So palmer will be asked to do exactly what they would have asked metcalf to do in this offense. Only he is going to do it at 12 a year for 3 years instead of 30 a year for 5 years. Also palmer I believe is a good locker room guy.

The jags signed Safety eric murray, 3 for 22.5 I assume to replace Andre Cisco. If the Bills could snag cisco and stick him at free safety at 1 for 6 or something I think that would be a great vet signing.

why would two guys clinging to their jobs by the thinnest of margins trade the best player on their roster? The last thing they need is to watch another one of their players go be successful somewhere else after last seasons hard knocks disaster.

I think the Defensive line is going to get the treatment the offensive line got a few years ago. one or two proven veterans, mid level guys...a connor mcgovern for the Dline if you will and then they will draft 2 or 3 Dlineman in the draft however it plays out that fits the best at their spots, end or tackle. I think the big money and maybe the first round pick is going to the secondary. They have 6 corners currently and I imagine they move elam, so maybe draft and sign a corner. I personally think they need a free safety and let rapp and bishop fight out the ss spot. Mid level safety like Andre Cisco on a short team friendly deal. We will know what they think the positions that they feel they will have a shot at in the first and second round I think by who they show interest in starting this week in free agency. I for one won't be shocked to see them sign a corner and a Defensive lineman first.

DK Metcalf deal never materialized for Packers I'm told the Packers never made an offer to the Seahawks for DK Metcalf, contrary to multiple reports. Brian Gutekunst and John Schneider are good friends from their time together in Green Bay, but a deal between the two for Metcalf was never a realistic possibility.

How does cincy now pay higgins and chase after that metcalf deal? it seems like they will have a serious issue here.

most importantly, he is a great locker room guy and is all about the team. He is a perfect fit. I hope they work out a 3 yer deal with him. He can maximize the targets he gets with his speed and wont complain when he is not the main guy, which he wont be. Meanwhile, when the steelers lose 17-9 at baltimore in december I am not so sure it will be a nice locker room to be in.

I just read that Hendrickson turned down an offer from Cincy that was between 30 and 32 million. Who is going to trade for him when he wants that kind of money? What kind of draft pick could they even ask for in this situation?
