  1. A new month is upon us, which means a whole new set of movies to see. With only 6 weeks to go until Star Wars Episode III and the summer movie season begins, here is what we have to look forward too in April:

    4/1

    Sin City: http://www.sincitythemovie.com/

    4/8

    Fever Pitch: http://www.feverpitchmovie.com/

    Sahara: http://movies.yahoo.com/shop?d=hv&id=1808405736&cf=trailer

    4/15

    The Amityville Horror: http://movies.yahoo.com/shop?d=hv&id=1808594450&cf=trailer

    4/22

    The Interpreter: http://www.theinterpretermovie.com/

    King's Ransom: http://www.kingsransommovie.com/

    4/29

The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy: http://hitchhikers.movies.go.com/index.html

    XXX:State of the Union: http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/triplex2/

There you have it. ajzepp, feel free to add any indies of interest.

As for me after Sin City, I have to say that I'm looking forward to Hitchhiker's Guide the most. See you all at the movies.

  2. There are many places I would like to attend a game at. Most of them college, as Cajun Bills Backer listed. I don't know all the stadium names but this is who I would love to see:

    Michigan. My team, GO BLUE!!!!!

    Louisiana State

    Notre Dame

    Tennessee

    Georgia

    Alabama

    Penn State

    Ohio State

    Clemson

    Florida

    Miami, Fla

    Auburn

    Colorado

    Texas

    Texas A&M

    Oklahoma

    Nebraska

    Air Force

I'm serious about all these places. I'd also want to see an Ivy League game, a big Division I-AA game, maybe North Dakota vs. North Dakota State, the Rose Bowl game, and the Army-Navy Game. The ending of the Army-Navy game with the two teams on the field singing the alma matter's, always gets to me.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Churchill Downs, Pimlico Racetrack, and Belmont Park for the Triple Crown races. I would go to those.

Even the Westminster Dog Show at MSG would be fun. Hey it's the oldest sporting event in this country.

There are the obvious baseball venues I would like to see.

There are many NFL stadiums I want to go to. I have yet to go to the Ralph for a game. For that matter I have yet to visit the city of Buffalo. <_< One of these days though.

Unless you live or have lived in the south, you really have no idea how bizzare it can get.

A prime example is North Carolina. No state lottery. Schools massively underfunded. Recently our Governor, Mike Easley, was out trying to drum up support for a State Lotto. While visiting a church a member of the congregation approached the governor stating he and the rest of the church felt that gambling was a sin and would never vote for or take part in the devils work.

The really funny part of the story, he was trying to sell the governor a raffle ticket at the time.

The problem out here in California, a state with a state lotto, is that all the money that goes to the schools is wasted on special interests. Money is not what solves problems for the schools. It's the lack of discipline.

  4. I love Italian food.

Lasagna is my favorite dish. I have a great recipe for it. Trust me, lasagna is a lot better without the ricotta cheese.

I never get sick of pizza.

Spaghetti with meatballs AND italian sausage!!! YUM YUM!!!

My favorite steak is filet mignon, although I have tried chateubriand, and that's awesome too. Throw in some garlic mashed potatos, some string beans & carrots, and you really got something there.

I love the food at Benihana's. It's all good, but the fried rice is fantastic.

Favorite desserts: Lemon Meringue Pie from Marie Calendar's.

Chocolate Chip Cheesecake, although i'm not that picky when it comes to cheesecake.

Rice Pudding. It sounds simple, but it's hard to find at restaurants.

Fried bananas. MMMMMM delicious, especially with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

If I think of more, i'll post accordingly.

And just how is it that the pathetic 5-11 Raider franchise gains the priviledge of a Monday Night game? ABC apparently learned nothing from their ratings disaster of last season that offered two Fish and three Cowboy appearances.

Because, unfortunately, the Raiders are one of the most popular teams in the NFL, even when they suck. Never mind that they can not sell out a home game without ABC or ESPN helping out with buyng up the remainder of their tix, so they will be on TV. While adding Moss will help the offense a lot, the Raiders traded away their best defensive player in Napolean Harris, to get him. Throw in the fact that that they cut Ray Buchanan, have a disgruntled Charles Woodson, and 2 over-the-hill DT's in Sapp & Washington, the Raiders D is just not that imposing.

      Just a random question:

Is there a reason why they will announce just a couple of games now and then the entire schedule a couple of weeks later? I imagine the schedule is done if they annouce a couple of games, why not just announce the whole thing??

Because it would make too much sense. We can't have that in sports.

And Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous, is out on Thursday.

That's the one I want to see. I watched the first one about 10 times!

10 times!!!??? Well cablelady you will have the whole theatre to yourself when # 2 comes out.

  8. A great place for breakfast is the Grand Lux Cafe in The Venetian.

A great place for dinner is the Palm Restaurant at Caesar's Palace. Although technically it's in the Forum shopping center.

If you go to any shows while you are there, I highly recommend seeing one of the Cirque du Soleil shows they have. There are 4 of them right now: "Mystere" at Treasure Island, "KA" at MGM Grand, "O" at Bellagio, & "Zumanity" at New York New York.

"O" is the most difficult one to get tickets too, but it is an amazing show. But you can not miss with either of these. "Zumanity" is for adults only.

  9. I have'nt seen The Ring 2, although I want too. As far as worst sequel goes, we recently had "Son of the Mask" out.

And Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous, is out on Thursday. Those two films might give Ring 2 a break.

  10. I was wondering that too. I'm surprised no one on this board has the info on this girl.

Look how fast they got the Go Daddy girl, the Tabasco girl, and the Hardee's girl up here after the Super Bowl.

I also like the Burger King commercial for the Bacon Cheddar Ranch. Using a Texas theme, looks like a stage from "Hee-Haw", throwing in the Cowboys cheerleaders and Shania Twain is a nice touch too.

  11. Here is the latest schedule for Lost, new episode titles and dates:

    March 30: Deux Ex Machina

    April 6: Do No Harm

    April 20: The Greater Good

    April 27: Born To Run

That brings the 1st season of Lost to a total of 22 episodes. Which is usually how many a show makes in 1 season.

  12. My standings as of now:

1.Anwar. Had an off night but still the favorite to win it all.

    2.Nadia. Very strong performance.

3.Bo. Has been outstanding week after week.

4.Carrie. Another strong performance, staying consistent.

5.Scott. He deserves to go far in this competition.

6.Constantine. Solid performer, took a chance, and it paid off.

7.Anthony. Took a step back, but will still be a strong competitor.

8.Vonzell. Up and down performer, showed very well last night.

9.Mikalah. Sang a song best suited for her, but can she keep it going?

10.Jessica. Slowly getting better, but the competition is too strong.

11.Nikko. Came back and was not that good. Pick better songs.

Did Ozzie Smith pay off Mario to leave?

  13. How about Joey Galloway? Went from Seattle to Dallas, that move never paid off. Or was that a trade too?

As far as the Bills go, they have been very successful with free agency. The only player I can think of that did not work out for the Bills was Joe Panos.

But look at the players the Bills got via free agency: Chris Spielman, Bryce Paup, Ted Washington, Bill Brooks, Quinn Early, London Fletcher, Takeo Spikes, Lawyer Milloy, Troy Vincent, Sam Adams. The positives clearly outweigh the negatives.
