  1. WOW! Is she really this offensive? I have not heard her before, obviously I am a lucky one. It is amazing these days how certain people actually get careers like this with the "talent" they have. We could also say the same thing about Paris Hilton, who to me looks like she would have a difficult time reciting the alphabet, of course she just hasto rely on her looks.

I've always thought that Madonna was the most overrated, talentless, entertainer of all time. Obviously, i'm in the minority on that one.

I think they should have seperate categories for ownership and players. It's too hard for owners to compete.

yeah, especially against the likes of Micheal Irvin and all of his contributions to the sport ...

    Amen :lol::lol::w00t:

  3. I can not tell what ethnicity he is, but that does'nt concern me. No doubt the kid is a smart-ass and could care less about what he gets for this essay.

I am shocked that after all that he still got a D. Granted it was a D-, but if I had written something like that, I would have gotten an F or a Zero, been sent to the principal's office and maybe even suspended.

To me this says more about the teacher than the student.

  4. For those of you who watch both shows: I was re-watching last night's Alias with my sister and she caught this part that I had missed the first time around.

Early on in the episode when they are celebrating Weiss' birthday at Sidney's house, Jack comes to talk to Sidney. The scene takes place outside the house with Jack & Sidney talking. Then Sidney's sister Nadia opens the door to tell Sidney something. When she opens the door, if you listen to the music in the background, you hear the lyrics, "YOU ARE EVERYBODY!!, YOU ARE EVERYBODY!!". Which of course is a song by Charlie's band from Lost.

Clever nod there by J.J. Abrams. If any of you TIVO'd or tape recorded it, check it out. :)

In response to FEZMID, I did know that Sayid did have the maps, and that they were in French. So that blows my theory out of the water about Locke & Sayid.

Actually, I read part of the link that stevewin posted above, and someone had an explanation for having the maps - maybe the stuff he found was real (from previous people there or whatever), but that the woman (Danielle) was a figment of his imagination.

    CW

Hmmm, maybe my theory is not so far out there.

  6. In response to FEZMID, I did know that Sayid did have the maps, and that they were in French. So that blows my theory out of the water about Locke & Sayid.

Still we still don't know who knocked Sayid out, that episode. There are other things we still don't know:

When Jack found his dad's coffin it was empty, why?

    Why did Ethan abduct Claire?

What's the signifigance of Claire's dream when she see's Locke's eyes are the backgammon pieces?

What the hell is that creature on the island?

    God, I love this show.

Finally in regards to the kid seeing the polar bear in the comic book, and then the polar bear attacks the group. Is that scene sort of an homage to the movie "Forbidden Planet"? Could this be whats happening on the island? Are the survivors creating their own ID monsters?

    Just food for thought.

  7. Very good episode tonight, I was not surprised by the whole thing with Shannon & Boone, they had been fighting each other far too much for it to just be a brother sister thing.

I have a theory, although it does have holes in it, but I just wanted to run it past all of you, here goes:

This is regarding all the stuff that happened to Boone, when Locke explained to him that what he had seen was not real.

Several episodes earlier, Sayid was knocked out trying to catch the radio signal. We still do not know who knocked him out. My guess was Locke did it, now I am almost positive it was Locke who knocked Sayid out. Here's why.

When Locke was asked about Sayid being knocked out, he immediately put the suspicion on Sawyer, which is impossible since Sawyer lit the 3rd rocket.

Also Sayid has almost no memory of the French woman or what he heard in the jungle.

My theory is that Locke KO'd Sayid, put that stuff on Sayid's head, and Sayid imagined finding the French woman the whole time.

I know it is probably not the best theory, but I am highly suspicious that Locke had something to do with Sayid's situation.

Any thoughts from any of you?

  8. I was at the last San Diego game and stayed at the Holiday INN in Old Town, where they ran out of beer, and Steve Christie showed up. It was a great gathering of Bills fans for the Flutie-Johnson game. I have contacted Rose from the Portland group and they are already starting to make plans for this game. Of course this all depends on when the game is scheduled, but it should be a great time.

I see no problem utilizing Aiken as #3 and focussing our cap $ in other areas. Most of those guys listed are either a downgrade (Streets, Ward, Thrash) or potentially too expensive (Burress, TJ) for a team that already has Moulds and Evans.

What's about Josh Reed? I remember you liked him a lot...

I'd still like to see what he can do with JP before letting him go.

I still like Josh Reed, and I would still like to see him utilized as a slot receiver where he was at his best during his rookie season. I am skeptical about Aiken, he did nothing to impress me that much this year.

I mainly brought this list up to see if there are alternatives, if the Bills choose to not stay with Reed or Aiken.

  10. Seeing as how depth at WR is an issue with the Bills, here are some names of WR's who are unrestricted free agents. Could the Bills look this way for help?

I would love to have Houshmandzadeh on the team, does Takeo have any influence? Travis Taylor, Corey Bradford, and Tai Streets could be worth a look, and they may come at a bargain price. I did lobby for Streets last year and still think he can be a valuable receiver.

    Thoughts anyone?

    David Patten UFA Patriots

    Travis Taylor UFA Ravens

    T.J. Houshmandzadeh UFA Bengals

    Plaxico Burress UFA Steelers

    Corey Bradford UFA Texans

    Troy Walters UFA Colts

    Troy Edwards UFA Jaguars

    Tai Streets UFA Lions

    Dane Looker UFA Rams

    Joey Galloway UFA Buccaneers

    Bill Schroeder UFA Buccaneers

    Dedric Ward UFA Cowboys

    James Thrash UFA Redskins

  11. The 49'ers have so many needs that I would not be surprised if they traded down and stockpiled draft picks for the future.

    FTW_BillsFan Posted Today, 03:06 PM

If Leinert is not coming out, it is probably best for San Fran to trade down and try to gather more picks. They need alot of help almost everywhere.

Also, didn't they already sign Peterson to an extension?

They franchised Peterson and signed him for one year and that was it. They may just let him go, because of his injury, and that he wants Ray Lewis type money.

No matter what happens, it should be a split title. Auburn deserved to be in this game as much as these two did.

    They need a playoff system.

How about Utah? Wouldn't Utah vs. Auburn been a good game? College football is a joke in my opinion.

Valid point Promo. Why not Utah. They played great, and deserved a shot too.

Not with that cupcake schedule they played.

Cupcake? They played ranked opponents. LSU, Georgia, & Tennessee you consider to be cupcakes?

  14. Hey everyone, now that I am officially over last weekend's stomach churning, vomit inducing events, here is my opinion of what the Bills should do with the current players on the roster. Practice Squad not included.

    OFFENSE:

Quarterback: Drew Bledsoe, J.P.Losman, Shane Matthews.

Keep them all. No I am not a Bledsoe apologist, but he will still be with the team next year. Will he be the starter? I don't know, and won't know until training camp comes around. My gut feeling is he will be the starter in 05, many of you will be outraged about it, but we will have to take it. Unless Losman proves that he is absolutely ready to take command, Bledsoe will be the starter. As far as Shane Matthews goes, it might be a good idea to keep him around since he knows the playbook and is a veteran.

Running Back: Willis McGahee, Travis Henry, Joe Burns, Shaud Williams, Dante Brown

McGahee proved his value and may only get better. Henry wants out, and will get his wish. Let's hope we get a good pick for him. Burns was more effective on special teams, and may stay because of that. Williams was an even bigger surprise than McGahee, a good change of pace back, could be valuable to us. Brown never saw the field and will be promptly cut.

    Fullback: Daimon Shelton

The only true fullback we have on the team proved to be a very good asset on offense. As a blocker he started slowly in the season, but he was very effective as a receiver catching 17 passes. Not bad for a guy who was out of football last season. Definitely a keeper.

Center/Guard: Trey Teague, Ross Tucker, Chris Villarial, Mike Pucillo

Teague played better at Center this year, but this is an area where we can upgrade. Villarial was a very good pickup for us. Tucker is solid, but this may be another spot for us to upgrade. Pucillo should be thankful for still being with the team now, because his time is up. We need better depth if not better starters at these positions.

Tackle: Jonas Jennings, Mike Williams, Lawrence Smith, Marcus Price, Dylan McFarland, Jason Peters

Jennings is the big "?" here. I would keep him, but I do not want to break the bank on him. We also have to wonder if he really wants to stay here. If not we need to address this spot immediately. Williams is playing much better and seems to have legitimized the high pick we used on him. Price & Smith are solid backups, Smith even filled in at Guard a few times. McFarland & Peters are in the developing stages, although Peters has shown his worth on special teams as well.

Tight End: Mark Campbell, Tim Euhus, Ryan Neufeld, Bradford Banta, Rod Trafford

Campbell & Euhus were greatly missed when they were put on IR. Neufeld & Trafford are backups & Banta is a long snapper. Campbell & Euhus are good as the 1 & 2 TE's, let Neufeld & Trafford battle each other for the 3rd spot. I don't see this position as a place we have to upgrade.

Wide Receiver: Eric Moulds, Lee Evans, Josh Reed, Sam Aiken, Jonathan Smith

Moulds may need to take a paycut, but that is all. He is still the #1 WR and is still an important player for us. Evans exceeded expectations with his speed and big play ability, 9 TD's for a rookie? Oh that makes me feel good. Depth is the concern here. Reed has done nothing to change people's minds about being a receiving threat. I have lobbied for him, but I understand if the Bills choose to cut him. Aiken is another "?", he dropped as many passes as Reed, and did not show any field smarts against Pittsburgh in the Bills last possesion in the first half when he chose to stay in bounds to get more yards, instead of going out of bounds to stop the clock. Jonathan Smith showed some potential as a punt returner and special teamer, as a receiver he got very little playing time. Drafting for depth here may be the best way to go, unless there is a good free agent we can pickup somewhere.

    DEFENSE:

Tackle: Sam Adams, Pat Williams, Ron Edwards, Justin Bannan, Tim Anderson

Adams & Williams were a fantastic tandem in the middle, Which is why re-signing Williams is a must. Edwards was a great contributor and could be called on to start. Anderson is developing which makes Bannan the odd man out. Unless that idea of switching Bannan to OG comes through. Drafting for depth here is the way to go.

End: Aaron Schobel, Chris Kelsay, Ryan Denney, Constantin Ritzmann

Our great white ends look good. Schobel earned the contract extension he recieved, while Kelsay is getting better & better. Denney has improved, but is primarily a backup. Ritzmann never really got any time in due to injury, but could be a diamond in the rough, as he displayed in the preseason. Competition for depth would be good.

Linebacker: London Fletcher, Takeo Spikes, Jeff Posey, Mario Haggan, Angelo Crowell, Josh Stamer

From top to bottom, this might be our most complete unit. Spikes & Fletcher are studs at their positions. Posey gets little credit, but is an effective player. Crowell, Haggan, and Stamer are great backups and excellent special teamers. Training camp fodder need only apply.

Cornerback: Nate Clements, Terrence McGee, Kevin Thomas, Jabari Greer

You could have made a case for Clements to go to the Pro Bowl, but all in due time. It would be wise to lock up Clements for a long time before his contract is up at the end of next season. McGee finally got his big chance, when Troy Vincent was injured early in the year, and finally got a chance to start. While he did struggle early on, he picked up the game and has proven that he can be a starter in this game. His kick returning skills are without question. Thomas is still a big contributor as a nickel back, and is great depth. Greer took some rookie lumps and is still a developing project, but should stick around.

Safety: Lawyer Milloy, Troy Vincent, Rashad Baker, Coy Wire, Pierson Prioleau, Izell Reese

Milloy had an outstanding year, and moving Vincent to free safety was a wise move. Baker got thrown to the wolves and paid the price early on, but did settle in and became a starter a few games, and seems to have future with the team. Wire & Prioleau excelled on special teams mostly, but were also effective on the safety blitz. Reese has almost become a non-factor and should be cut. The coaches have some decisions to make here concerning depth.

    Special Teams:

    P: Brian Moorman

Thank God we have him for 6 more years. Eventual pro bowler.

    K: Rian Lindell

Had a good year inside the 40 yd line, but beyond that he was terrible. The Bills need a new kicker. In spite of the Steelers game, Lindell has been a "?" all year. His kickoffs are unimpressive, and whenever he comes on for a FG, no matter how long or short it is, you just hold your breath. Draft Mike Nugent.

That is it from me. Let's see what the offseason shall bring us. I do like our chances next year. Mike Mularkey has made me a "Billiever."

    GO BILLS!!!!!
