But LA has no NFL team. At least not yet!
But they are the home of NFL Network.
-
assuming LA would be your choice since you always go?
Yes, it would be. I can drive down there, and find a decent enough place to stay.
But if it's in Chicago, I'll try and go there too.
I'm just bummed at the thought of all my friends who may not go.
-
No surprise.
"We had 12 cities that were interested," Goodell went on. "We felt the best thing to do was to focus on the three cities, because they had such a tremendous interest. There are very attractive aspects to each of those cities. Because we don't have the appropriate dates in May our focus is completely on Los Angeles and Chicago.
And the fact that they are the # 2 & # 3 markets in the country, had little to do with the decision.

If there is a battle, it is between Hogan, Easley, Graham and Elliott. I don't think Easley has anything to worry about. As I posted earlier, Easley led the league in special teams tackles last season. Very tough to replace that level of contribution on ST.
JMO
Yep, Easley has proven himself on ST. After him, take your pick. I don't see how Graham can make it.

You have aaron Rodgers. Your road to the Super Bowl is infinitely easier than ours.
Gotta agree with that.

From what I've read Thor does not turn into a woman, but rather is deemed unworthy of handling his hammer and another Marvel superhero who happens to be female is considered worthy to handle Mjölnir. Not a crazy notion, marvel lacks a real female superhero...sorry but storm (who can also handle lightning) black widow and even Electra the only female marvel character with their own movie, can not compete with its top stars. Though Jean Grey should have had her own origin.
I've never been a comic book reader, but I have friends who are, and even though Marvel is trying to get a movie franchise going for some of their female superheros, my friends say that is going to be tough to do because the Marvel female superheroes are not all that interesting.
They do tell me that the DC female superheroes are far more complex and interesting.

Such shame. They'd be quite beautiful if not for the skanky meth'd out whore thing.
Very sad, indeed.

Good for Kevin. Being away from home can make it difficult to sleep; I'm glad he is getting his rest.
How can you forget Kamil Loud and Kwame Cavil?
And Reggie Germany.

You really should send this letter in to the folks up in Toronto trying to steal our team. Or at least try to get it published in the opinion section of a news paper up there. Let people know there are good people, Bills fans, in Canada, that don't want the team to leave.
Now your talking.

Whatever the situation is, we all wish Cordy Glenn a speedy recovery.
Likewise to Alan Branch. We're going to need both of these guys.

that's true, but its still football!!
That it is.

It's a serious of 4 maybe 5 pictures the far left is his face and the fist right is a lion... The middle two are combinations of the two... He says:

Geesh, weed, and I get an A and an O, I would do it.
The teachers have turned into drug dealers now, great.

This, Gaza, Afghanistan/Iraq, Mexico/Central America, Africa... etc...
So many innocent lives falling victim to needless violence... it's really disheartening.
How much longer until WWIII?

You want to win the Super Bowl? You have to earn it.

...was a RB, but yes, your point is taken.
Can't mention him without also mentioning Dwayne Wright. Sadly, neither of them ever lived up to the standards set by standouts like Shaud Williams or Anthony Thomas.
Not sure if you are being sarcastic, but Anthony Thomas was a good RB for us.

I'm all for keeping both Hogan AND Elliot, and letting the likes of TJ Graham go the way of waivers....
If you keep Hogan & Elliot, you would have to get rid of more than Graham.

They had a 1-and-1 set up and played at Baylor last season.
Also UB basketball plays at Kentucky and Wisconsin this year. Two Final Four teams.
Wow, that'll get the university some money.
I just read that it'll be Michigan Vs. Syracuse in the ACC/Big 10 Challenge.

That was definitely my take on the situation. He was ready to off himself until he heard Cheng's men. I'd love to see the body count from that scene alone. He had to have taken out at least 25 guys on that boat.
He did take out a lot.
Personally, I think nothing will ever top what Jack did in "Day 6". When he was in that warehouse facility by himself and he took out every single armed man and then killed the leader by having him hung with that machine. After it was over, Mike Doyle(Ricky Schroeder) runs in to see the carnage and finds Jack sitting at the table and all he can say is, "Damn, Jack!"

Mark please take another look. I respect your opinion for sure , but I am a fan of Searcy and in Jims system i expect him to start but play that hybrid nickel line backer more often than not.
Now the year before i thought him less of him. I thought he was finding his way last year. 3rd year isnt it ? .
I think he has a solid spot .
Good points about the Robey vs Graham thing.
I might guess its more of matchup issue .
Again i think both these fellows are more an asset and tool to be used , than direct competition with each other. Same with Da'Norris . And then Spikes too . Very good at what they each bring.
I am on my second kool aid, Mark
Obviously .
I think the bases are well covered and Searcy is key element going forward.
Let me say this though . If they think Duke Williams is a 4 down guy i have no issue naming him starter.
I'm not trying to knock Searcy, I just think that he is not a starter in this league. I agree that he did make some plays last season, but I think that he is more of a liability in coverage.
I am hoping that Duke Williams can step up this season and have a real impact. I think he has good potential.
I'm willing to give Searcy a chance, and I hope he can excel as a starter, but I would not be surprised if he squanders the opportunity.

Mr Vader , i am impressed with your work. To nitpick would be just that.
Good effort and well done.
sorry late for the note Sir. I read it at work during my lunch .
And thanks
Thanks a lot.

What a show, and what a revival. "24" has never shied away from having non-bright skies endings.
President Heller's conversation with Prime Minister Davies was heartbreaking.
Chloe is safe, Kate is going rogue, Mark Boudreau will be in prison forever & Cheng is dead.
Now how will Jack get out of Russia?
Question for all of you. When Jack found out that Audrey had been killed (perfect timing Kate), was Jack about to kill himself? The way he was holding his sidearm and the look on his face, he looked like he wanted to end it all. Did any of you think the same thing?

is it my imagination, or is Hollywood getting marginally better? Ive been pretty much anti-hollywood for years due to the typical "shoot em up, canned script, forced happy ending" take no risk formula that predominates. But the last few Ive seen Ive been pleasantly surprised.
I've always been of the mind that Hollywood has been fine all along. Yes there is a lot of crap out there, but there is also good stuff as well.
Let's face it there are lots more movies being made these days than ever before, and the bad ones are always going to outweigh the good ones.
Some people believe that the only good movies you are going to get are the independent films, but I disagree.
Look at this year so far: "Captain America: The Winter Soldier", "Godzilla", "X-Men: Days of Future Past", & "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes", all got considerably high marks from both critics and audiences alike.
I think that what you are seeing is that studios are getting great talent to be a part of these movies. From writers to directors to actors, etc.
I hope that this trend continues. Personally I am very encouraged at what the future of the Star Wars franchise holds. The directors that are being chosen are all quality choices.
It's also a state of mind that a moviegoer has to be in, in order to like a movie. If you go in with an attitude, then you are probably not going to like it. We have to remember that this is entertainment, if you want the meaning of life, then go take classes on the subject at a university.
There is good stuff to see from Hollywood, you just have to find it.
