All I know is a few of the drought teams went 5-0, 4-1 to start the season.... just to crush our spirits later in the season. The fish win was more if a Bills loss than a fins win. They all are improved, and records rarely matter in divisional games. This team is special and baring injuries, should run the East.

I am a older fan too, I think maybe a few younger than you. My Dad is 76 (proudly wears his Kemp jersey) and he is is total Zen during games. I am still slight anxious; but in our youths we would scream and yell and and take losses way too personally. I think time mellows you a bit, and going through so much loss in the 4 falls of Buffalo and the dreaded drought years you don't expect the team to win. What happened on Sunday is a microcosm of many a drought game. We would get ahead late in a game, only to see the other team march down the field against our anemic defense to get the winning score. Or The Bills would be marching down the field and one of the many care-taker QBs would throw the inevitable Int. This team is special and the feels of family they have build are real. This game was just a game on the schedule - prior playoff loses makes this game bigger, not forgetting the Chiefs are a good team. Bills are the belle of the ball and every team is going to get up to play them. The team has to keep the mantra of McD - hungry and humble and focus on whos next. Bye week comes at a nice place and the boys can go into it with a well earned smile.

The team is become Brady patriot esk. Back during the drought there were some close games... until they weren't. Sure 17-7 at the half, Titans getting the ball and the Titans mark thinking with a quick TD it's a 3 point game. This year, the Bill's aren't taking their foot off of the gas. They smell blood and play harder. And when you send in the 2nd team during garbage time, they play hard. What dreams may come, but this is a special team that is immensely likeable, unlike the Brady patsy teams.
