Well if baseball is'nt going to help, there is always college basketball. "Lost" will be back on again this week. Even though the Bills are not playing, it's always fun to watch the playoffs. Then you got the Super Bowl, if you don't care who is playing you can watch the funny commercials. There is always new DVD's coming out every week. You can start counting the days to free agency & the draft. You can look forward to the summer movies, which there will be lots of big ones.

Just some helpful ways to pass the time Steve.

    Thanks Mark!

I found out at XMas that both of my grandparents on my dad's side (88 and 86) watch and are hooked on LOST.

They also said Alias is a good show, and I should watch that... We'll see.

Alias is a good show, however I reccomend that you rent or Netflix the 1st 3 seasons on DVD, otherwise you will not have a full understanding of what is going on. If that's too much to do I understand, just some helpful advice. It is much better if you know the entire history of Alias before getting into it right now.

Also I find the summer movies are the best thing to get into and they make the offseason of football go by much faster, once you hit August it's already preseason.

  3. I have been on Lindell's case for most of the season, and I do hope that the Bills let him go. It's not only because of yesterday. For most of this season whenever Lindell came on to kick a FG, you just held your breath, because you were not sure if he was going to make it or miss it.

Someone on this post noted that Steve Christie would miss FG's too, but when it came down to crunch time and you needed a big kick, Christie would make the all-important FG's more than he would miss them.

That is what you do not get with Lindell. Forget the FG's, how about his kickoffs? How many touchbacks did he have this season?

I do not see Lindell as a solution. Let him go. I would be thrilled if the Bills used our 2nd round pick on Mike Nugent. I know we have other needs, but a new kicker would sure help.

  4. I am very proud of how the Bills were able to comeback this season.

This last game just really sucks.

I do think the future is bright though. The Bills will be an outstanding team next year. Look at how many players have stepped up on this team. Look at how many rookies and 2nd year players contributed to this team this year.

There is a real reason to be excited about being a Bills fan again.

    GO BILLS!!!!!

  5. Good point Bob. I think everyone is so excited about the playoff potential, that we are taking this game for granted. I think that is because it is extremely likely that a lot of the Steelers starters will not play in this game. We all know the Steelers are the top team in the AFC, but I am not that threatened when we know that Roethlisberger won't be playing, Bettis will see little if any playing time, and that Ward, Burress, and Randle-El will see little playing time. I can not see Cowher risking his players for that long in a game that has no emphasis on their playoff situation.

Having said all of this, I do believe even if the Steelers intentions were to play like this game meant everything to them, the Bills would still beat them.

I say that because the Bills attitude has changed tremendously. I saw it in Seattle & SF. Yes they have been beating weaker opponents, but they feel like they can beat anyone, no matter how good the other team is.

Even if the Bills do not make the playoffs, this team will be a major contender in 2005.

  6. For me, I gave up on the playoffs after the loss to the Patriots in Foxboro. It was a very embarrassing moment. I never gave up on the team, and kept on watching and cheering for them to do their best.

When I was in Seattle, Pinto Ron kept on telling me to stop talking like the season was over, that we would run the table. My feelings were hoping that the Bills would give the Cowboys the lowest draft pick possible. I never would have imagined a comeback like this though.

I firmly believe that the Bills will be in the playoffs after this weekend.

    GO BILLS!!!!!

Wasnt there a whole lot of teeth gnashing on draft day when Lee Evans' name was called?

Not from me. In fact I was one of the loudest Bills fans at the draft when Paul Tagliabue read off Lee Evans' name. I said on the board prior to draft day that my dream picks in the 04 Draft were, Lee Evans & Ben Troupe. I am very satisfied with Evans.

For those of you who wondered if this would be a "Trap Game", you know who you are, I am proud to say, "I TOLD YOU SO!". This was a great game to be at. There were hundreds of Bills fans at Candlestick/3com/Monster Park. We made our presence felt, and got payback from the last time we played in SF in 2001. Congratulations to Willis McGahee for breaking the 1000 yard mark. Congratulations to Lee Evans for breaking the Bills rookie WR TD mark. We beat a bad team, the way we should beat them, BADLY!

What a great day in general as well, QUOTH THE RAVENS NEVERMORE!!! The Jaguars getting shutout!!?? And once again the Jets can't step up in the big game.

Our tailgate was fantastic, many Bills fans from the west coast came out today and made their presence known. Now we leave it up to the fans in Buffalo to take over, and come out and show the Steelers what it's like in a hostile environment.

One more win, and a Jets or Broncos loss, and we are in.

Amazing that we have this opportunity, after what seemed like a lost season.

It is true, "NO ONE CIRCLES THE WAGONS, LIKE THE BUFFALO BILLS!"

    GO BILLS!!!!!

CBS had a great shot of a Bills fan in one of the endzones. He was wearing a Bledsoe jersey and had a winghead (I'm assuming that there weren't many wingheads). Did you tailgate with him?

Yes, we did. He was driving into the parking lot and saw all of us tailgating in one spot and joined us. There must have been about 40-50 Bills fans in our area.
