Can we talk about the elephant in the room? Per source "Only one QB since 1994 has won a Super Bowl with a cap hit percentage higher than 13%, and that was 49ers legend Steve Young, whose deal predated the salary cap itself." Ideal salary range for Super Bowl winning QB's Josh Allen's hit next year will be $39.7 million, 17.4% of the cap. Brady used to take pay at a lower compensation than most other star quarterbacks so that the team would have more to spend on better players around him. Maybe Josh Allen should think about that. IF the money is spent wisely, donating $20 mill per year to the cause would improve his chances of getting a Super Bowl ring. I know that's a big "if" but we can talk about spending on the O-line or the D all we want but the new problem is going to be finding money to spend given the massive amount of cap money Allen will be getting.

I agree that had we somehow continued in the tourney, based on what we saw not only in the Cinci game but the latter part of the season, we would have gotten beat in the Super Bowl. And I'll take some heat for saying this but losing in the Super Bowl would have been far worse. The stigma of "the Bills can't win a Super Bowl", super chokers, etc., would have been tough to overcome in any follow up trips. Better to get stronger and smarter before we hit that first Super Bowl for this team - it HAS to be a win.

The vast majority of us wanted to believe that somehow, some way, the Bills were going to band together and rise up and win themselves and the city of Buffalo a Super Bowl championship - despite everything that had been thrown at them. What a grand documentary that would have made. One for the ages. But I suspect deep down inside as the difficulties mounted and turned from bad to worse, most of us started to realize it just wasn't likely that it was going to be our year. It takes a combination of skill and a degree of good fortune to win a championship. And luck was something we absolutely did not have. The result yesterday wasn't what we hoped for, but if we're honest with ourselves I think we knew it wasn't going to be our year. I'm looking forward to better seasons in the future. Like someone said - when football can be fun again!

I know we are more than a Von Miller away, but some are acting like we need to fire all the coaches and blow the team up. With all our players healthy and Von and Hyde playing, this might have been a lot closer, maybe a win. I just don't think we need to blow up the team. More bruising power in the middle of the line, that can collapse the pocket? Yes - we need that too.

After the 13 seconds debacle I think the feeling was we were a Von Miller away from getting where we needed to be against the teams with the best QB's (Mahomes, Burrow). I don't know if we can definitively say that wasn't true. We won't know because we lost him, then all the other series of unfortunate events to deal with happened. Put Von Miller back, erase all the misfortune and maybe, just maybe things turn out differently - including capturing the bye. We won't ever know. But it creates a serious quandry into considering where to go from here. Maybe we really aren't as far away as most are thinking based upon this one lackluster performance.

Our offensive and defensive lines were manhandled. But of course the coaches should have just had them play harder? Face it we were physically overpowered today. It certainly didn't help that we fell behind by 14 early. Playing behind by a lot most of the day allowed the Bengals to keep bringing pressure on Josh. But lord their "backup" O-line and running game just made our D look bad. I don't think it's coaching, I think we need to upgrade our talent on both lines.

It looked like he was wide open on our last shot to the endzone, instead Josh threw it to a covered Davis. Not that it would have likely mattered...

Their starting O-line was injured. The back-ups were healthy, fresh, strong, and quite capable.
