  1. I like your perspective, even though I strongly guess that that was not the original intent.
  2. See, that's why I come to this board. Posters with knowledge! I like to hold things up to a magnifying glass as opposed to putting them under a microscope. Go Bills, go Spiller, even go Stevie (just shut up and play).
  3. Not necessary, Badol is a good poster and knows plenty about football... I don't see the need for the thread, either, though. I'd be more annoyed if CJ didn't believe he could get 2000 yards.
  4. I am no psychologist, but I would not be surprised if this family issue makes this a difficult year for Spiller. I feel bad for the guy. The team is lucky that it has a capable, professional and hungry #2 in Freddy, but I hope Spiller finds some healing and kicks ass for the team. They need him.
  5. I will never for the life of me figure out why a guy this talented feels the need to play so dirty. He is the Romo of this generation. NFL careers are long and winding and usually put you on a few teams during their courses. He is going to be reviled by fellow players for this kind of stuff, and if I were his teammate, I definitely wouldn't respect him.
  6. Hyperbole is the #1 problem on this board. Guess how much Eric Moulds would have produced in his career if he were written off after less than 17 games? I'm not saying that Graham is Moulds, but he has a skill set and I'm sure that the team is going to decide when they've seen enough of it. Receivers typically take time to develop in this league.
  7. Given that NE was selling out to stop CJ, I would like to have seen both backs on the field, CJ split wide more, Freddy getting the ball more, and a little more downfield look. There were more of those plays there and two of them were called back on penalties. Penalties and turnovers cost you games without question, though. When you lose, it's usually because you couldn't overcome those mistakes.
  8. Give me Fred Jackson's focus, effort and preparation in every player on the offense, and you've got a winning team here with the talent on hand. Luckily it looks like EJ is similar in that respect. I do know that Stevie thinks he is a vet and a leader at this point, but I do hope that EJ won't be afraid to respectfully but purposefully challenge him to do better. The good QBs do that.
  9. Gronk was a guy who couldn't stay healthy - and is a fantastic pick already. If he retires tomorrow he'll have given his team value.
  10. I noticed everybody really anticipating the snap more than usual. Good to see they are raring to go, but they are going to get victimized with a hard count if they keep hitting the gas this much, especially next time against Brady.
  11. Really want the kid from Washington. Broke his pinkie so maybe his stock will slip a bit without as much senior season tape.
  12. Agreed. It's my hope that the offense was more set back by the penalties and turnovers than by their game plan.
  13. Let's be honest, man. He shot that guy the right way.
  14. [furiously sets up kickstarter]
  15. Stop using protection, Buffalo.
  16. Where is Chandler's 8 minute press conference? I feel cheated.
  17. Fair enough. Agreed. Call it lucky or call it what you will, but that goal line stop and turnover was a big momentum-shifter and the offense fed off of it. Past Bills teams don't even create those chances for themselves in that situation. They got scored on. Period.
  18. He looked like a capable replacement kicker, nothing more. Agreed that we want to see more of an advantage to this part of the game.
  19. I fail to see why. The Bills had command of this game and made correctable mistakes. The Patriots played their game, but they are down a number of critical resources. Fewer mistakes usually wins, but when those are on an equal level, talent wins. I like what we've got once we learn to use it better.
  20. No other answer to give. Even if you fire the guy(!!!!) you're hoping his replacement is not a total idiot who takes tons of time to adjust. Hackett is young, too; we've got to remember this. What they're banking on is that his creativity will balance his inexperience over time.
  21. We call that Classic Bills Tackling®.
  22. Some dink and dunk, yes, but I want to know how you strategize against those perfect down the middle passes thrown to Amendola. Beautiful throws by Brady and awesome effort by the receiver. Sometimes as a fan you just have to admit the other guy is very, very good. My guess is you just beat the crap out of Amendola within the first 5 yards of the LOS, but easier said than done.
