  1. Actually, yes, I was aware of that. Damn you, President Bush, for getting things done so quickly! Yes, there you go, keep using the word "vacation" over and over and over. There's no such thing when you're the President of the United States. He's at work whether he's in Texas or in D.C. You must be pretty desperate to be rolling out the Bush/Katrina myths this many years on.
  2. Wouldn't completing the "new US/Poland missle defense deal" prove that Bush is doing more than slacking? And why are you still trying to sell the absurd notion that President Bush isn't capable of working when he's at his house in Texas?
  3. Not necessarily stupid; he could just be lying about the POTUS being "on vacation" to help make his point. I'm not sure that's actually preferable. Stupid? Disingenuous? Maybe both? Thank you, PastaJoe, for bringing this here.
  4. On some perverse level, I can almost appreciate how excited you are about repeating every liberal talking point imaginable. I, too, would love to live in a world where all complex thought could be cast aside in favor of simple talking points. Been a while since anyone played the "Hurricane Katrina was because of Bush" card.
  5. You mean the guy who got back to the States and accused his fellow troops of war crimes to help get his political career started?
  6. Then there's the little matter of how the POTUS is NEVER "on vacation." He's working whether he's in Crawford or D.C. Ironically, pretending that Bush is "on vacation" is in itself a shallow, liberal talking point. Nice to see Jack Cafferty maintaining a consistent level of quality in his work. Of course, this crap is linked on the front page of CNN.com.
  7. Every time people try to tell me that Buffalo is "turning around", they point to a bunch of projects that are too small to even be noticed in cities that are larger or just growing faster.
  8. Was he trying to say that McCain must have cheated at the town hall meeting on Saturday? Andrea Mitchell was saying that (on behalf of the Obama campaign) on NBC on Sunday. Apparently, the only way for McCain to have done so well is by having the questions in advance. At what point does NBC News get embarassed about having paranoid, transparent Obama supporters running their "news" channel?
  9. "Washington Outsider" Nancy Pelosi has finally set the record straight about Obama's religious background. Link I might actually have to consider voting for the guy if God sent him.
  10. He probably just did that because he was being an idiot, but it'll make it easier for him to break his own record the next time he races. It'd be amazing if he let up because he "only" wanted to win the gold medal this time and wasn't worried about the world record that he'll be setting and re-setting for the next few years.
  11. Oh really? Go ahead and find the post where I did that, smart guy. Find the specific posts where I give my thoughts on why Edwards did it and what his marriage was like. Or how he feels about his wife. Take your time.
  12. Not physically attractive? Oh, you mean "mangled" right? No, I don't presume to know why John McCain's marriage fell apart. A lot of people stay together after the physical appeal is gone and a lot of people cheat even when their partner is very attractive. I don't know how much of a factor it was, let alone if it was *the* factor. It doesn't even matter; It's unappealing no matter how you look at it. So I won't pretend to know exactly what happened 30 years ago and I wouldn't call other human beings "mangled." You do what you want, though. Anything to help the party.
  13. He's less of a scumbag because he didn't make a life for himself by chasing ambulances and promoting class warfare as a politician. McCain's personal life from 30 years ago is very ugly, but even that isn't as bad as the disaster Edwards made for himself while simultaneously trying to become President of the United Staes. And, yeah, really sorry I had to point out that calling a woman "mangled" (and implying she was too "mangled" for her husband to stay with her) while pretending to care about her is low class.
  14. No, it's low to say he left her because she was "mangled." Or to imply at all that you know how or why their marriage fell apart. Trying to score points screaming about how John McCain wasn't loyal to his "mangled" wife 30 years ago (while, at the same time, pretending to care about that "mangled" woman) is pathetic.
  15. Describing another human being as "mangled" is an insult whether you understand that or not. Not having the decency to understand that a marraige can fall apart when two spouses are forced apart for over 5 years (during which time he is tortured in the jungle for 5 years and she is in a severe accident) is fairly pathetic too. Coming back from war and readjusting to normal life is hard even when you're not a former POW. Try to come up with the hardest thing you've ever overcome in your life and tell me if that even comes close to what McCain and his wife went through. Marraiges fall apart under way less strain than that. Leaving your wife is never a good thing and I hate this part of McCain's bio, but exploiting this situation to make a point is just low.
  16. What a classy guy you are. Is there anything you won't say or any situation you won't exploit to score political points? I'm sure if I was injured in a car crash, I'd love for someone to term me "mangled" decades later.
  17. For the 1000th time, no one....in the history of the world.......has ever advocated not having properly inflated tires. So when Obama or his supporters say "now John McCain agrees", that's completely disingenuous. Second, no matter how much you fudge the numbers, properly inflated tires do not make up for "all the oil" that people want to drill for in American territory. Not even if you make the absurd assumption that every single car in the United States has deflated tires.
  18. Larry King gives the ultimate softball, fluff interviews. You know you've said something extremely ridiculous when even he calls you on it.
  19. Really? You can't think of any Obama gaffes over the past few months once he's not reading a script? You don't remember anything about "bitter people" clinging to "guns and religion"? Or how properly inflated tires equates to "all the oil" that could be drilled? How about his bizarre answer when a 7 year old asked him why he wanted to be president last week? Face it, if Obama wasn't a pretty face and a good speech reader, he'd be nowhere near where he is today. Half a term as a U.S. Senator and a few years as a "community organizer" don't really make you fit to lead the free world. Lucky for him, he's young and exciting (if you're a moron) so we should all paint pictures of him and adopt a new "O" hand symbol when he speaks. It's hilarious that after 8 years of calling Bush stupid, your party nominated a charismatic airhead of their own and you're really excited. It's different when it's your party, right? Also extremely ironic that you're saying I judge Obama based on his appearance. Haven't you spent years on this board talking about "Republican hair"? Good job piling up the irony.
  20. Sure you don't. You just wasted 8 years of your life blaming him for all the problems in the world because he's just like a little doggy to you.
  21. Yeah, either that or he doesn't like the fact that Russia has invaded a democratic nation and one of our allies. It's amazing that your hatred of Bush is the overwhelming force behind every idea you have.
  22. It's ironic that you're complaining about Paris Hilton and George Bush (the "moron") when your party's solution to our problems is nominating a handsome young guy who is completely lost without his teleprompter.
  23. Why should anyone emphasize with just one group? I don't know what the best thing that ever happened to me was, but being born in the United States of America has to be right up there. The rest of the world.......yikes.
  24. That's the best laugh I've had all day.
