  1. I don't see it. TD is a loudmouth, if it was done or close he wouldn't be able to keep it to himself.
  2. I think you hit the nail on the head here. I think with JP's ability to scramble we should be OK. I am not sold on Shelton. The guy has pretty much been a bust. McNally is a great coach, but you can only coach so much.
  3. I find it curious that everyone assumes that Eli will be sucessful, mostly from his last name. His father played in no playoff games in his NFL career. Peyton hasn't been to a super bowl. And Eli seems to be a dumber version of his brother with a slower release. I am also not sold on Rivers.
  4. I am pretty intrigued by Tim Anderson. I think he's a player.
  5. While I agree that Bledsoe is a marginal HOF'er, Bill Burt is a hack columnist/editor at a backwater paper who is most known around here for getting hammered at the Super Bowl and heckling Bledsoe in a hotel lobby. Nice guy. Also, he held counseling sessions at his church after Game 7 of the 2003 ALCS. He's a buffoon. Also, he once wrote an article, referencing Jerome Bettis on with Letterman. The problem: it was a year old re-run.
  6. As a lifelong Bills fan, and having lived in the Boston Area since Drew's entrance to the NFL the most important thing that the Bills did so far was getting rid of Drew. Will JP be this year's Big Ben? Who knows. But, I am pretty sure he has a shot as this offense is going to look to run 1st, and expect control from the QB not highlight reel passes. If he doesn't turn the ball over, the Bills will win. That said, I wish we had done something at left tackle. If Price doesn't come back, the next guy from last year's depth chart is Jason Peters.
  7. I wouldn't go near him with a 10 foot pole. Now Hines Ward..... I think TD was shitcanned by the time Plaxico was drafted.
  8. No thanks....wasn't able to make it as SD's 3rd reciever.
  9. This is a smart move by the kid. Take the high road, especially since Drew had a little slam for him on the way out the door.
  10. Seriously, they save themselves a Million and a half bucks move Vincent to safety and go and get a decent, younger backup corner. Posey doesn't make a lot of sense, as you don't save yourself $. If you look at it from a money perspective Sam Adams could be a potential cut, but I don't see that happening. Cutting Fletcher would save a couple million, but I don't see a good replacement out there.
  11. I have lived in Boston since Bledsoe's rookie year and until I got DirectTV a couple years ago watched the Pats consistently for my NFL fix. Drew was never mobile. He had happy feet, but that's not mobility. That's Jaworkski syndrome.
  12. He's more like Favre than Brady, play wise. He does have the Brady-like work ethic, which should allow him to maximize his physical skills. This is something Drew never did.
  13. King is a blatant ball washer. He's been carrying several players water for years (see Favre, Brett). He was on in Boston this week lamenting Harry Carson not making the HOF, and then trying to spin his ri-goddamn-diculous stance on Monk. I am no fan of the Skins, but Monk belongs in the HOF.
  14. If I ever see Todd Collins (he's from a nearby town), he's got a swift kick in the balls coming.
  15. He can't kick off anymore. Bills coverage unit is good, but not that good.
  16. It's supposed to be a done deal, but they haven't made the announcement. Belichick is supposed to play in the Pebble Beach pro-am this week, so it might not be announced to next week. By the way, Scarnechia has been with the Pats for 20 years and has coached virtually every position on both sides of the ball through 7 head coaches, and like 14 OCs. He'll do OK. It's not like the Pats offense is so complicated that it requires a PhD to lay it out. Pretty straightforward, actually.
  17. I watched that game. He was pretty awesome, although he played against a bunch of second stringers for a while there. He only had a week's worth of practice between his holdout and that game, I think.
  18. Bledsoe's hit is like 4 million against a cap of $85 million. Not minimal, but certainly not insurmountable especially if Moulds re-structures. Plus, the Bills have 9 million in cap room, and no 1st round pick (which can eat up cap room quick).
  19. Didn't Saban already say they aren't taking a QB at #2? That whole mock seems messed up. Carolina needs a 1st round RB like it needs a hole in the head.
  20. I was thinking about resigning our couple of free agents, gaining some youth in the defensive line and linebacking corps...but whatever works.
  21. I am with you. Plus it makes lousy financial sense. You take a 4 million dollar cap hit, to pay another million or so for a veteran....basically equal $ as just making DB your backup. It's a zero sum gain.
  22. See, I hear people compare the NHL & NBA and in my mind they are light years apart. The NBA has issues, but in towns with good franchises there is still interest. The NHL is as irrelevant as the push-button transmission.
  23. Honestly, I think this team has far larger issues that who the Strength & Conditioning coach is.
