  1. The Yankees and Red Sox are less interesting when they're battling for second place.
  2. I don't disagree that a lot of mistakes were made in planning the war (most notably, what to do after Saddam's government fell apart) but I'm not 100% convinced the surge would have had the same effect had it been implemented right from the start. I'm skeptical about how much of the country would have been willing to work with coalition forces the same way back in 2003. I seriously doubt that. 100 years from now, when people are subjected to the daily "Bush is dumb" jokes or the loons who think he started a war in Iraq to help his friends make money, he'll probably seem like a much better president than what his approval ratings now would indicate. Or, at least, he has that potential.
  3. I don't blame W for trading Sosa since Sosa was a nobody until he got a little help from steroids.
  4. Yeah, my "rebuttal" to your classic "Try Google. All the kids are using it." I just thought it was funny that you told me to use Google when you don't even bother to find out how to spell the topics you want to talk about on this board.
  5. Yeah, and many people out there don't know the difference between "there", "their", and "they're". (Or in some cases, "to" and "too".) That doesn't make it OK, or make them any less wrong.
  6. So even though the website is ANWR.org, a Forbes article linked on that website with a few typos makes you think that "ANWAR" is the proper spelling?
  7. His proof that ANWR should be "ANWAR" is that other people have also screwed it up.
  8. Yes, the best I have to respond to your posts is to bring up your posts. Apparently google.com is "to tough" for me.
  9. I just tried to Google "ANWAR" and all I got were your posts on it.
  10. Because the arguments on your side are so convincing? Like the part about how Horn was a racist who "couldn't wait" to kill a "colored" person? Or the part about how he called 911 to get approval to do what he did? Or the part about how he couldn't possibly have been scared seeing two men breaking into a home in his neighborhood? Or the part about how once he stepped outside his house, it couldn't have possibly gone down the way he said it did? Or (Stojan's new favorite) that he said "They're getting away!" to the 911 operator and therefore must have wanted to kill people that day? And, BTW, I don't have to argue that he did the smartest thing in this situation. He didn't. It would have been safer (for him) to do nothing. But I do know that home invasions are deadly serious and I understand why he wanted to confront those two men. And I don't think he deserves to be in jail for what ended up happening. He confronted two criminals in the middle of commiting a crime and they ended up dead. I'm not losing any sleep over this.
  11. Except it's not his post. It's a blog entry that he sorta re-wrote as his own with the link at the bottom.
  12. So he wanted a transcript of the 911 operator telling him not to get involved before he finally decided to get involved? Yeah, makes perfect sense.
  13. If he wanted to shoot someone, why call 911 at all? Wouldn't it be easier to just walk outside with your gun and start shooting? There's no way you call 911 and the operator gives you the green light to go outside with your gun.
  14. He was also itching to live in a neighborhood where people break into houses too, right?
  15. Do you or do you not think that seeing people breaking into your neighbor's house is a scary thing? No doubt in my mind that Horn, or anyone, would be frightened by that. If he was intent on anything, it was stopping them because living in a neighborhood where men can just break into homes at will is not a good thing. And if it went down the way he said it did after he went outside, then he has nothing to feel bad about. If all he wanted to do was kill someone that day, why did he bother calling 911 at all or debating with the operator about what to do?
  16. What? But I thought Horn was just a racist, cold-blooded killer who "couldn't wait" to gun down some illegals. And that the only reason he got away with it was that all the rednecks in Texas were equally excited about killing colored people. You mean to tell me there's more to it??
  17. If your means of survival is breaking and entering into people's homes, then you're a parasite. Good luck finding comfort in the thought that the people whose homes are being violated might not be "honest." What would you say is dishonest about them? That they were lucky enough not to be home when the criminals broke in? We do know with 100% certainty that Joe Horn shot two men and that those two men were criminals who were breaking into someone's home to steal from them. That information is 100% certain. Saying that Joe Horn is just some racist who "couldn't wait" to kill a brown-skinned person and calling that 100% certain is complete nonsense.
  18. There's "no question" he "couldn't wait" to kill a non-white person?? Really? That's incredible that you're 100% certain that that was his intention. I love how no one acknowledges just how frightening it must be to be a senior citizen living in a neighborhood where two men can break into a home in the middle of the day and the police, even if they're alerted, can't do anything about it. Of course that's scary! Imagine if they'd picked his house. I also really appreciate the outpouring of support for two criminals, a couple of parasites who preyed on honest people. Once you're breaking and entering into people's homes, I really don't care if you end up dead. What if it was a college kid? Also don't care.
  19. Lisa Lampanelli continues to prove how mean she is by not dying. Seriously, Lisa, any day now would be great.
  20. They're also his favorite teams. Don't question how much of a fan he is.
  21. I'm prepared to look the other way on that. Imagine talking baseball to the other two guys. McCain would punch me in the face if I pointed out that the DBacks aren't that good and Obama would say something weird about how he always loved the Yankees but was really happy to see the Red Sox win the World Series because they're both his favorite team.
  22. I'd definitely invite W to my barbeque over McCain or Obama. We could talk about baseball and he could bring his daughters.
  23. Your posts stand out. With Molson gone, there are few people making such retarded statements. Yes, you should focus on the fact that McCain was present for the Forrestal accident and was injured there as part of an incident that killed 134 sailors and threatened to sink an aircraft carrier. That really makes him look like a "fraud" and I'm sure it would make most people think less of him. (Nice Tim Russert avatar and signature, by the way. I'm sure saying stuff like "McFilthy" and "McDouche" would really have earned you his respect.)
  24. Yeah, you scored some serious points the last time you tried the "trophy wife" thing on this board. Link "McFilthy lovers"? Gosh, thank you for sharing your insight and razor sharp wit with us all.
  25. Brad, why the hell haven't you gotten back to me about letting me work with you at the station? I'm totally ready to be your call screener. I don't have any experience in radio but I'm pretty sure I'd know what to do. Anyways, if you'd quit being such a jerk about it, then I know it'd be a cool job to have. Let me know.
