  1. I too am quite skeptical, and a bit concerned by the approach. Why would you take a player like Tyrod and try to fit him into a timing offense, which requires precision and anticipation?
  2. Littman had much more of a direct role in the lease renegotiations than Brandon did. I know that from someone who sat at the table.
  3. (Talking to myself like a lunatic) this article suggests he played a role, but that it was O'Brien who was the biggest proponent: http://www.houstonchronicle.com/sports/texans/article/Osweiler-acquisition-began-in-film-room-ended-6886807.php
  4. Ok but - did he have anything to do with Osweiler?
  5. Right? How does a post become its title? See: this thread.
  6. Who is "he"? Don't we need that information in order to evaluate your question?
  7. They are so good at the football business.
  8. Agree 100%, and I'm fine with it.
  9. I just hope he and McD understand how to plan both short- and long-term strategies for building the roster and staying competitive. Yes you need a QB but you also need to anticipate trends, and think creatively about how to allocate scarce resources. The Pegulas hired two scouts and gave them the keys to both franchises. They seem to have realized the mistake, but let's hope this next round of hires are the right people.
  10. Methinks he doesn't, but he should.
  11. Great post. The structure right now is finally the right one (or one of two or three that could work). Whether McDermott, who was coaching defenses six months ago, is the right guy to give all of the power to - that's an open question. At some point the Pegulas have to luck their way into a good hire, no?
  12. "Whaley was all about scouting players; McDermott is about building a team. Scouts don’t always know how to build teams. They know only how to pick players. And a scout focused primarily on scouting players can succeed only in a fantasy draft." Not to sound like BADOL - but this is what I have been saying about Whaley for YEARS...

  14. He also attacks the target - watch how he runs his routes, he goes back towards the ball to create space, and then catches with his hands.
  15. Didn't he say the same thing about Jauron?
