Musk is already weighing in on military operations: “fighter jets are outdated and will just get pilots killed” https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/musk-to-receive-top-secret-briefing-on-us-war-plans-for-china/ar-AA1Bm0bb He has weighed in recently on defense acquisitions, calling on the Pentagon to stop buying Lockheed Martin’s F-35 fighter jets and to shift to a large fleet of drones. “Manned fighter jets are obsolete in the age of drones anyway,” he posted to X, his social-media site, in November. “Will just get pilots killed.” Lockheed Martin owns half of a rocket company that is one of SpaceX’s biggest competitors in space launch. nah, no conflict of interest

Just to check, are you now claiming that you worked at the Pentagon? Just the way it is written it is unclear. No. Nor do I pretend to know how the top of the military functions. But common sense demands that there be some basic plan for defending against or attacking or adversaries. The article mentions 20-30 slides which presumably would be dumbed down so that even trump could understand

did you work in the pentagon? Were you privy to "OP's" at this level? Do you believe such a plan including potential Chinese targets exists today? Because I do... Not a fan of Bannon, but if he's correct this would mean our country is for sale. https://www.newsweek.com/white-house-bannon-musk-chinese-communist-1787088. Actually, there's plenty of evidence without this but it its the coup de grace.

Pentagon war plans, known in military jargon as O-plans or operational plans, are among the military’s most closely guarded secrets. If a foreign country were to learn how the United States planned to fight a war against them, it could reinforce its defenses and address its weaknesses, making the plans far less likely to succeed. The top-secret briefing that exists for the China war plan has about 20 to 30 slides that lay out how the United States would fight such a conflict. It covers the plan beginning with the indications and warning of a threat from China to various options on what Chinese targets to hit, over what time period, that would be presented to Mr. Trump for decisions, according to officials with knowledge of the plan. So you are denying the existence of such pentagon plans? It's also pretty telling that the WSJ printed aa similar story to the NYT. The market is not going to react well. Musk has so many conflicts of interests it makes your head spin. And trump sets up a dealership at the white house while Lutnick tells people Tesla stock is a great investment. https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/companies/lutnick-s-pitch-to-buy-tesla-stock-is-unprecedented-and-alarming-historians-say/ar-AA1BldAd THIS IS NOT NORMAL! https://jfsc.ndu.edu/Portals/72/Documents/JC2IOS/DOPC/JP 5_0 Joint Planning.pdf

The benefit is that trump supports it. The cult buys anything he sells, even when they’re getting ripped off. -

Ladies and Gentlemen, Lisa Murkowski, brave defender of democracy https://thehill.com/homenews/senate/5203747-lisa-murkowski-senate-republicans-trump-musk/ “I’m going to have to figure out where I can work with him, and I’m going to have to stiffen my spine and take the slings and arrows when people say, ‘Why aren’t you a better Republican? And if not, get out of the party?’” she said. “Until Alaskans tell me, ‘Lisa — it’s just not working anymore,’ I am going to give you every last breath that I have, and I am going to try to solve every last little problem.” “I’m not going to compromise my own integrity by hiding from my words when I feel they need to be spoken. I’m going to take the criticism that comes,” Murkowski continued. “It may be that Elon Musk has decided that he’s going to take the next billion dollars that he makes off of Starlink and put it directly against Lisa Murkowski, and you know what? That may happen.” -

that is rare as hens teeth. Dealer service generally sucks. I have no desire to ever have a tesla. I'm good with our current vehicles but I'll watch the trade in prices. my wife hates my current car and to be honest, the rough ride is getting tiresome. -

I'm guessing g you have an EV because any other car is going to need parts and repair. Mark Zandi called it "recession by design" today. He's not wrong. But what's the end game? Who will be happy about this? Perhaps China? Maybe Russia? Who else? -
Did the value of the eggs outweigh the cost of the vet or did you just kill the cat? Neither young nor urban but other than that, I’m a yuppy 😎

they've got something(s) on him. It will come out eventually and he will be viewed thru the lens of history as a traitor. Not that he'll care. -

they've taken 11% of Ukraine's land after 3 years despite having a much bigger military machine. If the US went all in for Ukraine, it would be even. But trump will not, making the "upper hand" a self fulfilling prophecy. -

Another red state targeted. Nashville is fairly moderate but the rest of the state is not. I think Canadians will forgo visiting the smokies and graceland for national pride... https://thehill.com/regulation/transportation/5201371-canadian-airline-cancels-flights-to-tennessee/ -

fortunately, it's not up to you. Europe sees an existential threat. Putin is an immoral madman. trump's negotiations are useless. russia doesn't hold all the cards. They've shown their military weakness again. They have nukes but so do many countries. if we went back to Reagan era policies and attitudes against russia, we could grind them down to near irrelevance especially if we could subvert putin. That would be worth trillions over a decade. they've clearly had some success in subverting our democracy. time to fight back but we'll have to wait til comrade trump dies or leaves. -

Trump has already lost. He’s shown his impotence and subservience to Putin. Europe will step up financially. If there is a peace treaty we should militarily guarantee it.
