  1. I ahem no idea about his innocence or guilt. But I'm anti death penalty.
  2. And why would they hire a gap toothed, overweight, dim witted MAGA actor?
  3. The will of the people is continued support for Ukraine https://www.brookings.edu/articles/more-americans-want-the-us-to-stay-the-course-in-ukraine-as-long-as-it-takes/?b=1
  4. Hopefully another criminal conviction for trump and the first? For Vance. https://www.vanityfair.com/news/story/trump-and-vance-hit-with-citizen-criminal-charges-false-pet-eating-claims
  5. watching "What's next? The future with Bill Gates". Episode 3 is about income inequality with one of the worlds richest men weighing in. He meets with Bernie Sanders and Mitt Romney. Bernie says what you'd expect. Mitt says "Today there are these culture battles and demonization of people across the aisle. And so policy, the kinds of things that help people come out of poverty, have taken a back seat. I do think that our political parties are casting out a bit. They don't quite know where to go. So my party for instance, now is almost two thirds made up of individuals without a college education. And these are people who, I presume would like to see a higher minimum wage, but our orthodoxy in the Republican party for a long time has been "Don't raise the minimum wage." Because that's what business has been saying. Well, what are we going to do? And that confusion has been responsible for the lack of progress on dealing with some of the challenges we have. So we have got to tackle this issue. He's nailed it. The political rhetoric is aimed mostly at this group but the policies rarely are, when there actually are any policies.
  6. 48 point gender gap in recent NYT poll for 18-29 yo in battleground states. much depends on which group is more motivated to vote.
  7. At least Levi openly drops the Christian from white nationalism.. somewhat refreshing in a perverse sort of way.
  8. Smart move to dump those losing personas
  9. At least were free of tommy eye roll and NC meme king for a while. You cannot make a nihilist feel guilty though.
  10. They really are. Not going to waste my time quoting scripture to illustrate each of these positions since you are likely aware and reject them despite their clarity. Whoever radicalized you and made you emotionally and spiritually bankrupt did an excellent job but did you no favors. and another nice green check mark from theologically conflicted B man.
  11. Maybe because these are positions Jesus taught. talk about a sad sack. What do you believe in other than yourself? Do you even believe strongly in that? And there's B-man, grad of conservative, Catholic St Bonaventure, giving you a green check mark and qouting the KJV version of the bible. Where's his "cast the first stone" quote now (it is directly applicable here). At least you're honest in your nihilism.
  12. It’s over. Fascists lose the battle https://www.politico.com/news/2024/09/24/nebraska-electoral-college-donald-trump-00180743
  13. Mitt considers leaving the country should trump win. Truly a sad time in US history https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/ar-AA1r6Ox5
  14. Fortunately, only the first is true on a meaningful level.
  15. Your cynicism and coldness certainly aren’t
  16. Ah, once again the arbiter of morality. Nope, pro life also means anti death penalty. Thou shalt not kill is quite clear
  17. The guy is the ultimate shyster. The real billionaires in the NFL had him right. And the big tree boys seem like nice, loyal MAGAs; bragging about stealing tools from the team they supposedly love.
  18. yeah, he probably doesn't go to barbershop frequented by D's if he goes to a barber at all. KD? I actually go to a barber shop that is MAGA heavy.
  19. I don't know any D wackos. As I said, the Ds I see at events like fundraisers or the picnic are hard working, reasonable and many are respected community leaders. Yes, they'll be a few ex hippies and free spirits present. There could be one or two people present who you might consider extremist based on their views but certainly not in a violent manner. I probably wouldn't know them.. As section c mentioned. It's a big tent. My wife is at a "Women for Kamala" dinner tonight driving with with a woman who owns several businesses in town. It's at a nice restaurant. There are some leftist extremists to be sure, mostly in the cities. But I would argue they are a much smaller percentage of our party than of yours.
  20. you mean extremist parties? you think that's good. ugh.
  21. While much of this is cultural, as much or more is socioeconomic. Poor whites are also often unmotivated. I think it’s less about race and more about multigenerational poverty.
  22. you play bridge? Me too.
  23. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/other/trump-likens-doj-s-jan-6-filing-to-pre-election-special-counsel-report/ar-AA1r4MYf bad stuff in that report I'm guessing...
  24. It's also a very wimpy statement from Mueller.
  25. this? A Bill to Make provision about public service television; about the sustainability of, and programme-making by, C4C; about the name, remit, powers, governance and audit of S4C; about the regulation of television selection services; about the regulation of on-demand programme services; about the regulation of radio services; about the regulation of radio selection services; for the repeal of section 40 of the Crime and Courts Act 2013; for addressing deficiencies in broadcasting legislation arising from the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union; and for connected purposes. I found another bill stopping foreign ownership in newspapers. https://www.engage.hoganlovells.com/knowledgeservices/news/uk-passes-media-act-2024-with-major-changes-to-uk-media-regulation none of this refers to print media.
