As far as SS goes, we know very little about D Williams & Meeks, and Searcy will really have to step up his game if he's going to be a starter. Duke Williams, I believe, has the most potential, but he's only in his second year. Can we expect him to be the starter this year? Searcy make me nervous, and I see him as a back-up only.
With regards to DE, I think this is a need area. We could really use more young blood on the D-Line. Kyle is over 30, and Mario & Branch are almost 30. That leaves us with Dareus as our only young starter. I see players like Stefan Charles & Corbin Bryant as back-ups. If the Bills are able to re-sign Carrington, that would be of help. But as of now we don't know if the Bills will bring back Carrington or not. One DE I really like in this draft is Stephon Tuitt from Notre Dame. If he is available when the Bills pick at 41, I would take him.
So to answer the poster's original question: I say DE needs to be addressed more than SS.

This, alone, scares the s#!+ outta me, frankly..
I understand, but we all know that E.J. Manuel is the key to next season.
It's a great morning!
Indeed it is.
Does this mean that the Bills are finished with free agency? We've added 5 new players to the team, so I wonder if they have enough cap room left to sign another player or two.

I just read that Spikes has missed 12 tackles in 4 years. For context, Kiko missed 10 tackes in his first year.
Source: Rob Quinn on Twitter.
That's still very impressive for a guy best suited for OLB who was playing an entire season at MLB.

I BILLieve it's time for the Bills Nation to pray for Jim Kelley's recovery and for the team of Physicians who will treat him. I understand this request may be too personal, however I BILLieve in the power of prayer and I BILLieve in our fan base.
God Speed Jimbo you are in my thoughts and prayers for a healthy recovery!

Parker holding court again.
Does that mean Carrington is on his way to New Orleans?

Sorry for being so late with this. The Oscars have been handed out and before the tentpole titles of summer hit us, the Spring Season of movies has arrived. Bigger fare and budgets arrive adding new excitement to the cinemas. As is usual there is a lot of diversity this month for fans of various subjects. One movie in particular is looking to become the next big book-turned-into-movie franchise.
Summit Entertainment brings us "Divergent". In a world divided by factions based on virtues, Tris learns she's Divergent and won't fit in. When she discovers a plot to destroy Divergents, Tris and the mysterious Four must find out what makes Divergents dangerous before it's too late. Summit has been pushing this movie hard, in hopes for "Hunger Games" like box office numbers. If this story can reach more than the loyal readers of the books, then that could happen. Starring Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Ray Stevenson, Ashley Judd, Tony Goldwyn, Maggie Q & Kate Winslet.
Russell Crowe is "Noah". Inspired by the Biblical story, a man suffering visions of an apocalyptic deluge takes measures to protect his family from a coming flood. Paramount Pictures is not holding back on the effects, the cast, and it's vision, which they have entrusted to director Darren Aronofsky. Also starring Jennifer Connelly, Anthony Hopkins, Emma Watson, Logan Lerman & Ray Winstone.
Disney brings back our Muppet friends with "Muppets Most Wanted". While on a grand world tour, The Muppets find themselves wrapped into an European jewel-heist caper headed by a Kermit the Frog look-alike and his dastardly sidekick. Starring Tina Fey, Ricky Gervais, Ty Burrell & a long list of cameos from various actors that is too long to list.
Warner Bros. releases the prequel/sequel "300: Rise of an Empire". Greek general Themistokles leads the charge against invading Persian forces led by mortal-turned-god Xerxes and Artemisia, vengeful commander of the Persian navy. Starring Sullivan Stapleton, Eva Green & Lena Headey.
Dreamworks presents "Mr. Peabody & Sherman". The time-travelling adventures of an advanced canine and his adopted son, as they endeavor to fix a time rift they created. Starring the voices of Ty Burrell & Max Charles.
Aaron Paul stars in "Need For Speed". Fresh from prison, a street racer who was framed by a wealthy business associate joins a cross country race with revenge in mind. His ex-partner, learning of the plan, places a massive bounty on his head as the race begins. Also starring Dominic Cooper, Scott Mescudi & Imogen Poots.
Arnold Schwarzenegger stars in "Sabotage". Members of an elite DEA task force find themselves being taken down one by one after they rob a drug cartel safe house. Also starring Sam Worthington, Terrence Howard & Olivia Williams.
Jason Bateman stars and directs "Bad Words". A spelling bee loser sets out to exact revenge by finding a loophole and attempting to win as an adult. Also starring Kathryn Hahn, Allison Janney & Rohan Chand.
Finally, in "The Single Mom's Club", Brought together by an incident at their children's school, a group of single mothers from different walks of life bond, and create a support group that helps them find comedy in the obstacles of life. Starring Nia Long, Amy Smart & Wendi McLendon-Covey.

Looks like the Raiders are doing the same thing as the Browns. Signing players at positions that make them older.
-
Anyone notice the Seahawks players are leaving in droves? Maybe it just seems that way.
I have noticed that, but that doesn't mean the Seahawks can not get replacements.
-
I would like the signing if it happens. We need a bigger back on this team
Id like the signing, we need a bigger back on this team
We're gonna need a bigger back.
-
I thought Pettigrew was a good target for buf...
Not anymore, now that they have re-signed Chandler.
-
All you Eric Ebron fans can close the door on that idea. Looks like either WR or OT in the first round.
Good. if the Bills really want to draft a Tight End, they can get one in the later rounds. We have more dire needs.
-
Good. We still have some uncertainty at this position, with both Moeaki & Gragg.
Even if the Bills draft a Tight End, it's good to know that we have Chandler as an experienced and productive veteran on the team.
-
He can be our new Tashard Choice
Sounds good to me.
-
Raiders begin reconstructing their defense by signing Justin Tuck http://www.nfl.com/n...er_atl …
Replacement for Houston.
-
His shoulder's bad, isn't it?
-
If that's how it plays out, I would trade down. I like Lewan, but not at 9.
I am not as big on Evans as others are, I'd rather have Benjamin.

Terms of Darrelle Revis deal with @patriots (via @AlbertBreer): http://on.nfl.com/1getKNZ
Caldwell is intent on the Jags being very much improved:
Jaguars agree to terms with DE Chris Clemons, DE Ziggy Hood http://cbsprt.co/1iFu9AX

Gee, say what you want about the Broncos this offseason, but the Jaguars are doing a fine job this free agency period.

Report: Carrington to visit Steelers http://wp.me/plmrg-9Os
Is this the first team he's meeting with or did he already meet with the Rams?
before NE tries to grab him?
and WRT *
What will Mr Island do now that his HC is a no muss no fuss kinda guy?
More likely Revis will do what he's told to do. He only signed for one year, so he can misbehave when he goes to another team next year.

It’s the #Eagles for Darren Sproles
Eagles trade for Sproles will be announced later today. Smart of the Saints to wait for trade. There was always ample interest ...
The Ravens will be in pursuit of Steve Smith quickly when he's released by the Panthers. Deal could materialize fast.
Per league source, Saints get fifth-round pick for Darren Sproles from Eagles.
I wonder how much cap room this saves the Saints.
Darren Sproles in the same backfield as LeSean McCoy? I'm sure PhilaDehlia is thrilled with this.

If you look up the stats on Tate you'd be surprised to know that he drops very few passes. That's exactly why I said he has "great" hands.
I stand corrected. Yet I still think that is an awfully huge contract for Tate.
-
Sign him.
-
BTW, what did everyone think of Jerry Hughes last year?
Everyone dissed him as a former first rounder that would not contribute.
The way I remember it, most people here were fine with the trade because they were glad to be rid of Kelvin Sheppard.
Who will be this years surprise cut ?
