  1. Name someone who has led his team to more success. Have fun losing in the playoffs.
  2. Signing the best QB in the NFL to a below-market deal is a waste of money?
  3. It wasn't "over" the first 8,000 times you predicted it would be. Do you really think this instance will be any different?
  4. According to Lucas himself, he had the whole thing planned out, but decided to release the middle installment first because it would give the series its best chance for success. My advice: Don't go in looking for "Citizen Kane." Accept it for what it is - a campy space opera that's meant to harken back to the days of Flash-Gordon-type serials, and also draws on epic mythology. If you adopt that attitude going in, you'll be all but guaranteed 13 hours of great fun.
  5. I believe it was a mild stroke caused by a small hole in the heart which has since been surgically repaired. But don't quote me.
  6. Watch them I-VI. That's how they are intended to be viewed - chronologically.
  7. Brown began his career as a 3-4 ILB with Pittsburgh.
  8. Indeed. It appears the Pats are preparing for life without Bruschi in '05.
  9. Not sure if you guys have seen these new TV ads yet. They're awesome! http://pdl.stream.aol.com/aol/us/moviefone...tect_480_dl.mov http://pdl.stream.aol.com/aol/us/moviefone...tion_480_dl.mov
  10. I thought he was more of a pocket guy. As for the Fins, none of their QBs (Feeley, Frerotte, and Rosenfels) strike me as guys who will hurt you with their legs.
  11. Actually, low numbers for college WRs have always been pretty "in." Until recently, though, the NFL required that WRs (except Keyshawn, for some reason) wear numbers in the 80s unless there were none available. I think it was last year that they started allowing WRs to wear numbers in the 10-20 range under all circumstances, hence the Roy Williams, Larry Fitzgerald, etc. epidemic.
  12. Good point. Between the Bills, Falcons, and Broncos; a full quarter of the Pats' schedule is agaist teams with QBs who are a threat outside of the pocket. Kevin Faulk has previously filled the "mobile QB" role on the scout team, and Flutie would free him up.
  13. Possibly, but I don't konw what we'd get for him. He had his chance last preseason to show that he was worthy of being considered a future starter, and he played like crap against back-ups.
  14. What stuff? Signing camp competition? Every team does that. Do you really think you're in a position to critique a Bill Belichick draft?
  15. Who could resist that blazing fast 4.8 forty?
  16. They'd be pretty short-sighted to do that, IMO. The '06 draft is going to be, by all accounts, FAR better than the '05 draft. A pick in '06 is worth a good deal more than a pick in '05, as far as I'm concerned. I was very pleased that the Pats chose to trade out of this draft as much as they could. The talent level was pretty poor.
  17. Holt was probably just shocked that any self-respecting human being would go to so much trouble to make a pun joke based on a guy's last name. Honestly, it's a college draft. Give me the info, and spare me the foolish stand-up act.
  18. The ESPN coverage (first half of day one, all of day 2) had that for the most part, but ESPN2 completely scrapped it. BAD idea. Then for about an hour on day two, ESPN feels that it's more important to use the entire strip at the bottom of the screen to warn us that Maurice Clarret's press conference is coming up, than to let us know which players have actually been drafted.
  19. Berman's humor ALWAYS sucks.
  20. Berman by a mile. The nicknames, the neck fat, the combover/mullet...this guy virtually defines "unwatchable."
  21. More like "Creepy Tom." Gah! Looks the type of guy who'd keep a family in his freezer.
  22. I made a mistake and rectified it. No need to be rude. As for spoilers, Lucasfilm released the screenplay in .pdf format, and I got it in text format from someone who screencapped it and then ran it through an OCR program (to bypass copy protection). Good script, IMO (although I am someone who liked TPM and AOTC for the most part).
  23. Bingo. Wrong Borges (as he's known to Pats fans) turned on Belichick the second Bledsoe was benched, and he's bitter as hell that while he predicted a Pats collapse, the only thing that's collapsed is Bledsoe's career. He's the one who made the imfamous 73-0 pick for the Rams in the Super Bowl 36. He's an idiot. (EDIT: Apparently, this article was written as a joke by KFFL forum member Lloyd_Christmas. Pretty spot-on parody, though. )
