That is correct. January 27, 1991 was the most painful day of my life. 13 seconds was painful at about a level of 4/10. Super Bowl XXV was 10/10, maybe higher. I don't consider myself a "joyless" fan just because I'm not falling all over myself to congratulate a coach on his regular season winning percentage. For me it's all about super bowls. Just give us one and I can die in peace.

McDermott is a fine coach. But IMO ultimately everyone is judged on their postseason record. I'd rather win than lose in the regular season, and you can't make the playoffs without doing well in the regular season. But let me know when one of McDermott's game plans goes to Canton (to join Bellichick's from Super Bowl XXV). 13 seconds is approximately the inverse of that. I don't hate the man, I hope he takes the Bills to the promised land asap, I'm just being realistic.

For whatever reason the Bills have always had trouble with Jacksonville. I remember Tony Boselli absolutely shutting down Bruce Smith back in the mid 90s, especially in a playoff game. So I'm glad this will be at home on MNF for the maximum Buffalo energy and atmosphere. The OL has to play it's best.

I was as big a Von pessimist as anyone since his injury. He obviously should not have been out there last season. However last night what he did was very encouraging. I say keep his snap count low. Just use him on fairly obvious passing downs. If he can do the fast twitch stuff he is a real asset. Then later in the year or hopefully the playoffs use him as much as needed.

I think the Bills can move the ball on Miami. Just need to avoid the slow starts. Seems obvious Defense in the key - confuse / slow down Tua with pre-snap looks and make him uncomfortable with pressure. The middle of our defense is the big variable: LBs, slot CB and safeties. It could be ugly but I'm hoping for the best.

Bills 26 Fins 24 Bass misses an extra point but hits a FG to pull it out. Won't be too surprised if we get smoked for once with the speed and humidity.

Hamlin is a major concern for me. I really thought he wouldn't even make the roster. The last time he actually was playing defense, he was not great in coverage and poor in run support. Safety is your last line of defense on runs and often have to make some plays near the LOS. He wasn't up to it last I saw him. To me, he's one of those guys like Cody Ford, when he is on the field bad things happen.
