  1. This is exactly what will happen. Ironically the bills still benefit from it. Anybody is better than von right now but we are kind of forced to play a $100 million dollar man.
  2. Right and if you cut him in 2026 it's $9MM in dead cap space , so I fail to see how this is essentially a "3 year contract " when the contract started in 2022.
  3. Can someone explain this to me? I keep seeing people post that his contract is basically 3 years but then I look on sports sportstrac and they reference the below. It's not that I don't believe you I'm genuinely trying to get a handle on how screwed we are. dead money 2024- 32m- cap savings 8.6m dead money 2025- 15m -cap savings 8.4m dead money 2026 -9m - cap savings 17m dead money 2027 - 2.7m cap savings 30m
  4. Hypothetical Question: Let's say von miller approached his GF and said "hey can you recant what you said... I'll give you a million dollars" Can the bills approach the GF and counter ? "Hey we will give you $5 million ! To keep your initial story and press charges" I think paying $5 million would be a great deal to get vons contract off the books 🤷‍♂️
  5. I don't think the bills will release him. Correct me if I'm wrong but our cap hit will be even more if we release him. And then there's the possibility that some afc contender picks him up for cheap. I don't think he'll play over the next two years but I also don't think they'll cut him.
  6. Well said Why do so many people keep posting this? Plenty of people weren't happy with the signing the day it happened. A 32 year old injury prone defensive end signing a $100+ million dollar contract did not look like a good idea at the time.
  7. You sound like one of those internet warriors . Relax. His wife had minor bruises, didn't go to the hospital and now is backtracking her story and saying the media blew it out of proportion. I'm not arguing that the guy sucks at football and doesn't seem to be a great person outside of it either. Simply asked a question of whether he's hall of fame worthy.
  8. Prior to this season Von Miller was a unanimous lock for the hall of fame. I mean it seemed so far fetched that he wouldn't make it... now ? What do you guys think ? A whole season with no sacks 1 tackle and no effort and now this .... does he still make it?
  9. Are you saying the guy I quoted here is wrong? So after 3 years we can get out with no dead cap space ?
  10. Yes you absolutely can blame Brandon beane for signing a 32 year old defensive lineman to a 6 yr. $114MM contract . He was coming off a major injury just a year prior. It was a terrible signing.
  11. I'm not sure I'm ready to bring a new kicker in this late in the season but next year it definitely needs to be evaluated. The issue is that he's the 5th highest paid kicker . I believe he has a $7MM dead money hit if we release him next year.
  12. Obv McDermott needs to go, cook needs to stop making costly mistakes, and the defense collapsed yet again, but lost in all of this is Tyler Bass and the poor season he is slowly putting together and our punter: Bass is 28th/32 in FG % And Our punter is 31st/32 in punt avg. and net avg. Is the special teams coordinator the next scapegoat ?
  13. I wouldn't consider miami one of the bigger markets, that's reserved for NYC, Philadelphia, San Francisco. Dallas etc.. Anyways, I agree it's ridiculous how much the media gets on josh for turnovers when all these other qbs get a pass. Even mahommes has started to turn the ball over. If the bills win the next two games with Josh playing well I think he would be the front runner for mvp. Or at the very least he will be ahead of mahommes and hurts.
  14. You really have to love the way kansas city lost. Feels like one of the many epic bills collapses. I know how their fans must feel tonight.
  15. 95% of people in here thought it was a good move... turns out it was. Great!
  16. Bills are going to be half game a game from divison lead by the end of the day.
  17. Is it luck with the chiefs or do they legitimately have some sort of ancient Chinese medical secret to staying healthy?
  18. That was one of the worst PI calls I've ever seen. I like the fact that herbstreet will call it out. Change the rule to : "no grabbing by either play prior to the ball arriving" tug on jersey= automatic penalty. Yes it's much harder for the defense now but now defensive PIs become less subjective and the nfl wants more scoring anyways.
  19. I've been saying diggs needs to go since the offseason, but unfortunately the way his contract is set up we would take on a ridiculous amount of dead cap space if we traded him. But yeah I'd rather have a 1st rd stud WR vs. Diggs (assuming we could trade diggs for a 1st rder)
  20. I agree he has changed. Seems a little grumpier in his older age
  21. A few years back? It's been 15 years! Time really flies when you aren't winning superbowls
  22. Absolutely insane to me that having 12 men on the field during the final kick was the nail in the coffin for Dorsey. If we squeak out a win , dorsey isn't fired and we are probably stuck with him for the rest of the year. Losing that game may have been the best thing that could have happened to this franchise. Is this the turning point?
