  1. I’d take Evans 30 mins out of surgery and still trying to shake the anesthesia over anyone currently in our WR room
  2. I’m just wondering as a lifelong bills fan if I need to get ready to move back down to the basement of the afc east. The pats seem to be dominating absolutely everything right now while the bills continue to implode. Allen’s generational talent covered the warts of this organization for years but you can only absolutely blow so many draft picks before even someone with Josh’s talent level can no longer carry you. There’s not a whole lot to work with but the decisions made before the trade deadline will truly indicate the front offices feelings on this season and the next few seasons to come. I’m pulling hard for McClapper and the Beane but don’t have a lot of faith
  3. The question is, will they get him and the defense some kind of help prior to the deadline or are they content just sending him out every Sunday with his Superman cape and telling him to handle it and trusting him to score enough points to bail out the D. The cap situation makes things hard to do too much but teams have gotten far more creative with far less if they legit believe they’re in a Super Bowl window. What takes place between now and the end of the trade deadline will say a lot about how committed they are to winning this year.
  4. Can never hate too much on McClaps and the Beane as they pulled us out of the dark years. Having said that, their time has come and gone. Years and years now of horrible draft picks, getting easily outcoached and out schemed when it matters most and now an inability to put a competitive team on the field. Time to go. Just hate they took so many of Josh’s prime years in the process. Hoping whoever comes in understands you can’t simply march 17 out there and expect him to carry you through every situation with zero support
  5. I was absolutely shredded at the beginning of the year for saying the defense took a huge step back and Josh would have to score 40+ a game to keep winning. Hoecht and Ogunjobi were supposed to come in and somehow shed their career mediocrity to save a poor run fit defense. Now we can all agree, this is a .500 team who might luck up in some tight games and slip into a wild card slot. At least those of us who have been following the team even through the dark years are used to spending the season looking up at the pats.
  6. Guess it won’t be so bad going back to the basement of the AFC. We spent almost 30 years there so at least they know us
  7. If last Sunday was everyone eating, Joe Brady must spend his off seasons in Sudan
  8. Early reports are confirming that Babich and his defensive assistants will devote most of the week to trying to convince Rapp, Bishop, White and Benford that the players in the other jerseys catching the ball is a bad thing. Also in the news, as a nod to the painfully obvious, the interior d line will be taught strategic fall placement in hopes of potentially creating a tripping hazard as all efforts to actually tackle an opponents running back have proven futile.
  9. Forget whiteout! Anyone who didn’t want to get blackout after this one wasn’t watching close enough
  10. Significant moves have to be made on the defensive side of the ball ASAP. Where’s po? You can’t tell me he’s not better than what we have out there right now. His leadership and game experience eclipse anything we currently have back there. Feel like Brady got way too cute when he should’ve went with tried and true plays. Every team has a handful of plays saved for those kind of situations and I doubt a jet sweep to your tight end is one of them. We’ve been in survival mode against far weaker opponents the last few weeks and this time it bit us. Not trying to go full on sky is falling mode here but getting some serious PTSD about having to move back into the studio apartment in the basement of the afc east that the pats kept us in for about 2 decades
  11. Someone please tell me what I’m missing with Hoecht and Ogunjobi. In almost everything I’m seeing/hearing, the grand consensus is we’ll be just fine when they get off suspension but the small sample size I’ve seen out of each hasn’t shown anything special at all. Mid tier DL who have bounced around a bit supposed to save a defense that can’t tackle, can’t play the run and hasn’t been great in pass coverage? I got absolutely torn to shreds for saying it in the preseason but this will be yet another season Josh has to score 40+ a game to beat legit contenders. 4-0 is great in the NFL and I’m not complaining but a porous defense and questionable play calling on offense doesn’t bode well for late in the year.
  12. Where’s Poyer? You cannot tell me he’s not better than what’s back there right now. If Rattler would’ve been able to make even the simplest of throws, he’d have went for 350+. And that D line??? The defense in the beer line after the end of the 3rd was far and away the best played anywhere in highmark today. Cant be too disappointed at 4-0 but man they looked bad
  13. Should have a promotional ticket deal for the last year at highmark for 50% off ticket price for any fans alive the last time the bills could stop the run
  14. Doesn’t look like anyone told the saints they were supposed to get blown out.
  15. No doubt the chiefs will be in the thick of things come playoff time but I did take wayyy too much pleasure in how upset THEIR fans got on a missed call yesterday. The reality of the national football league hits much harder when your team doesn’t have a 12th man on the field wearing an officiating uniform
