  1. I think receiver from the backfield is a big thing they were looking for. I think Brady's offense is going to be that every skill position on the field is going to be a potential target for Josh to spread the ball around vs just WRs (also I think why they don't seem to be as worried about the "true #1 WR" as much since everyone will be an option in some different way)
  2. My brother played in college and after and he always said the worst part was when some football player would come out and not know the game and blindside you with a block 😛
  3. Thanks for including some perspective. I'm not sure I would call it political per se, but with all the international promotion the league was/is doing they definitely wanted teams to take these guys - even if it was mostly a PR thing. On NFLN at the end of the draft where they are basically ignoring all the last picks they actually showed the pick on the stage like it was some big deal. The incentive to a team I guess is that you can carry them on an extra PS spot - I'm actually surprised there isn't more incentive given. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the league tries to grow this over time into trying to make more international players available (and possibly give more incentives to teams to pick one). Regardless of whether any have any shot at all of actually every playing, the league seems so determined to promote this international thing I could see it increasing.
  4. My favorite part is where he asks the reporter where do you think I got it and the reporter says "Tom Izzo?" - the initial incredulousness on his face is gold - then he doubles down after "Nah. Macy's" - "What do you mean?"
  5. It's like difference between Josh channeling Mose Schrute in his 40 at the combine vs what he actually does on the football field
  6. NFL humping the International angle so much they should throw in a comp pick too
  7. This whole idea (if people are being serious) of drafting a player you don't want IN THE FIRST ROUND so that another team doesn't get him is literally the stupidest thing I have ever read on here - and that's saying a lot
  8. How did Miami's track team do in cold weather end of season and in the playoffs last year
  9. Nice little feature - gotta root for the young man
  10. Funny - someone above this mentioned Travis Henry, then I read this and in my mind saw "has 15 children" 😛
  11. NFL shoving the international game down our throats more than girls flag football
  12. This is why we aren't seeing a trade up for some 5ths - it not only takes two to tango - but they also have to like what you got to dance with you
  13. Wow that was moving - wasn't expecting it to get dusty in here
  14. You seem to have gotten more Logical as the day progressed 😛
  15. NFL shoving girls flag football down our throat almost as much as ESPN shoves women's basketball 😛
  16. I was thinking that - Mel mentioned he can play anywhere including nickel
  17. This is the thing for me - the ANGER over picking someone who has never played a down. Why not just at least let the kid show up and go through a camp and see what kind of player he can be. These always give me flashbacks to the Josh Allen draft thread - all the ridiculous angry a-hole takes. My god - how about let the kid at least show up and show what he can do.
  18. It's the one thing you see constantly watching other teams - receivers that make tough/contested catches regularly and then thinking "when was the last time a Bills receiver made a catch like that"
  19. I'm assuming from your screen name you're an FSU fan and watch their games. I posted early in this thread - my brother's a (long time) FSU alum and watches all their games. He said Coleman is the best FSU receiver he's ever seen at the school, and "if he stays healthy he'll be a force"
  20. Usually when a team grabs a guy even though it seems to the guy on the street "he would have been there much later", they know someone else has their eye on him
  21. FWIW my brother's an FSU alum has followed the team closely 35 yrs - said he's the best FSU receiver he's ever seen while at school - "if he stays healthy he'll be a force"
  22. Do we have to do this - honestly wtf
  23. I don't get people being mad that we traded with KC and "gave them" the receiver they wanted. KC was going to get the receiver anyway, and we didn't want him - so we traded back and got the compensation that matches the move according to the draft trade formulas. Did people want us to draft a player we didn't want just to spite KC? And people saying we should have gotten more for the trade just aren't being realistic. If they asked for more than the trade was valued at the trade wouldn't have happened People can be mad if they wanted Worthy and the Bills didn't draft him, but being mad they "gave" a player to KC doesn't make sense. KC literally paid a price for it
  24. Beane pulls out one of his 6ths to make it happen!
  25. Now for the next 20 yrs bills fans will be complaining about the player that kc took after we traded down with them in the first
