Yes I've been in favor of that idea. Score 35+ per game and just steamroll the competition. Make the defense practically irrelevant. The investments made over the past couple offseasons however tell you the team was expecting a different path to victory so I'd like to see those investments start to produce the desired result.

And what is that desired result? Never let the other team score? Not realistic. Make sure we score more and win. Let's look at the record the past few seasons. Hmmm.

Of course we want to keep doing that into February. And I would argue, since "13 seconds," our D put the offense in a position to win those final playoff games.

Some of these kinds of stats can be a little misleading though. When you're one of the worst in the league in giving up rush yards it will affect how teams attack you.

Then the question is are the Bills actually very good defending against the pass or are opposing teams just not bothering to pass as much against Buffalo because it is so easy to run on them?

It's well known the Bills would rather give up rushing yards than passing yards. You let teams run all over you between the 20's but you don't allow them a TD.

It's also worth noting team's will have success on their first couple drives before we adjust. How many times have we lost our minds seeing a team drive to a touchdown on their first drive, then do nothing the rest of the game?

Curious about how FinHaven was reacting to the Hill Injury, and expecting If be plowing through gallons of popcorn in the process, I traipsed on over to their board to read the tea leaves:

Hills injury | FinHeaven - Miami Dolphins Forums hills-injury.388579

What strikes me is that they're about as lifeless as their team. God, here we are, with Schopp and The Bulldog caterwauling for three hours about how our 2nd and 3rd string RB's aren't producing enough. Meanwhile, one of the most dangerous offensive weapons in the league is probably done for the season, if not his career, and Dolphins fans are basically like, "Oh man, that sucks...".

Can you, for one moment, try and imagine this board if we were in their shoes? We would be literally burning the Internet to smithereens!

Maybe... Just maybe we should take a moment to realize how damn good we have it, right now, folks. Maybe we shouldn't melt down when our 2nd and 3rd stringers aren't posting Madden stats. Maybe... Just maybe we should check ourselves before we become kin to the dreaded, two-decades-worth of entitled Pats fans...

Perspective is a lonely hand to hold, boys. We got it pretty damned good!

Are we now like Alabama football fans during the Nick Saban era? Where if we didn't score a TD every drive, or three-n-out every opponent, someone's head would roll?

  4. There is an irrational desire to see "Sugar High" Josh again. Like when he blindly chucked the ball up to Robert Foster for an 75 yd TD.

Man, that was AWESOME!!  And it was also a play that had a 2% of working. For some reason, low-risk, ball control, winning football just doesn't scratch that itch anymore.

It would be great if the Cold Front jersey I ordered on Sept. 10 arrives in time for the Cold Front game Oct. 5.

Update: package due to arrive on Oct 2. I'm leaving for Buffalo Oct 3. Fingers crossed.
