  1. Just wondering, this one should be a gem. Among other BS that should pop up soon (outside of TD's roster) will be how great it will be for the NFL to take away a Bills home game and give it to Toronto. Yeah, OK.
  2. BINGO. Think coaching doesn't help.....see Charlie Weis. Think great defenses don't win games despite having no offense....see Baltimore.
  3. That is definately true Joe. But in this day and age, you can't expect people to blindly throw away money at a bad product. Going to a pro sporting event isn't cheap anymore. People don't necessarily jump off of the bandwagon, they just need to watch where to best use their money. Especially if you aren't from Buffalo. And gas. And hotel prices, parking etc. There is a couple here in Richmond, that is gonna most likely drop their season tickets next year, and it's killing them, but hey.....I can't blame them.
  4. Can't really argue all that business stuff with you. What you say all makes sense. However, I'm not gonna worry about where the team ends up. We can certainly B word though about where the current regime is taking our franchise while it's in Buffalo. And in the last 5 years, it's abysmal. Nothing has panned out the way they have drawn it up.
  5. This one is about as overused when things get tough about as much as the "It's only pre-season moron / Dooooooomed" crowd.
  6. I hope they don't move, but even more perplexing to me......how are they suddenly gonna win that Super Bowl?
  7. take Leinhart or Bush considering the strengths and weaknesses as our roster stands right now? Would you trade down? What? I'm not really thinking we'll get the #2 overall, but if we did, what would you do?
  8. I used to hate fans for jumping on the "I'm not going to anymore games bandwagon". However, with prices the way they are, so that these guys can live lavish lifestyles, your logic is more commonplace among fans. I will still go, just for the comraderie of the people around me, however, I understand why some may not be able to continue live support for monetary reasons.
  9. I say everyone goes after the year. TD, MM, TC and Gray. Let's start over completely and let the new staff build all of these young guys on offense. Kevin Everett will be back too. Time for a regime change. 5 yrs, and we have nothing to show for it. Nothing.
  10. Not much. This is about as easy as describing last years team. Last year, our team was mediocre, and made a run playing a ridiculously easy schedule down the stretch. This year, JP was average in the first game against the worst team in football (Houston). And he was awful in games 2-4. It's not harder than that really. He's a bad QB right now (doesn't mean he always will be). One word: Houston at home = JP Better or better yet Houston = RJ
  11. Exactly right. That's why I'm done with TD. Seriously, I tried. I really did. I just can't anymore. I have no faith in him. I have zero faith that our offense will ever score points more than once a game. I also have always thought our defense, while solid, is wayyyyyyyyyyy over-rated. And I'm not even saying that I didn't like or support all of his moves he has made. But this is sickening. It's painful to watch our team play. Ugh. This team has no identity. Even right down to the ghetto uniforms we now play in. Oh, TD did that one too. Decided he'd ride in give us some new god awful uniforms made of non-Bills colors. Gimme a new regime, go back to the old uni's.....1990 style or throwbacks, and let's get a new vision and outlook on this roster. Yesterday was my breaking point. God, I'm so done with T-fuggin-D.
  12. I hate this. I really do. THE DEFENSE GOT GOOD LAST YEAR WHEN THEY RAN UP THEIR STATS AGAINST THE CRAP 2ND HALF SCHEDULE WE PLAYED LAST YEAR. I don't get how that isn't easy to see. They choked with the lead vs. Jax. The choked with the late lead vs. the Jets. They were torched twice by NE. The also got their asses handed to them by Pittsburgh's backups. Gimmie a break. Our defense, which this team is supposedly built around, continually comes up short. Continually. But hey, have no fear, they ran the 9'ers, Browns, Cardinals, Cincinnati's and Miami's into the ground last year. And most of those teams, were lead by even their backup QB's. Newsflash, so did every other defense that played those teams. How did they do against the best? They were either awful or had a very good game until it was up to them to win it for us. Almost always they fail. It's sickening. So, judging by all of that, and throwing out the puke we played last year, why is this a surprise. I was actually praying someone would hire Gray last year. Praying. Schedule, schedule, schedule.
  13. I could agree with you to a point. Again, this team is supposedly built around this great defense. This is TD's plan. This great defense continually lets this team down when it has a chance to bury good teams. Houston sucks. Tampa Bay is the worst offensive 4-0 team maybe in the history of football. Atlanta manhandled our run defense. And the Saints torched them on almost every important 3rd down. And the reason alot of our scores are lower, is because both the Bills and their opponents are running the ball so much, the clock is always running.
  14. Actually Lundquist is the guy that made me make this post. Afer listening to him on Saturday....I was thinking to myself, how much better are these college football tandems over their NFL counterparts. The other college football guys you have named are all good. IMO, it's no comparison.
  15. IMO, that's what makes all the more difficult to swallow. We are horrible, and the games are still winnable. How sickening is that?
  16. While you are right....the offense contributes to their being on the field so long, they also had plenty of chances to get their asses off the field on 3rd downs too. This happened all through the game, not just the 4th quarter. See "The Baltimore" plan.
  17. Yeah, local guys are usually good. But I mean the national guys. All of the major networks, IMO, have better teams doing college games, than NFL games.
  18. Some of us even got grilled for not drinking the Kool-Aid and believing that the Bills were only decent last year because of their schedule. Hmmm.
  19. I'm just curious about asking all of you this question. While watching games this weekend, does anyone else think the college announcer teams are better than the pro announcing teams? I mean seriously. Some of the NFL tandems absolutely suck. From boring play by play, to horrible color analysis, to them always talking about dumb non-related football things. But, when I listen to alot of college football games, it seems the play by play guys are a ton better. Also, the color analysts in college seem more in tune to the game itself and provide better analysis and insight into college football as a whole than do NFL guys for their sport. I don't know, but I don't have a problem with many college broadcasts, but some of these boobs in the NFL suck.
  20. I also, moreso agree with you than the previous poster, but I'll go one step further. This defense was never as good as advertised. Great defense? Never. Opportunistic? Very. This defense and it's gaudy stats last year were a product of their schedule. They totally shut down god awful offenses to run up impressive numbers. Doesn't mean they weren't a good defense, but simply mis-leading. A great defense doesn't choke away leads like they did last year against the Jets and Jags, while totally pretty much sucking twice vs. NE and the last game vs Pitt. Only the Kool-Aid drinkers didn't realize that while this is a very capable defense, it was never a "great one".
  21. You could also say this. We have pretty much sucked under Tom Donahoe. And the one year we had a winning record (last year) the offense and DEFENSE both padded their stats against a GOD AWFUL (beneficial to the Bills) schedule last year. While I agree, if we play perfect, we can beat the Phins and Jets....there will be no turnaround this year. It's not nearly as easy a schedule, which was the primary reason for last years turnaround.
  22. LOL, I hear ya. I tried that angle too, but I am so pissed off that I went out and bought the Thurman Thomas replithenic, and plan to just relive the glory days when #34 joins the wall on Sunday.
  23. How dare you say pre-season counts for anything. After all, according to the experts here, the Bills don't ever try in pre-season. They don't run routes, they don't try to complete passes, or even block. Pre-season indicates nothing, it's all vanilla....you should know that. Remember these..... "Hey, relax moron, it's only pre-season" and the 150 different variations of it?
  24. OK, you're right. I'll bow to you now. Peters didn't garner any unrealistic attention on this board. OK, whatever you say. Good Luck.
