  1. Yes, it was 19-17. I just think it's a bunch of crap seeing that he led the team down the field on the drive prior to that one and BTW that drive was 12 plays for 61 yards before Lindell missed the FG. Almost everyone agrees that if that FG is made the game is pretty much over.
  2. Lol, Sue. I've had this discussion with many fine people on this board. I have my opinion and you know what it is obviously. The difference between Vick and Drew is that Vick is a game breaker. He's 24. He's been to the playoffs in both of his first two years in this league. He's got so much upside potential it's sickening. The other is a 33 year old who hasn't lead his team to crap in his last five years in the league.
  3. I don't see Brady firing up anyone before games.....don't really know what you mean.
  4. Whoa there buckaroo.....momentum in that game was huge. After Pitt walked down the field on our D they had it. Lindell effectively killed that game for us. I'm hardly going to blame Drew for not picking up a blindside blitz. Two men came and there was only one blocker. Blame him if you want but that game wasn't his fault.
  5. Ok, Sue. You have your opinion and I respect that. When do you propose we give JP his chance?
  6. I still refuse to blame that game on Drew. He made mistakes but he drove his team down the field and set them up to take the lead in that game and then Lindell missed and the D collapsed.
  7. Because he's mobile!!!! He's got the ability to get out of the pocket if necessary!!! Perhaps you are missing that point Sue.
  8. But, you'll never be able to prove your point. The closest comparison is the Pats pre Tom Brady. And we know what Bledsoe led his team to then. Not a whole heck of a lot.
  9. Sue, that was 1996. That was almost 10 years ago. Drew isn't a 23 year old QB anymore. He's overrated and it's time for him to walk. There is a number 1 draft pick on the bench sitting there drooling for his chance to play. I can't see overpaying for mediocrity anymore. IMO.
  10. When did realistic become based in "what-if's" We are talking about next year and once again overpaying for a QB that was ranked at the bottom of the league in almost every statistic last year.
  11. So,if the Patriots were the Bills including coaching staff except for Tom Brady behind center would the Bills have won? NO!!!! Bledsoe's team did nothing before Brady stepped and magically took them to the SB.
  12. With Bledsoe at QB? I'd venture to say not much better than .500.
  13. If the entire offense is rebuilding why not bring in the potential that is sitting on the bench in JP and let him take his lumps now? If we wait another year or two what do we have? A 35 year old QB who is getting too old to play and an offense that is hitting their stride
  14. Perpared? Drew? A three time SB winner QB said that Drew doesn't prepare as much as he could. The defining moment for Drew for me was when he threw it away on fourth down against the Eagles last year. I respect Drew as a man, but as a QB he's got to be one of the most overrated players I've ever watched.
  15. Sue, I just don't get it. Bledsoe has been here three years and has managed to lead us to a mediocre record every year. What more is there to prove??? It's time for Bledsoe to move on. We used our number 1 pick on a QB. If we aren't going to give him a shot then what was the point of drafting him?
  16. I think Drew is going to walk. No way at his age do you delegate to a backup role. While he's no where near being a top QB in this league he's a lot better than the QB's some teams are putting on the field. I'm wishy washy on whether he should go or stay. Everyone seems to say "We've seen what he's done" but honestly could it be the coaching staff that was put around him prior to this year? This was the first winning season he had in Buffalo and let's face it he didn't exactly have the best coaches to work with. But, with that being said, now that he has better coaches perhaps they've seen something promising in JP to make this step. The one thing I know is that TD is a marketing genius. The guy will manage to get us excited for the next year even if going in we really look like we are going to suck. And odds are if we start a rookie QB we aren't going to have a real good campaign in 2005. Say what you want about Big Ben, but look at the aggregate results of rookie QB's starting.
  17. Yeah, yeah the guy is an oddball....but if I'm in that good of shape when I'm 50 I'll be thanking my lucky stars.
  18. I would have rather had the winning streak. We had football that mattered in late December/Early January with Drew behind center. That's the first time I've been able to say that in five years. Training camp, mini camps, etc...if these coaches can't tell what the kid can do from there we don't have a very good coaching staff.
  19. I wish Giambi all the success in the world. I hope he can come back and put up numbers as big as before. While Giambi may know what he's been doing is bad for his body there wasn't any clear cut rules in MLB about steroids. How can he banned when in all honesty he didn't do anything wrong by the book. It's really sad that this dark cloud is getting put over the game. It's undoubtable my favorite sport to watch, always has been, but when it gets a black eye like this it's hard for me to watch. Like a good friend you thought you knew well that ends up being a wife beater.....baseball has brought my family together on many occassions and kept the channels of communication open for many years. I hope this gets cleaned up.
  20. Warner, Carr, Volek, Collins, Hasselbeck, Griese, Harrington???? Hey everyone has an opinion, but I'm glad you aren't running my franchise.
  21. I'd hardly say that was fair considering the fact that he missed most of the season last year and had a new offense installed this year. He played under Dan Reeves system/tutilage for 3 years and had to learn a totally new one under Mora this year. What are the Falcons going to do, they've had more success with Vick under center than they did over the previous 15 years. The sell out the Georgia dome regularly because of Vick and his skills. The only QB's I'd take over him at this moment would be Culpepper, Peyton, Brady and McNabb.
  22. All this and the guy still somehow led his team to the NFC Championship game... Yes, he was sacked more and had the lowest completion percentage in the game. He also ran for nearly 1000 yards and helped support the best running game in the league. If they want the guy to run then he's going to get hit behind the line sometimes. That being said, I did see Vick make some piss poor decisions at times this season. ie throwing the ball off his back foot like he's trying to make a basketball pass. But, seeing he's 24 and this is the second offense he's played in for the two years he's been starting I'd say he's doing pretty well. I have confidence that the guy is only going to get better in the pocket.
  23. Lol. I'm not comparing the guy to anyone right now. It's way to early to tell what he's going to do. But, he consistantly gets his team to the playoffs. That's more than can be said for Daunte Culpepper at this point in his career.
  24. I thought you said Bill Clinton was coming.....
  25. Rented "The Village" this weekend. Excellent movie. It was wonderful.
