  1. Someone please tell me what I’m missing. We sign a dude that has seen walking papers from a handful of NFL teams already and some are reacting like we just inked myles garrets long lost twin. I watched the highlight clip linked and still am not sure I understand the hype. Feels like Beane shaking the bottom of the barrel to get some heat off of him or maybe I’m crazy and 31 other teams just blew the opportunity
  2. Can he catch passes?
  3. Not saying it has nothing to do with adjusting to married life or doing too many commercials or whatever else the narratives are but this is the worst supporting cast josh has ever had around him. In the past he’s had to put on the cape at certain times, this year, putting on the cape and making other worldly plays was the game plan starting in training camp. The weight of the entire organization and fan base is squarely on his shoulders and it’s starting to show. Beane has had multiple opportunities, trade deadline and otherwise to get him some kind of help but simply reverts back to talk against “mortgaging our future” and yelling at radio hosts. As much as I’ve loved every second of #17 in a bills uniform, I wouldn’t blame him one bit for wanting out.
  4. Whoever it is, make sure they are not satisfied by simply reaching the playoffs. Get rid of “playoff caliber” and bring in “championship or bust”
  5. Was mainly thinking chief and patriot but go with it
  6. I haven’t seen a beating like the bills took Sunday since my mother caught me smoking behind our barn. My jaw still clicks from time to time
  7. Think this was bad, should’ve seen what he did to our heavily favored team
  8. I don’t pretend to understand all the acrobatics involved in managing the cap but I do hear Brandon Beane mention “mortgaging our future” at lease 8 times every single time he speaks publicly. With a once in a generation talent under center who will be turning 30 soon, what’s wrong with taking a bit of a risk and seeing if we might be able to stop a run or catch a pass for over 5 yds? I can’t imagine we’ll be so incredibly happy we held onto some pick way down the road that it will negate waisting Josh’s prime years with the atrocious roster we currently have stacked around him.
  9. Speed isn’t that much of a factor when 90% of your pass plays involve routes that never make it more than 3 yds past line of scrimmage.
  10. Once Joe Brady figures out it’s totally legal to throw passes over 3 yds, skies the limit!!
  11. Does this mean the organization is abandoning the preference for slow, un athletic wrs who have poor catch radius’ and play with subpar effort?
  12. Not making excuses for Coleman or shakir but not many wr1s getting fired up for 3 yd outs these days. Brady acts like Allen doesn’t have the strongest arm in the league and tries to run the old Roethlisberger dink and dunk offense for a yard and a half at a time. You have to take a few deep shots a game if for nothing else, it keeps the defense honest. Doesn’t excuse Coleman’s poor effort though
  13. Sure wish I worked a job where I got credit for things I almost got done. Hope everyone can feel good about this when Josh continues taking coverage sacks and a bottom tier offense goes for another 30 plus on us
  14. Just finished listening to the OBL Monday recap. I understand that Chris and Steve don’t speak directly for the organization but I think they have a pretty good pulse on the situation and hearing them go on for 10 mins about how fans should feel lucky that the team has made the playoffs for the past few seasons pretty sums up the suspicions I had about the entire organization. “Playoff caliber” mindset is resulting in being completely content getting that one or two post season opportunities and packing it in. I must admit, after the drought, I too was so happy just getting the opportunity to play in the post season that I overlooked several glaring issues with the program. Now, we’re simply waisting a once in a generation under center while Beane waxes poetic about not “mortgaging our future.” If a playoff berth is good enough, why play the game?
