Kelly on the sidelines tonight...
JStranger76 replied to SuperBills12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Edwards plays scared I hope Jim kicks him right in the d**k. It's time to take it up another level Trent. -
Back in da day when I played we would just cast it up and club people with it. Seriously though, I hate seeing bad things happen to good people. That really sucks for him and the Bears.

Crabtree to re-enter draft

I too, wish this kid all the worst. -
Actually, I like Poz too(wouldn't at #11), but just think he needs better outside support so he can just concentrate on mainly run support. Mitchell is actually the snail of the bunch and Ellison is well.....Ellison. As some one already stated, he could be very effective in a 3-4 as one of the inside backers but it would be another 2 years minimum for us to switch to that defense and run it effectively. A big ol' mammoth next to Stroud would help Poz tremendously as well. Just look at how Ngata resurrected Ray Lewis' career...........Oh s**t.

Right or wrong Loadholt probably doesn't fit what the Bills think they are trying to do, whatever the hell that is. For the record though, I never liked Butler at G. He never got any push no matter what stupid "they had the highest rush average behind him" argument anyone wants to bring up and although Levitre hasn't shown he's any better in this area, he already has shown he's more athletic getting to the 2nd level and will only get better. I think the interior has a good future ahead of it but yeah, I'd like to see another tackle brought in as well.

Let's just hope it continues AF88Bills. I believe the lines have taken a positive new direction, but the work IS NOT finished.

I think Bills/Tampa is a toss up. Before realizing that Tampa had more talent on the offensive side of the ball than I originally thought, I had the game as a probable win.

Kellen Winslow Jr. and Jeremy Stevens vs. Donte Whitner and Bryan Scott( or little Byrd ). It could be a pretty ugly matchup for us Bills fans.

Lots of Penn Staters on this board bills44. I'm not knocking the Penn St fans, but the LBers from Penn St have been overhyped for some time now. For the record(I'm not a PennSt=bust U basher), I think Maybin will have a Jason Taylor type career. He'll get owned by some of the elite OT's over the course of his career, but he will make his share of plays too. If he developes an effective inside move, he'll be great.

Fezmid, you need to contact and pitch them that commercial. It's a win win for the Buffalo bills and Levitre!!!

Watching Tampa/Dallas......Tampa has an offensive lineup that will give us huge fits....0-3 is very possible.

All I know is I'm pulling for Edwards to establish himself as the man because 1st: he is QB of the Buffalo Bills 2nd: I hate rolling the dice on a college QB waiting and hoping they pan out and 3rd: I love the crop of DT's and DE's coming out this next draft and I want one of em' !!! Let's go Trent, 25 TD's and only 10 INT's is all we are asking for!!!

What's your lock pick for today's game?
JStranger76 replied to PeteBills4ever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bears 72 Packers 2. DA Bears!!!! -
I personally don't want Maybin to get a whole lot bigger, especially if it affects his burst. As he gets more expirience, he will need to learn more technique and leverage. That will help him when playing the run, not another extra 20-25 lbs. When your going against guys who weigh anywhere from 315- 340 lbs, weighing 260 instead of 240 really isn't gonna help any, that OT is still gonna be way bigger than you. It's gonna be a learning process when it comes to Maybin playing the run, but look at Jason Taylors career( also probably the player with the most similar skillset to maybin) : early in his career was considered a little bit of a liability in the run D department but over the years from learning leverage, technique, and studying his opponent Taylor became quite a good run defender himself. Never did Taylor weigh over 240 lbs (lighter than what Maybin weighs right now) in his career and I'd be very satisfied if Maybin turns into that type of player. For now, I hope he plays 3rd down specialist 80% of the time and just gets playing time here and there on run downs. He'll get better there, but it will take a couple years.....

If anybody really thinks Marcus Stroud weighs 310 lbs because nfl.com has him listed at that weight needs to wake the hell up. He is honestly between 340 and 350 he only looks 310ish because he is 6'6. Would I love to have an "undersized" 6'6 310 lb athletic DT Richard Seymore playing right next to him? You're damn right.
-
Like BuffaloBaumer said, I hope edwards takes the next step because this is gonna be an awesome crop of DE's AND DT's coming out. Would love to add one of em'!!!

apparently mario haggan.....

I always liked him as a ILB in a 3-4 or a 2 down/run package type in a 4-3. The dude is big and can hit, but like already mentioned here, had no coverage skills whatsoever. -
Langston Walker released/Kirk Chambers re-signed

I'm with ya NoName on not understanding why so many people wanted Butler to replace Levitre. Oh, I know!!! Cause Chris Collinsworth said welcome to the NFL Levitre!!! You bunch of tools, I'll go on record and say Levitre will perform better at G THIS year than Butler has in his career. Besides that one bad play, Levitre has been one of our most consistent O-linemen, and our most consistent rookie O-lineman. Yes, better than Wood so far going by consistancy. My only complaint with Levitre so far is a lack of push in the run game but hey, I was used to that already watching Butler. This line at least has the most potential upside excerp I'll say I wouldn't mind getting Jonathan Scott some reps at RT. -
Ralph is now in control of the team

Oh really..... -
Well you guys wanted change.....
JStranger76 replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Although I think Bell still has a ways to go this lineup(O-line) probably has the most upside. One other tweak I wouldn't mind seeing is getting Johnathan Scott some reps at RT. I believe he has more upside than Butler there and is still young enough to improve. I liked him coming out of Texas(yeah, I know) and was glad we we're able to pick him up because I knew he was at worst a better swing tackle option than Kirk "the stiff" Chambers who I'm not happy we brought back at all. Like John said we wanted change but I think it will be change for the better....... hopefully sooner rather than later.
