And it gave them multiple shots at the end zone! there’s also a “read the room” aspect of this. It’s 3-3 and our O is freaking terrible, be happy with going into half tied or down 3.

Hook defender would be the CB who is covering the WR on a (button) hook route (sometimes called a curl). If the defender is on the right side of the WR, the QB should throw it to the left side of the WR - ie away from the defender. a Dig route is like a deep in. Say 12-15 yards. It’s a dangerous throw over the middle so, a qb might throw the ball low, so his WR has to slide to catch it, and this not get smashed. I think with Hairston and strong we are fine at CB. Hendrickson is interesting, when Burrow went down, Bengals season ended. Hendrickson is on a one year deal where they can’t franchise him I believe. So, what’s he worth? Could the bengals eat some salary as part of the deal? Just some thoughts that came to me.

A WR with his skillset would make our O absolutely unstoppable.
