  1. He's 32, not 40, I think he certainly is fit enough, and determined enough to be a starter here, or somewhere in 2005 and for a couple years beyond. The interesting thing about Van Pelt making these comments is that he's a cheerleader for the team obviously, but he's also an unofficial spokesman for ownership, and may be foreshadowing a view from the top for next year.
  2. It makes absolutely no difference who the starting QB is if you're trying to season the new guy. A 48.7 QB rating in two NFL appearances suggests seasoning might be in order. I don't see how he gets better playing Madden in the off season.
  3. Belichick sent Rohan Davey to Europe and he starred there. Belichick claims Davey advanced "light years" in his development. But what would an idiot like Belichick know? The risk injury idea is ridiculous. It's a contact sport guys. ICE, you're the one who's been claiming that you don't get any better on the bench.
  4. I think there's a little more wishful thinking on your part there than actual reality. 9-7, 10-6, playoffs or not I see Bledsoe as the starter with lots more snaps for Losman in preseason. (I still think a stint in Germany would be great for this kid) 8-8 or worse and it's a wide open competition. I'm no capologist but is cutting Bledsoe going to get you that much more cap room. And can you start a season with no viable backup?
  5. Martz is reminiscent of Nixon during the Watergate scandal as the walls were caving in.
  6. The Channukah song by Adam Sandler is my favorite for the period of December 8th to the 17th. It's hilarious. After that, give me, Rock Around the Clock.
  7. Interesting stuff. But if this kid is 6-3, 220 , I'm Yao Ming.
  8. Well there you have it. Reserve a place in Canton for this kid.
  9. ummm, Barbarella...her "exposure" gets a 10 her acting was heinous. On Golden Pond she was on screen with Kathryn Hepburn and Henry Fonda, 2 greats, she couldn't have paled more in comparison...the little blond kid was far better Didn't see Klute or Barefoot in the Park, but her role in 9-5 was very narrowly fixed and very forgettable. Not a top 5, 10 or 20 in my humble opinion
  10. This is not politically motivated, but, Jane Fonda???? top 5 or 10??? you must be thinking of Bridget Fonda or Henry Fonda or Willy Wonka. This woman could not act the part of the dandelion in a kindergarten skit.
  11. Check the Sagarin strength of schedule web site, it's updated every week based on who you've played... It's a little misleading, but an interesting barometer to compare against higher ranked teams for pissing and moaning rights. World Champs are playing last 5 games against teams with a combined 16W-36L sched.
  12. Strength of Schedule is 8th toughest in the NFL up to last week i.e. Pats have an SoS of 21 where's the justice?
  13. First time I've agreed with you on anything. Raising Arizona and the Tom Cruise legal film.. O Brother Where Art Thou. Cohen brothers love her. Come to think of it Frances McDormand in Fargo is my favorite female character ever.
  14. Grew up in a small town on this lake. Got out as soon as my feet could touch the pedals.
  15. Martz will claim in the postgame interview that he called that timeout because "I just had a hunch we might fumble"
  16. If I did, I was drunk. Although they both do have 10 toes. Yeah, it was the pedal digit comparison, I'm sure of it.
  17. 2nd td takes me down to a 9 point lead. I'll be able to go to bed soon.
  18. In my FFL I got a 22 point lead going into tonight, all i got left is Wilkins the kicker, my opponent has Favre. Wilkins misses a 41 yarder, I could have used that.
