  1. I don't really think they're really trying to do the same thing as the Bills, they just recognize the fact that if you want to beat Brady you have to pressure him so we both have tried to put a solid front 7 together. Why we put one together and failed to blitz Brady, then watched him sit back there and shred our secondary for the entire second half is on the coaching staff. As far as mobile Qbs go that seems to be where the league is going regardless of the fact the best QBs in the league are pocket passers. The Bills have one now they need to protect him, I have a lot of respect for Orton with sh#%t for an O-line he stands in there with his eyes down the field trying to make a play.
  2. If you don't think Sammy is worth it take a look at what a difference a stud reciever makes to a team. You don't have to look any further than the Bengals and what they have done since A C Green was hurt, Atlanta without Julio Jones last year, in todays NFL a star reciever is a difference maker and our FO recognized that and went out and got us one. Sammy will be paying dividends long after this discussion has been put to rest, the Watkins deal will probably go down as one of the smartest moves ever made by a Bills FO.....
  3. That's with Marrone going into the week declaring we need to get better on first down. 12 running plays for 20 yards and a fumble. 15 pass plays 4 receptions for 33 yards an interception, 2 sacks one strip fumble -10 yards. 27 plays for +43 yards 1.59 yards per first down attempt. God knows what would have happened if the coaching staff didn't work on getting better on first downs this week, what did they spend some extra time coaching up the secondary too!!!
  4. No doubt about it our D-line has to give offensive coordinators nightmares, you would think our O-line would be better from the experience of practicing against them. I went FJ without him we probably lose at Chicago and Detroit, Mario on defense although it's hard to pick anybody over Marcel and KW and over all Mario, by years end it very well could be Sammy or Marcel. How nice is it to have a talent like Mario and there are so many other players you could make a legitimate case for. With the Pegulas hopefully we start keeping our best players.
  5. + 1 I like the Cards for the same reasons stated above but would wait as long as I could to put the pick in see who is going to play QB if Stanton and Palmer can't play, take the Bengals at home they're going to be really fired up after the Patriot beat down. Stay away from interdivision games teams know each other to well, they're often way closer than they should be. Like Seattle too but would save them.
  6. My brother has a Norwood jersey he wears it when we go to Miami, it tends to temper the dol-fans around us...
  7. Jesus Christ, would you give Orton a f---ing chance, he looked pretty good against one of the best defenses in the league, on the road, without playing since last year. Signed Rich Gannon
  8. It's to early to say the Brown deal was a bad one, he looked good in the preseason, and had two monster games with the Eagles. Given CJ and FJs injury history at some point this season he'll play a significant role and we'll be damn glad Whaley got him.
  9. Went to a Bills game in Jacksonville Bills fans seriously outnumbered jags fans it was like a home game, jags fans were even saying this is like a home game for Buffalo. Aren't they covering seats in Jacksonville so it doesn't look so bad on tv.
  10. KO has the starting job with a lot of offensive weapons time will tell providing Pears, Richardson or Spiller don't get him killed before we can pass judgement on his body of work this season. His teammates seem to support him, and he certainly doesn't lack confidence. He seems like a Buffalo kind of guy, I for one would love to see him work out here.
  11. I agree the Bills are one of the most complete teams you will find, granted they need help at the guard position, but Seattle as good as they are also needs help on their o-line Russel Maryland won the game last night with a lot of broken plays due to O-line play. I'm most impressed with the depth Whaley has aquired, we went into the Lions game down a pro bowl DT and probably the most productive LB on the roster and still held them to 7 offensive points and 69 yards rushing. I could care less what this team did in years past right now we have a very young talented roster with depth that has won 2 road games that nobody thought they could win. How many of those past teams would have would have been running for the bus as soon as they went down 14 on the road. This is a different team comparing them to the 2003 thru 2011 versions is rediculous, I would compare them to the 88 thru 90 versions that were young talented and learning to win in the NFL. I view the glass as more than half full....... of Kool Aid and I'm drinking it.
  12. Does anybody remember the last time we had a QB throw for 300 yards? I can't remember the last time, it has to have been quite awhile ago.
  13. Why EJ has overthrown every deep ball he has attempted this year...
  14. I often go to games in Miami with my brother he has an old Norwood jersey it's funny he wears that and all of the ribbing is good natured, without the jersey it can be ugly.
  15. Back in 1980 we had a chance to clinch in New England the week after Lennon was shot, we drove up to the game, the Bills got throttled think we only scored a safety that day, but to get to the point I saw a Bills fan take an all time beating there, I don't know what he did, but he was getting beat by a crowd of Pats fans haymakers coming from every direction it was really ugly....
  16. Funny I was at that game and was walking by the Dolphins bus when Bryan came out, I yelled hey Bryan and he walked right over to a bunch of Bills fans started signing autographs, he was as nice a guy as you could meet.
  17. Back in the 90's I had front row season tickets in section 115 for whatever reason there were 4 seats by me that were consistently sold to fans traveling from out of town, we always treated them good, back when you could bring a thermos make them a drink or two, met a lot of decent people. I've traveled to a lot of games and have been treated very well every place but Miami, in Miami I've been threatened had stuff thrown at me beer thrown on me they are the worst. I learned when you go to a game there, go to the bus parking lot and check with the groups from Buffalo they often have a few extra tickets strength in numbers they aren't so brave when your sitting with 50 other Bills fans. I've seen a few Bills fans take a beating down there usually when it's just a couple Bills fans stuck in a section full of fin fans.
  18. True the worst fans I've ever seen they walked out of a home AFC championship game early, walked down and sat in the front row right behind the Bills bench in the 2nd half. Saw a scalper on my way in with 2 or 3 hundred tickets willing to sell them for 5 dollars each.
  19. What a joke they want to take over our stadium I've been to multiple Bills games at all three NFL stadiums in Florida, they can't even take over their own stadiums. Bills fans travel well in Florida, went to a game in Jacksonville where the Jaguars fan sitting next to me said I can't believe this it's like a home game for you guys. Can't attend the game this Sunday, please make these guy feel as welcome as they have done for me in Miami, I've taken a lot of s#%*& down there.
  20. Mine too, but when it's a guy I absolutely despise who cares hope it costs him plenty.
  21. If you look back at the first round of the NFL draft over the course of several years there are a high % of misses or marginally servicable players that come out of the first round. Sammy Watkins was widely viewed and still is a rare talent with a very strong work ethic, which is also a rare combination with todays young athletes. My immediate reaction to the trade was negative to say the least, but after given a little time to digest the trade barring injury IMHO I believe we will all look back and applaud the day we made this deal.
  22. Interesting first time I seen that site something new to follow this year.
  23. It definitely feels like the Bills have turned the corner and are heading in the best direction they've been in years, I would be surprised if the Pegulas pulled the plug and started another rebuild without seeing where this goes first.
