  1. The point is that a few weeks ago we were very competitive against the Patriots. Neither teams personnel has dramatically changed since that game. We do have some talent on the team. We have coaches who do not know how to use the talent we have, how to game plan, or how to make adjustments. As a result it's possible some players may have given up on the season. I can't blame them if they have. I gave up a long time ago.
  2. Yet these same players almost beat New England the last time we played. Explain that.
  3. I would think that Wyche's health issues would probably preclude him from a head coaching job. The stress would probably kill him. I would take Jeff Fischer if Tenn were dumb enough to let him go. Other than maybe Fassel, none of the coaches you mention thrill me. Reeves got pushed out of Atlanta. Mora essentially took the same team and got them to the playoffs. Lebeau really tanked it in Cincinatti. I wouldn't hire Pete Carroll in a million years (can't forget that Jets stint). Ditka might be good, although his last stint in New Orleans wasn't very impressive.
  4. I forgot about Wade's stint in Denver. I'm not sure what this team really needs now other than coaches with expereince (preferably winning experienes) on their resumes. Unfortunately that list is pretty damn short.
  5. This may sound crazy, but I would not be opposed to brining back Wade Phillips or Greg Williams over any first year coach. I would much rather have an experienced head coach, gut I think both Wade and Greggo have probably learned a tremendous amount from their first head coaching experiences, and would be able to correct some of the mistakes that they have made. We all know that Belicheck sucked when he was at Cleveland, and we all know the results when he got a second chance. If a team is going to benefit from the learning experiences we have given all these first time coaches, why not let it be us? Rip away.
  6. This is one of the best games I've seen Drew play. He's doing a great job in the pocket stepping up, side stepping and avoiding the rush. Can't believe i just said that.
  7. Are you a moron? It was a hatchet job the whole way. How on earth does Mort know that Moulds took himself out because Evans got 3 TDs? That is what he implied. Moulds missed the monday meeting with MM? Didn't MM say he had a got meeting with Moulds on Monday? Quoting a coach who was quoting Moulds doesn't make it a fact. About the only fact is that the Bills sent Moulds the letter about the signing bonus. Bills looked great without Moulds though eh?
  8. If Mort's accounts are what really happened, I can't understand why Ralph was so conflicted with his Solomon and the baby comments. Seems pretty cut and dry.
  9. Here's what Mort said. It was very skewed towards the front office position: Moulds took himself out after Evans scored 3 1st qtr touchdowns. He refused to return. He twice said "I don't have to do what the head coach says" He reported no injury during the game. At half time, he listened to music in his locker instead of the coaches. He failed to show for the monday meeting with Mularkey. The Bills have sent a letter saying anymore incidents and the bills will go after a portion of the signing bonus. Like I said, it seemed heavily biased, especially the Evans comment becasue that leads you to believe that the only reason he took himself out was because he was jealous.
  10. GM's get paid for results don't they? Donahoe may have been in high regard, but the product he has put on the field and the coaches he has selected has been very questionable. I would hope that any GM coming in would have enough confidence in their ability that they think they can do a better job than TD, with better results. If not, they shouldn't be hired.
  11. Mularkey was a little slick in his press conference when he said Moulds was excused from practice. Does it mean: 1) We don't want you at practice, your excused, so don't bother showing up Thursday and Friday or 2) We want you at practice, but given the situation you're excused if you don't come. I think it means number 1, but he's trying to make it sound like Eric has a choice in the matter when he really doesn't. Can Eric practice Thursday and Friday if he wants to?
  12. I have heard Moulds say that he wasn't complaining about the initial game plan. I've heard him say that after the first qtr that we did not adjust to a game plan that would pound the ball and take time off the clock. If that's the case then he was obviously right, and I think Mularkey is being defensive for looking like the idiot that he was during the game.
  13. I'm with you. I will take Eric's 10 year commitment to the Bills over Mularkeys year and half. I can't explain why, but if Moulds is forced out like this, I will really lose some of the love I have for the Bills. They are turning into an organization that does not deserve my support.
  14. I deleted my Tivo recording yesterday, so I can't go back and check, but that certainly is not my recollection. i remember the announcers mentioning several times that Moulds was taking the double coverage.
  15. The only reason why Evans was open was because Moulds was double teamed. Lets see how he does as the #1 taking the double teams.
  16. MM should be suspended for playcalling detremental to the team. He's a fool if he thinks he can get away with a TO type suspension. I'd like to see him deposed for 6 hours like Andy Reid. So Mr. Mularkey, why exactly did you call for a play action pass on 1st and goal from the 3?
  17. I'd take Wade Phillips back if he and Ralph can kiss and make up.
  18. That's funny. I heard Mort on friday on ESPN radio say there was a 0% chance of Mularkey or Donahoe getting fired.
  19. The impression I got from Mould's comments was that he was okay taking the double teams, but he got pissed with the pass happy / gadget play calling that Mularkey was doing. I got the impression that Moulds actually wanted them to play more smash mouth power football. I haven't seen anything addressing how it played out between Moulds and Mularkey in the game, but if Moulds took himself out as some form of protest I'll be disappointed in him. If it was Mularkey, I think he cut his nose off to spite his face.
  20. I couldn't agree more. The first time I saw him return a punt, I thought "is that it". He does not seem particularly fast to me. I like him, but I doubt his career in the league will be much longer than 3 years. He's gonna get nailed by some 270 lb special teams guy going full speed, and it'll be career over.
  21. If that's what he said, he's freaking right. We should have pounded them to hell. On 1st and goal from the 4, you pound Willis 3 times and then kick a field goal if he doesn't get in. Coaching lost this game without question.
  22. He was thrown to 1 time. How can you provide a spark if you're not given an opportunity. How do you know Moulds isn't talking? I have not seen or heard any postgame comments from any of the players.
  23. I want to hear Moulds side of this. MM and TD are liars, and I have lost all respect for them.
