  1. Gonna be interesting to see how this plays out in the scalpers market. I usually buy scalped tix to see the Bills play the Jets every year. I rarely pay more than $100 and am usually between the 20s in the lower bowl.
  2. Believe me, there is not much of a price difference and a huge quality difference between a good off-the-rack and a custom. I get my customs for approx $650-800 depending on the fabric.
  3. Cool. And Nelson Blue...I've been known to hang out there on ocassion, but my boss loves the place. Pauly and Jamey are buddies of his. Great place.
  4. Have fun dealing with the tourist crowds, especially after November 1. I love working downtown and dread the day I may have to go to midtown.
  5. See, I've found their stuff to be poorly made. It just doesn't wear well. For suits, I get them custom tailored now. Fits like a glove, wears very well (sewn right there) and free adjustments for life. Price is actually not too bad depending on the fabric you pick.
  6. Would that be carnal knowledge?
  7. While we fight amongst ourselves, the incumbants of both parties rob us blind. Convenient distractions.
  8. I see your points in bold above, and acknowledge the same points in my rip of Donahoe. But Mike Williams ate himself out of the league. He did not work hard at all in Buffalo and was known as a soft, but talented, player. So the failure to work hard was on Williams. He could have been a good G for Buffalo, but had no desire to do anything except eat. So, yeah, I rip Williams and have no respect for him. I wish Mr. Wilson still had his money back and we had our #4 overall back. If Williams had worked hard in Buffalo and become a good G, I would have no problem with Williams. I'd say the front office messed up taking him #4 overall, but hey, thats not Williams fault, he worked hard and now we have a good, although slightly overpaid G. Fine. But he sh*t up his chance in Buffalo. I have no respect for him for that.
  9. Figured there was a margin or error of at least 10 years.
  10. Solid call there! And I totally agree. May even get a restaurant or two.
  11. Question for you...did you start an exercise program at the same time as quitting? I've been thinking about quitting myself, but work a fairly sedentary job and have two little ones at home (leaving less time than I would like for an exercise program). You quit and lost weight. Was that part of the plan and were the two co-dependent? Also, did you use any aid (like Chantix, the patch etc.) or go cold turkey? Thanks in advance for your resposne.
  12. Mine too. And I'd be thrilled. I smoke a pack a day, work too much and drink too much...and still 79. Cool. EDIT: And the feedback says I could add 15 years by quitting the smoking..."Smoking cigarettes is just about the worst thing you can do to your health and life expectancy. Please don't kid yourself, smoking greatly increases your risk for heart attack, stroke and numerous different tyes of cancer. Stopping now will add 15 years to your life. "
  13. At least you have the opportunity to sell the crappy investment at a small loss now, rather than invest even more into a losing investment until you are flat broke. Lady luck was shining down on you today.
  14. Ding, ding. F$%* him. I want my 4th overall pick back, thanks. And F*$^ Donahoe...he should have seen that Williams was immature and not picked him. He's paid to make the right decision, especially with #4 overall.
  15. If we end up with Gaithner for our 2 next year, and we sign him to a deal, I would consider this to be one successful offseason.
  16. I appreciate all cultures that give me a reason to go out on a Tuesday or whatever and drink heavily!
  17. Yep. Gotta have a market for the luxury boxes. To my knowledge, our luxury box seating has been filled, but there is scant additional demand. If there was more demand, my guess is the Bills and county/state would add those seats. RWS is rather genius in that it is 2/3 underground and can be refurbished rather easily.

  19. Not exactly true. Here is a link to the news report. Shows what each kid was wearing that day. One had a bandana on, was told to remove it because it was against the dress code and did. Another kid had US flag themed sneakers. The report does not specify if the kid was asked to remove his sneakers and walk around in socks all day. Were the kids trying to make a bit of a statement...sure they were. But any kid in the USA should be able to wear the US flag on any day. If we start with Cinco de Mayo...what's next St. Patrick's Day? St. Stanislaus? The day of the Puerto Rican day parade in NYC? C'mon...we are in the USA here. The HS administrators were stupid in taking the bait the kids obviously laid out. If they had ignored the issue, we'd have no news report. Interestingly, the district disagreed publicly with the HS decision and met with all the parents that day. Methinks someone at the HS is in a bit of trouble and it won't be the kids.
  20. Oh those can be fun. And sure, they fit. But I'm also talking about the club district on 27th street, the UES, Bryant Park and many other mainstream places. Many of my non-smoker friends come outside when I go for a smoke just to chat up the hotties. And don't forget the summer rooftop bars that are frequented most by smokers. That season is just kicking off...
  21. Actually, the party is usually outside the bar. Being a smoker is a great icebreaker outside the bar. In NYC at least, many, many hotties smoke...helps suppress the appetite you know. The heavier non-smokers are in the bar pounding 500 calories chick drinks. As for chain smoking all day...gotta fit some work in around the smoke breaks!
  22. Most decent folks would never ever think of doing something like that. In fact, most smokers I know go out of their way to find places where you are permitted to smoke in order to have a cigarette.
  23. True. But the difference this time is that the States are bankrupt and need any penny of revenue they can get. Budget gimmicks only go so far. California introduced a bill in its legislature to permit full legalization of marijuana. The Federal government has already stated that it will not take any enforcement action against sellers of medical marijuana. There is no fundamental difference right now between California and Greece, excpet California's economy is approximately 10x as large as Greece. When Greece (and other nations) joined the EU and relinquished the power to manage interest rates and print their own currency, they effectively became like US states. Greece is burdened by gold plated pensions, high taxes and make good work. So is California. When California feel the budget crunch (next year) you will see full legalization and taxation of marijuana. That is why there is no way tobacco, a huge source of tax revenue for the states, will ever be banned.
