Last touchdown we did not have our number one defensive line out there 3 out of 4 were backups , Epinesa was the lone starter. No pressure at all, looked comical. Also, in cold weather you need to keep you best players muscles warm, best way to do that is to keep them in the game. Staff needs to rethink DL rotation in cold weather or at least have numerous warmup bikes on the sideline. Space heaters keep skin warm not sure if they keep deep muscles warm.
You should contact the Bills, I'm sure they have no idea about this.

When they brought him in, wasn't Coleman hurt? And maybe also Kinkaid?? Samuel also seemed to be struggling more from an injury early on? So now Coleman is back, has a full year of working in the system. Hollins is the best blocker so he's not coming off the field very often, same with Shakir not coming off as he's the most reliable WR. Samuel also seems to be doing better these days. So factoring in all this just not snaps left for Cooper unless someone gets dinged up and add to that he is the new less experienced guy left.

Re-sign this absolute maniac ASAP.
Agree they should bring him back, but he was close again to taking a penalty tonight, he needs to calm down a bit.
Overall, hope he comes back on like a 2 year deal.

That's what's funny, the Bills were the underdog at home, most of the country was picking the Ravens, add to that most everyone talked about this being a bad matchup for Bills, and Ravens were best team in AFC.
But yet if the Bills lost, McD needs to go!
(And yes being underdog just reflects how people bet, but people wouldn't bet that way if they didn't think Ravens were going to win)

But yet he's also the least experienced WR we have in this offense and having reps with Josh Allen.
Samuel appears to be healthy and have moved past him on the depth chart. Cooper also has a lot of the same skillet as Coleman .
Add to that as much as we've been running the ball in game so f late, Hollins is the best blocking WR so he's definitely on the field. Also factor in we go with 6 PL often or today saw Gilliam out there a fair amount plus at least one TE on the field. Probably don't want to sit Shakir
So if you got 6 OL, plus Allen, Cook, TE, Hollins only one spot left. Even without 6 OL only two spots left and 4 guys competing for them, Knox, Samuel, Coleman and Cooper. And Cooper has least playing time with Allen and as someone said maybe he's getting old?? Coleman is now been with Allen for 5 months so he's likely getting more comfortable with eachother too.

Has anyone seen the point spread for next week? I'll guess KC by 3

He definitely not a sore loser. Had a huge smile on when he embraced Josh at the end of the game. Good for him.
I noticed that too, I'll give him credit. Not a knock on Josh, but if Bills had lost, doubt he'd been smiling like that

Baltimore got what they deserved. They got greedy & wanted to tie the game with too much time on the clock. If they had kicked the extra point to get within 1, they would not have had to go for 2 after the last TD & could have sent the game into overtime. Too many teams go for 2 too early in the game.
I've seen that happen many times where they go too early. This time not so sure??

Ben Johnson called a brutal game. He was calling trick plays at critical moments - one went for a pick. It was brutal to watch. Detroit looked bad. Played bad. Coaches were at a loss. Not sure what the heck happened. Redskins came to PLAY!!!! Outmatched them.
One theory out there is that Goff was concussed or hurt bad on that brutal no call hit.
Yeah I was thinking/wondering the same thing.

call ups were WR Virgil and OL Clapp
no RBs called up
So Clapp is likely incase Anderson can't go or maybe they already know he isn't playing. Did read on Friday McD said he thought he'd play??

I do think the Lions losing yesterday may help the Bills keep Brady. If the Lions had gone all the way to the SB, and assuming the Bills get knocked out, teams often don't want to wait that long to name their next HC so may be tempted to move to their 2nd or 3rd choice. But now both Johnson and Glenn are available though I do wonder if losing took some of their luster away from other teams desire to hire them? Good chance they both get HC jobs so that narrows down the opportunities for Brady.
-
I don't see any articles in BN or threads here about callups on Saturday, so I take that to mean Davis cleared concussion protocol and no one else is set to be out?? Or did I miss it?

When I first read the title, I thought it said Bills sign Aaron Rogers

Certainly the injuries made a big difference, but I do wonder if this loss will take some of the luster off the potential hirings of Johnson and Glenn?

Which coaches had hoe names?
Well if you did some checking, you'd probably find a lot of coaches meet that definition!!
Reading it back now and looking at it, to be honest, I can't figure out now what word I was trying to write!

I’m sure McD can sleep well tonight knowing he has your blessing to continue for at least another season as the Bills head coach. 🙄
Anyone who’s entertained the notion of firing McDermott is a complete idiot in my opinion. The team has won 14 of 18 games in what was expected to be a ‘transition year’ with the exodus of several key players. It would probably have been 15 of 18 if they’d played their best team against the pats. In the process, they handed defeats to the top seeded teams each conference, and also both teams from the last Super Bowl.
But yeah, let’s start looking for McDs replacement if they lose.
When I hear the ‘fire McDermott’ chants, I’m convinced they’re coming from the same idiots who went ballistic when the Bills chose Josh Allen rather than Josh Rosen. And even a bigger idiot if anyone thinks that if they fire McD, someone is going to come in a do a better job. Over the past 5 years combined, the Bills have won the 2nd most games behind the Chiefs 66 to 61. If you exclude the top 5 teams on the list, from that point down, the next 5 to 10 teams would need to take their 6 year combined wins against Bills 5 year totals to catch him and after about #15 on the list would take 7 seasons. Over the past 5 season the Bills are also first in TD's, yards, yards per game, opposing points and points per game (those 2 surprised me a bit) 2nd in first downs and 3rd down percent and a disappointing 4th place in fourth down %, a whole 1.1% behind the leader.
When you look at numbers like that there is so little room for improvement, the likelihood is very very low. I get the argument too, that you can't keep doing the same thing and expect different results, but the counter to that is, If you're going to change something expecting to get better, you need a well laid out plan what's going to change so you get better. And in selecting NFL coaches there really isn't a plan, it's just getting lucky with the right person. If there was a plan many teams would have figured it out and succeeded already. Picking an NFL that will succeed is not much better than the equivalent of playing roulette and hoping you hit on your number.
There was an article in the Athletic the other day discussing how: Teams should also realize that hiring offensive coordinators as head coaches is not critical or even important for making sure your offense and your team contends at the highest levels. and gave 5 examples of winning HC who never called offensive plays John Harbaugh, McD, Campbell, Bowles, and Quinn and then gave some examples of hoe name coaches to hire who never worked out for various reasons
You may be onto something about those complaining about picking the wrong Josh

So you think the talent gap between josh allen and lamar jackson is greater than the talent gap between the rest of the players on Baltimore vs the rest of the players on buffalo?
Not sure I agree . Lamar and allen are almost identical. The Ravens have 8 pro bowlers outside of the QB vs. 1 for the bills.
Yeah and I'd place Mahomnes closer to Allen and Jackson too.
I also question McVay having the 2nd best coaching score. Yes been to 2 different SB with 2 different QB's but in between no so great. Since last SB win, this is first year they won division and that was more the other teams lost than Rams doing great.

Bengals went to the SB Burrows 2nd season, Taylor's 3rd and were back in the AFCC game the next season.....
Yup and how's they do lately? Did they win the SB, did I miss that? They seem to fit the model of exactly what I described, fast rise, plateau, then falling.
Lets face if the Bills made it to the SB this year and lost, all the McD haters would still be calling for his head. Many would be disappointed if the Bills won the SB as then they'd not be able to argue he needs to be fired. But I'm sure they could still find a reason

Seems most teams who get that superstar QB often ascend quickly out of know where, make some bold sometimes somewhat risky moves to get over the top (see Diggs, Miller), but more offend it gets them close, but not all the way and puts them in cap trouble. Coaches and front office folks will also learn from some of their roster building mistakes and do it slightly different after that. So then the team rebuilds/retools around the QB and some other players which is where the Bills are now. Based on preseason expectations, think it went better so far than expected. Bills, Bengals, Dolphins, 49ers all followed that path to name a few. Think the Bengals and Dolphins are couple years behind the Bills so will be interesting to see how they recover. Will they quickly bounce back like Bills did or sink into oblivion like many other teams have done over the years. Dolphins also have the problem of having a QB who is very good, top 10 when healthy, but staying on the field is a problem for him.
Why were the Chiefs the exception, likely because they were already a good team before Mahomes ever got there. Also had a coach with around 15 years experience with roster building (and never winning the SB) before he ever got to KC. Still took him 7 years there before winning his first SB. Chiefs didn't have to "grow up fast" like others did as they already had a decent core to build around the QB.
Add to all that little bit of luck, favorable playoff matchups, avoiding key injuries and events and bad times, and not getting hurt by bad calls all help too.

Frazier's a good coach & i think he more than likely learned a lot of things from his first go round that he might change, plus seeing what & how the Bills did some things i'm sure he was paying attention .
But when your working for Jerry none of that matters he had 1 of the best coaches ever and screwed that up by pissin him off enough for him to quit . I've done a couple of tours in that stadium and he micro manages every one that comes through the door and i can't imagine what it would be like to have him looking over your shoulder every day .
Saw a good quote the other day:
Jerry would rather lose doing it his way, than win with someone else calling the shots
