  1. I have a Clearsteam 4 antenna, output to a pre-amp then split the single using an amplified splitter about 5 ways to five different TV's in my house including a TIVO OTA DVR.  That is how I watch most of my TV via the TIVO DVR and other than on rare occasions when very windy everything works fine.  I also have YTTV mainly because I have two houses and 2nd house doesn't have good reception with an antenna so there YTTV is my primary mode of watching. But when home in primary location also use YTTV for non over the air stuff like ESPN, TNT, etc.  YTTV allows me to access in two locations so cheaper than any other alternatives other than Sling

I will say I'm am planning on trying again in 2nd house with antenna in different spot.  If I could get that to work consistently, ,may buy another TIVO and go with that in both locations and dump YTTV also and go with Sling to save some money.

I’m hoping for it.  It makes you wonder who gets released…

They aren’t cutting Ty Johnson.  The Bills like what he brings on special teams and in the offense.  Also, he’s one of the few players on the team that can be trusted fielding kickoffs

I meant the D lineman, isn't his name Kingsley Johnson??  Ok just looked it up, it's Jonathan

Considering the Broncos are very much alive have a pulse for the playoffs they are basically making the decision to move from Wilson now.

Regardless I actually though he had a solid bounce back type of year and can't blame him for losing to the Patriots.

Fixed it for you.  Just went thru the NY Times playoff simulator.  Best I could get were there chance up to 11%  thru this weekend and that was with some unlikely outcomes this week.  I get it, anything can happen, but is unlikely they get in.  They also are playing a 4:25 game so could wait to see outcome of earlier games and make a last minute call.

I’m 100% on board with drafting a high WR. I just listed Evans because he’s the best FA WR available.

I have watched Josh Allen(DE) play for years now, and he has always impressed be, as a rusher and as a run defender. Having him on the field as a Miller contingency plan is better than having Floyd.

    For me it’s Allen > Floyd/AJ.

Don't disagree if money was not an issue. If you could get rid of Millers contract, then great.

With the Bills being over the cap this offseason, we are definitely going to have a hard time retaining the talent we already have. It would be nice to somehow find a way to keep Floyd, but I’m not sure we will be able to. With that said, if we could only sign 1 top FA , who would you want?

I would want either  Josh Allen, DE  or  Mike Evans, WR .

Who would you rather sign, Floyd or Allen?  Or who else would you target/sacrifice?

Josh Allen, Rousseau, and Miller would be a nice group heading into next season.

Neither.  Because of cap reasons I'd rather draft a rookie WR high, 1st or 2nd round.   For DE already have too much money tied up there unless Miller gets suspended and Bills can void contract.  Think I'd rather try and resign Floyd unless he wants more money than Allen.  May be able to sign  Floyd and AJ for less than Allen would get.

    - In 2014, we were 8-6 and fighting for our playoff life when we flew to the Oakland, confident in a victory. Oakland also had an interim coach. We lost to that 2-12 Raider team. This time, we won and we should all be celebrating (bUt It WaS lUcKy 🙄).

    - Saw this from OptaSTATS: “There have been 130 instances in NFL history of a team having 5 or more 20-point wins in a season. There have been 69 instances of a team having 10 or more games decided by 6 points or fewer. The 2023 Bills are the only ones to do both.”

    - I don’t know what the refs were on last night, but they certainly seemed to be more keyed in on the Bills than the Chargers. The Morse holding call happens on nearly every NFL play. Extremely minor.

    - Josh Allen threw this, while jumping, and falling backwards, chased by numerous defenders, off his back foot, from the 41 to the 13. This is insane arm strength. Almost incomprehensible. No one else except Mahomes has any chance at this throw.

    IMG-5667.jpg

Neal's observation of this play saved us. He read the cross-field pass and made the runner hesitate.

    - We need to work on our end-of-game lateral defense. It was tough watching our defense lunging at the ball carrier before they lateraled it on the final play. And my goodness, if the Chargers player in the photo below had half a brain, it could have been a Music City Miracle situation. There were SEVEN chargers on one side of the field and only TWO Bills defenders. “13 seconds” was horrible. Imagine if we added “1 second” to the list. We need to get better at this.

    IMG-5666.jpg

    - Is Matthew Smiley gone after this season? Numerous penalties on punt/kick returns, poor returns, we have almost had punts blocked several times, etc.

    - The Dolphins haven’t beaten a team over .500 in over 450 days. I think that may end today, just because the Cowboys are overrated. But I think they lose to Baltimore next win and the Bills take the division the week after.

    - Diggs only played 60% of the snaps last night. Something is up with him that the team is not telling us.

    - Don’t forget to cancel your Peacock subscription.

    .

One rumor I heard was that he had the flu.  Believe Cook was out earlier in the week for illness, supposedly was going around team??  No idea on how true this is, just passing on something I heard.

I will say one thing, I think the Chargers seemed to have had the benefit of a home town clock operator.  The fact that at the end the kickoff only took 4 seconds and then the incomplete pass still had a second left, seemed like someone with fast fingers operating the clock.

I think the stats were misleading a little. The penalties and execution errors derailed a lot of the drives today.

Add to the penalties, 3-0 on turnovers 52 to 65 on total plays, the ratio of runs to passes wasn't that bad.

The other concern I have is most of the year, Allen has been off a bit on many of his passes. The 1st pass of the game to Diggs was near his feet, he over threw Kincaid on one early, the int was under thrown.  Hasn't just been this game either.  Prior years you could count on 3rd and 20, Allen throwing a sideline connection where no one but the WR could catch it.  He's not making it easy for the guys to make the catches.  He still does make the amazing pass, but not as often as prior.

So there you have it, in this scenario you have Miami (12-5), Baltimore (12-5), Jacksonville (11-6), and Kansas City (11-6) as the division winners and the wildcards going to Indianapolis (11-6), Cleveland (11-6), and Cincinnati (11-6) even with Buffalo (11-6) winning out.  You know.. in case you were wondering.

So which tie breaker is it that knocks the Bills out when all 4 are tied at 11-6

Have you watched the freakin' Bengals last couple games?

Those damned cats are playing like their jocks are on fire and hitting will put it out. Browning is playing like Burrows Jr.  I'd like to say it's 3 junk teams they beat, but they beat the Jags (who beat us), the Colts (who have won 5 of their last 6) and the Vikes (sad trombone)

Anyway, I'd like to think KC will thump them, but I'm not at all sure the Steelers have it in them to thump anyone right now.

True, but they were lucky to beat Vikings, Colts are hot, but who have they really beaten, and Jags have lost 4 or last 6, admittedly all to good teams.

Having said that actually think Jags and Colts could win out as playing easy schedules.

I think the Bills will enjoy a January trip to South Florida, maybe for a night game.  Josh has played well in that stadium with good results other than the 12OF in the sun game with the Bills offense on the field for 90+ snaps where Diggs needed 2 IVs, OL got decimated with Tommy Doyle finishing out the game although his knee was wrecked and the offense lost the juice to finish 12+ play drives with TDs.  The Bills will play well there in week 18 and the Bills Mafia will show up and make themselves seen and heard.  If they had to return for a playoff game, that would be fine with me too.

If Bills win next two and Miami loses one it will either be 4:25 or Sunday night, one or other.

And I'd like a vacation to the Dominican Republic, and a Pony.

It's not a question of preference, it's a question of the normal recovery timeline for the injury.  McDermott said that it was a chance to get DaQuan back late in the season, but not Milano from what he's been told about it.  That fits what Bangedup Bills said about the timeline of a pec tear requiring surgery (what Jones had) vs. a tibial plateau fracture (if that's what Milano had)

Why do you want a pony??

Yes I get it, BUT if I could snap my magic fingers I'd prefer Milano, but likely not the case.

3 - The Pulls - Maybe I don't pay attention to this enough in other games, but it seemed like our lineman pull game was exceptional.  I counted at least six big runs where a guard or tackle OR QB pulled to the other side of the line and laid out a monster block.  It was almost comical to see those guys get to the next level and destroy a defender.  You've all seen the replay of Dawkins blocking a defender into the next time zone on one of the big Cook runs.  Regardless, such a simple play design allowing the big dawgs to shine was a beautiful thing and I couldn't be happier for the line to finally show some success.

Fixed it for you.  Thought it was funny on the one run by Cook to the left side.  Josh was out in front and you could see he was ready and looking to hit someone.  Then after about 5 yards a light must of went off in his head and he stopped and got the hell out of there before anyone could hit him.

Right now Joe Brady is earning the permanent OC job, but according to NFL rules the Bills have to interview for the OC job and they must interview minorities.

If Brady's offense continues to win, then every interview is a sham since Brady will be a lock for the job.

Unless the goal of the interviewee is to get the QB coach job, why would anyone interview for a job someone else is a lock to get?  This part of the enhanced Rooney Rule is a total joke. They might as well ask Les Frazier to interview for the OC job as a favor to the team.

If they elect to "remove the interim tag" prior to seasons end, does that get around that rule?
