1. I thought they would be 4-1 to start .. and the loss would be to Atlanta ... so almost right on .. next games are NO and Miami and the Jets. NO will he high to be "home" but don't scare me, hard to believe Miami is leading the division and the Jets are in worst shape than us .. at least we have SOMEONE to be the QB. Still can see them being 3-2 after 5 games .. but the rest of the way is not easy 1) 8-8 would be great at this point - realistic - 6-10 2) JP has to play. What are the options? Kid has to learn. And if at the end of the year he is still a mess ... send him to Europe for a season ! 3) Defense has always been over-rated. They do poor on 3rf downs and poorly tackle. Have for a while. Beat up some BAD teams last year. Would be happy to see them start stopping the run and give up a lot less yardage on 3rd downs 4) Get into a short passing game (gee, just what they did for Drew!) and give the kid a chance to just drop the ball off - find a rythem - get some confidence 5) Run the ball !!! I remember chanting that at bills games when Buffalo was passing on 3rd and 2 all of the time. Run the ball !!!!
2. No big fan of mike Williams but a bad ankle for a OL man is a whole lot different than a thumb in a cast for a safety. If it means he can't block or run then go to the back up
3. Yep ... Drew sure sucks .... maybe some people just wish it was true ! 21-36 for 261 yards ... 1 TD ... 0 sacks / fumbles / INTS Rating 90.2 But I am sure there will be 20 reasons HE lost the game .. so which position does he play on D and special teams?
4. At least the cheerleaders are worth watching ... can't say that about the game! Get Kelly in the game .. its still winable !! http://www.buccaneers.com/media/graphics/c...mee_Perkins.jpg http://www.buccaneers.com/media/graphics/c...orgia_Brown.jpg http://www.buccaneers.com/media/graphics/c...ayla_Drawdy.jpg http://www.buccaneers.com/media/graphics/c...Giovannello.jpg http://www.buccaneers.com/media/graphics/c...chel_Watson.jpg http://www.buccaneers.com/media/graphics/c...moko_Kojima.jpg
5. Was a nice start to the season ... but it was the Texans still. Defense played well and offense played well enough to win. Few points that could stand to be better: 3-14 in 3rd downs 5.9 yards a pass ... could be better McGahee has a solid game ... but no other RB added much 8 people caught a ball .. but only TD was to Peters .. that could be improved Good news: Lindell 5 FG's ... and all looked well kicked. Moorman solid as always defense and the 100 yards given up .. excellent Win the turnovers 5-0
6. Amazing ! You do a post were you compare some of the QB's over the past 10-12 years and you get bashed for saying Drew was not that bad compared to some .. and you get told to move on AND then people post crap like this ... I imagine that you are all really GREAT at what you do and I hope you NEVER grow old .. because it sure is clear you will never grow up ! Must make you feel great to rip a guy who NEVER was accused of giving up or not trying ... Maybe you should focus on your "team" instead ... they have a few weak spots .. I am sure your insight would be helpfull ! pathetic
7. Great ... A Pats troll who thinks he has something to say ... must be tough finding places to pound ones chest ... Remember .. you can go to the bottom as fast as the top in the NFL ... couple of key injuries ... tougher schedule .. few bad calls ... If I remember correct the Pats have won a lot of close games over the years .. many on the foot of their kicker ... I remember DB getting knocked out and they lucked out to have a 6th round pick who turned out ok (Brady) ... Pats have lost two excellent key coaches .... and they "won" a tough schedule ... The bigger they are the harder they fall .. enjoy the view ... everyone will be shooting for them !
8. If JP has 15 TDs and 18 INTs the Bills won't be 9 - 7. I think we beat the JESTS once - unless Lindell costs us the friggin game. I also think we beat the NewenGland Patsies once. 429250 Sure he can be ... plays well enough to win and in the losses forces it and gets 2-3 bad INT's. Drew was 20TG;s and 16 INT's ... for a 9-7 team Remember the D and special teams need to avarage a score a game for the Bills this year for any shoot at 9-7 We lose to the Jets away and the home game is less than 3 points either way .. I figure he misses The only way we beat NE is they get lost coming to the game. They will be 13 point or netter favorites. We got beat bad both games last year. What has changed?
9. I took the fox sports pre-season rankings and used the numbers to compare the hardest of the schedules ... was suprised to see Buffalo ranked #5 ! Adding all of the rank numbers I got and got this for each team: (lower the number the harder the teams) Buffalo: 244 or an average of 15.25 Miami: 214 or an avearge of 13.8 NE: 224 or an average of 14 NY Jets: 226 or an average of 14.13 So Buffalo has the "easiest" schedule, but all fairly close. Buffalo: 1st half vs. 2nd half, home and away just above the same level of opponants Miami: 2nd half a lot harder, home and road the same NE: 1st half a lot harder, little harder road schedule Jets: 2nd half a lot harder, home and road the same NE does not play a AFC east team till its last 10 games, and 4 of its last 5 Each team plays 2 games aginst other teams that are unique to them. Buffalo plays Houston and Cincinnati (should win both) Miami plays Tenn and Cleveland (two teams they could actually beat !) NE plays Pittsburgh and Indianapolis (two teams they could lose to) Jets play Baltimore and Jacksonville (both could beat the Jets) Hardest group of games (5-6 span) Buffalo: Jets, Oakland, NE, KC, San Diego (2-3 would be nice) Miami: Last 5 games against Buffalo, San Diego, Jets, Tenn and NE NE: Wicked group near the beginning of Pitt, SD, Atlanta, Denver, Buffalo, Indy Jets: Baltimore, TB, Buffalo, Atlanta, SD I see Buffalo being 9-7, I see them losing all 4 games to NE and the Jets. I see them being 6-6 in the AFC. I can see them not making the playoffs by losing the tie breakers I can see Losman having 15TD's and 18INT's I see WM averaging about 90 yards a game or 1400 yards rushing I can see the defence and special teams being top 3. See our FG kicker being below average all year. Comments?
10. Interesting comments from people ... who i doubt many have spent time in NO. I have been there a number of times for work, have been to Metairie, which is right at the end of the 26 mile bridge that crosses that Lake who's levee that failed. I remember sitting in a 3rd floor contrence room and looking out across the top of the lake about 2 feet below me. I asked were you not afraid the levee would ever fail. The comment was if a BIg one ever hit people knew to get out of the city as it was a real possibility. I was amazed. We worry about some snow and ice and they were looking at miles of water like it was no big deal. Talk about having ones head buried in the sand ! Its almost as amazing to read this news story ... "Tropical storms may be growing in overall intensity due to human-induced global warming, according to a new study by leading hurricane researcher Kerry Emanuel. His report, which has generated controversy among climate specialists, was published earlier this month in the journal Nature. Emanuel looked comprehensively at storm data since the mid-1970s and concluded that the destructive power of hurricanes has nearly doubled over the past three decades at least partially because of human-induced global warming. Critics of the study say hurricanes are not intensifying and that the cause of the rising ocean temperature is natural, not human-made. " Gee why let the facts get in the way !!! If one looks at the actual numbers, the number of catagory 3,4 and 5 storms has actual reduced over the years where the high was in the 1940's ... I guess global warming caused that !! Here is the chart "Another way of looking at this subject is considering the number of major (catagory 3 or above) landfalling hurricanes in the US. These data do not suffer from the drawback of missing smaller storms or under rating due to missing of the moment of maximum intensity (for the older data). Their strength at the moment of landfall is precisely known. This gives rise to the following overview: period Number of major landfalling hurricanes Cat. 3 Cat. 4 Cat.5 Total 1891 - 1900 5 1 6 1901 - 1910 5 1 6 1911 - 1920 3 2 5 1921 - 1930 3 2 5 1931 - 1940 6 1 1 8 1941 - 1950 9 1 10 1951 - 1960 5 3 8 1961 - 1970 4 1 1 6 1971 - 1980 4 4 1981 - 1990 3 1 4 1991 - 2000 3 1 4 Here is the link for those interested .. http://www.euronet.nl/users/e_wesker/atlhur.html Watched the news last night and listed to the general of the Army Corp of Engineers. They could if they wanted close the levee today. Its 70% closed already but they want a way for the water to escape. If another storm was to appear they are ready to close the opening. They do have a major concern of the condition of the "dry" side of the levee;s now that they have been under water, that if they get rid of the water they may fail due to the soil being already soaked. If anyone can figure a fix to that, those guys can. My last thoughts ... I don't think we have yet felt the true effects of what has happened in NO. NO is one of the largest shipping ports in the US and feeds the Mississippi. It handles not only food, manufactured goods but oil and gas. The ripple effect of that will effect food prices and the economy for the whole nation. Rebuilding the city is almost second to being sure that is fixed first. Of course where do the workers come from? Its a mess. Hindsight is always 20/20. Especially by people who never did anything to help address the issues earlier. Thank god I live in western NY !
11. Wow .. so many thoughtfull intelligent replys ! my POINT was a responce to posts like "Drew had a movement today .. took a dump" and the like. The numbers show that Drew was no better or worse than the beloved Kelly or Flutie in his stats. Was it time for a chance .. sure it was .. is JP the answer .. sure hope so but WAY to early to tell ... was Drew a bum .. hell no ... he had weaknesses and strengths ... and often the people around a QB either hide them or make them all the more apparent. Imagine if Kelly had to run for his life .. he had no whels wither. Besides Moulds who did Drew have over the 3 years to throw to ... Price ? hurt Tight ends .. I know .. he fumbled ... patted the ball .. lost all of our games ... Guess it was he who missed FG's ... who let game ending TD;s happen against the defense ..etc! Its a team sport and all play a role ... Drew was not as people "like" to remember ... he never blamed others and got up after many a brutal hit ... so why do people have such a problem moving on ... I thought the numbers were interesting just the same !
12. You would almost think that Drew must have owed some people money on here .. or got their sister knocked up .. with the constant bashing the guy gets ... Looking back at the line of QB's the Bills have had from Jim Kelly and on ... Drew was darn OK ... Jim Kelly (who is my favorite!) had 5 fairly average years ,, in fact last 5 years had almost the same TD's as INT's Then Todd Collins .... fairly bad Then the Flutie / Johnson years ... 3 winning years and pretty good TD / INT numbers ... so for all the bashing also did not do so bad ... Van Pelt ... numbers are not so bad for a 3-13 team Drew ... 2 more losses than wins ... his completion percent and yardage as good as Kelly ever did .. his rating was as good As Flutie and equal to Kelly's last year Bottom line ... Drew did a fair to average job as QB ...highest yardage year of anyone and no reason to bash the guy ... HELL of a lot better than ANYONE on this board could have done ! There are MANY other factors to consider but they are not just QB factors (like running game, WR's, OL, quality of the D, special teams) but with just the QB numbers Drew was at least as good as the past QB's

15. Was watching PTI today ... Warren Sapp said the Moss is the "greatest player" he has ever played with .. and when asked to compare to KJ .. just laughted ! "Like comparing a Rolls to a Chevy" ! Enough said ...
16. Not saying that a few are not way above average .. but to give the LPGA the press people do is wrong. The womens soccer teams are just as talented .. even if boring. Women basketball has as many if not more better athletics ... And as to a 59 ... thats is impressive ... and so is shooting this ! 12 Annika Sorenstam 72-66-72-75 285 -3 $50,520 Not real good the the worlds best !
17. My thoughts .... Michael Jordan ... Maybe the greatest drive to never lose ... not win .. just never lose .. look at how he plays golf .... big bets on every hole .. man is driven to not lose ! Tiger Woods ... greatest attention to his sport .. who else has remade and rebuilt his game like he has ... and wins in todays very competive PGA enviornment Jim Thorpe ... never saw him so kind of hard to rate ... but sounded like what he did with so much predujuce against him .. like Jackie Robinson Bo Jackson ... my vote for best .. dominated two sports and could have done any with his size, speed and skills ... look at footage of him playing baseball an d football ... For the period he palyed before getting hurt he was amazing .. 1989 ... was an All-star in baseball and played football Career Batting Record Year Team G AB R H 2b 3b HR RBI BB SO BA SP 1986 KC AL 25 82 9 17 2 1 2 9 7 34 .207 .329 1987 KC AL 116 396 46 93 17 2 22 53 30 158 .235 .455 1988 KC AL 124 439 63 108 16 4 25 68 25 146 .246 .472 1989 KC AL 135 515 86 132 15 6 32 105 39 172 .256 .495 1990 KC AL 111 405 74 110 16 1 28 78 44 128 .272 .523 1991 CHI AL 23 71 8 16 4 0 3 14 12 25 .225 .408 1993 CHI AL 85 284 32 66 9 0 16 45 23 106 .232 .433 1994 CAL AL 75 201 23 56 7 0 13 43 20 72 .279 .507 Totals 8 yrs. 694 2393 341 598 86 14 141 415 200 841 .250 .474 Top of Page NFL Statistics Year Team G Att Yds Ave TD Rec Yds Ave TD 1987 OAK 7 81 554 6.8 4 16 136 8.5 2 1988 OAK 10 136 580 4.3 3 9 79 8.8 0 1989 OAK 11 173 950 5.5 4 9 69 7.7 0 1990 OAK 10 125 698 5.6 5 6 68 11.3 0 Totals 38 515 2782 5.4 16 40 352 8.8 2 Lance Armstrong ... ti win ANYTHING 7 times is beyond amazing but what part of that is the team vs. him? Wilt Chamerlain ... greatest in bed??? He was and will always be the ONLY player able to score 50 and reb 20 a game .. and bed 6 more ! Jerry Rice ... excellent receiver with the skills of a surgen Jim Brown ... a Bo Jackon type I never saw ... and played in a age where no one had seen that kind of power
18. You know ... I was willingto BET that someone would come up with that reply !! They are people too .. gee thanks .. did not know that !! "My thought is women are people too. They want to play fine. Until you or I can beat an LPGA player they are better than us." And you are right .. I can't beat ANY of them .. but that sure does not make them pro's !! That last course actually had HARD greens .. if it had been LONG and those greens the poor women pro's would have shoot 100's !! You did not bother to reply to the points I made .. so where was I wrong? have you ever watched them up close? I have sat at the same whole for a whole round and watched them approch it. Unless you are talking about the top dozen or so most blunder there way around. At least in the other women's sports the level of play seems higher. Look at the top women like Wie (who has yet to win anything) and Annake. They play with the men and don't make the cut yet we are lead to believe they are two of teh GREATEST ever women golfers. Well where are the great low rounds from these easy courses?? "My favs are Paula Creamer and Nicole Perot. Creamer won $365,000 yesterday in the Evian Classic. She's a great player, and very poised for 18 years old rookie. Were you pulling in $365K a week when you were 18? I wasn't." Never said a few were not cute, but thats not the point. And she won a lot of money. Great for her. Did you look down and she what the rest made? She will be quite a player, for the womens tour. But can you name 10-12 more that are even close? I still say its to big a deal about fairly average golfers playing short easy courses so they can even get scores in the high 60's 389055
19. Have watched the women for the last few years .. both on TV and at the Rochester LPGA tournament .. my thoughts 1) Only the top 10-15 have any real chance to win week to week .. bottom 2/3 of the field is young and generally out of shape .. amazed how many have a roll around the waist. 2) Most can't putt to save their souls. Whwn someone loke Creamer or Ochao come along and can putt they dominat. Watch them putt and see if anyone sinks a putt over 10 feet. 3) they play such short courses ! Case in point they one they just played. Par: 72 Yardage: 6,252 Hole-by-Hole: 1 - Par 4 364 yds 10 - Par 4 392 yds 2 - Par 3 149 yds 11 - Par 4 349 yds 3 - Par 4 359 yds 12 - Par 4 414 yds 4 - Par 4 374 yds 13 - Par 4 386 yds 5 - Par 4 313 yds 14 - Par 3 195 yds 6 - Par 4 386 yds 15 - Par 5 523 yds 7 - Par 5 514 yds 16 - Par 4 284 yds 8 - Par 3 170 yds 17 - Par 3 115 yds 9 - Par 5 490 yds 18 - Par 5 475 yds ------------- ------------- 36 3,119 yds 36 3,133 yds I mean the par 3's are 115, 149, 170 and 195. Thats almost the same as the little par 3 courses and par 4's that are 284, 386, 349, 313, 359 ... those are short ! I would hope they can shoot under par ! Even the par 5's are not bad ... 490, 514, 475, and 523 ... 4) I watched the two leaders lay up on a 386 par 4 because they were afraid of sand traps around it .. and the gal that went for it and found the trap had a short birdie putt while they scrambled to make par. Big differance than the men. In gemeral I think the women tour has few good players and maybe only 3-4 players that would rank maybe 70-75 on the mens tour. Thoughts?
20. I tried to look at this based on the seasons the Bills have had lately .. lose to teams they should beat ... lose on the road ... and then always put together a string of wins. Sure they could go 11-5 ... that happens a lot ! With parity and a young QB I think 8-8 would be good ....but 10-6 would be needed for the playoffs. Not sure thats very likely. Those last 5 games are tough but they could suprise. I think at QB we will be better but not by a lot. He is a rookie. Lets be resonable. Plus lets see how he does in Rich in December ! At RB we look about the same. It is worrysome that TH is still in limbo. They do need a solid backup, would be nice if it was him but thats not going to happen. Receiving should be better but it will take some time for them and Losman to get on the same page. Kicking is still weak .. Field goal kicking that is ... Defence is solid but I would like to see better 3rd down coverage .. that cost a few games last year. 8-8 still looks right to me

22. Glad u had a good time ... my comments below ! Not that anyone cares, but I played on Sunday. Here are my opinions in no particular order: - very scenic, well maintained course Yes it is ... one of the better ones around ! - very poorly marked course as it pertains to yardage Should have warned u on that, I know the course and am always looking for the marers, some I do not believe either- the greens were hard and fast - the front is definitely shorter and definitely tighter Like I said, use just irons on the front ! - you shouldn't drink 20 beers at your niece's graduation party the night before you have a 6:30 a.m. tee time Well maybe only 15 would have been ok ! - $37 was a bit steep Sure is !! But I bet you had a cart ... most of the area course are at least that if not more .. if you had played Gratstone bet it would have been $50 and no better time I'm sure everyone is most interested to know - 50, yes that's right a 50 on the front and a 42 on the back. My driver (which I should have not been even hitting on the front) was very wild the first several holes and got me in trouble. If I played that course 2 more times, I would easily play it in the low 80's. Thanks for all of those that gave me input...it was helpful. I am a once a week hack ... and shoot 50-52 each week ... its a fun course and the greens are as tough as any ... would LOVE to see the LPGA play them .. I KNOW I would bet a few of those gals !!
23. Have played there on Thursdays for the last 15 years .... People are right ... there are more challanging courses around .. but none in better shape or prettier .... I think the greens are tough .. pin placements some nights are wicked .. on sides of hills or on the very edge of the greens near a hazard. If it storms this is a course to get off fast .. people have died here due to lighting ! Front 9 you can pla with just irons .. very short .... back 8 is longer but if you stay out of trouble I think easier. Hole 1 very short par 5 ... stay to the left and you should get a par Hole 2 340 yard par 4 .. just do NOT be long to the green .. i you are over its down a bank and into the water Hole 3 ... short par 3 .. easy Hole 4 ... my killer hole ... you can find the stream .. hit the trees . or get lost on the side hill .. green is huge and they love the pin right on the edge of the upper tier ... Hole 5 ... LONG par 3 with water all around the hole ... lots of ways to screw up ... prettiest hole on the course Hole 6 ... green is elevated above the fairway .. a two putt on this green is doing well ... check the pin as you play #3 as u can not see the pin from the fairway Hole 7 ... just stay right .. left is gone down a STEEP slope ... big green with a lot of pitch Hole 8 ... 220 yards to the turn .. then due left to the hole 180 yards away .. this green is always like rock so aim short of the hole Hole 9 .. nice hard par 4 .. depends on the pin .. its been on the very back upper level tier .. easy to 4 putt if the ball rolls back down to the lower level Hole 10 .... nice par 5 .. lots of hazards ... sand .. two ponds ... HUGE green ... par here is good ! Hole 11 ... par 3 .. hard part is pine trees may block the ball from getting to the flag if the pin is left Hole 12 ... fairly easy dogleg right ... just miss all the trees off the tee and its not bad Hole 13 ... longest par 5 ... good tee shot and reachable in two for u .. green can be tough ..its huge and has a elevated front and back Hole 14 ... 200 yards to the turn. then sharp right .. easy green Hole 15 .. tee off over water, then its up to a VERY steep green with a flat top at the back . if the flag is in the middle you better be below the hole .. putting down hill is not fun Hole 16 .. wide open .. but the green has the lower middle and a high front and back .. again depends on the pin if its hard Hole 17 par 3 .. sand around green .. deepest bunkers ... pitched green .. par here is tricky Hole 18 ... par 4 .. hardest hole on the course ... good drive gets you to the top of the last rise .. hitting to a green above you with a LOT of pitch to it ... hard to stop the ball on it .. very fast ... people roll off all of the time So ... have fun .. hope this helps !! Ken
