent.  They also need a reliable kicker.  The offense should be efficient but like KC, doesn't need to take crazy risky chances until it's absolutely necessary.  They don't need to be the greatest show on turf.  Unfortunately our defense chokes in crunch time and/or the injury bug hits us.  Somehow the Bills D needs to be playoff ready because they will see Mahomes, Burrow and Lamar for the next few years if we are fortunate enough to keep making the tournament.

Mahomes did not lead the Chiefs to victory tonight. Their defense did. Something Josh cannot rely on come the post season.

I agree about the defense, they played awesome...but Mahomes did make plays to tie at the end and he lead them to the winning TD in OT.   You can't just say he was along for the ride.  He willed them to win imo.  He has the it factor.

Their playoff numbers are both off the charts.

The difference is Allen's defense has failed him when he put them in position to win

Josh matches Mahomes greatness when they play.

There’s just little things each game that add up like accuracy, ball placement, pocket awareness… not huge differences but enough to give Mahomes all these SB’s.

As i’ve said before i think Josh Allen is the best football player in the league.  But Mahomes is the best QB and it’s indisputable.

The thing with Mahomes is just his ability to not make mistakes in the clutch. It is Brady-like. He plays those end of game scenarios perfectly time and again.

People around here have a tough time admitting it.  Mahomes is the best. If people watch all the little things he does and does not do… including what you mentioned. He’s the absolute best.  Allen is an excellent and fun football player to watch.  He’s not the QB Mahomes is though.
