  1. Another internet poster who knows it all. Thankfully Peterman and NFL GM's don't listen to anything you people say. 😀 Peterman is still in the league in year FIVE. He will make close to $400K this year. Sorry the facts don't fit your narrative. Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence. -John Adams
  2. Thanks. Another anonymous internet poster who knows more about talent evaluation than professional GM's. Peterman has been in the league now for FIVE years. He will be making close to $400K this year playing football for the Bears. If only Peterman and the GM's that keep signing him were as smart as you. $400K on an NFL roster. Year FIVE. Good thing Peterman doesn't listen to internet posters. Your take is garbage.
  3. Peterman is not an NFL starter, BUT he is better than he showed with the Bills. He threw a beautiful ball to Benjamin in the San Diego game. Benjamin made a great catch and got hurt. After that he was throwing to a bunch of awful receivers that could not get ANY separation. His first interception was DiMarco's fault too. Ball went right through his hands. I think he is backup on a bad team or a practice squad player. Man, the Bills were terrible when he was here.
  4. Chicago is releasing quarterback Nathan Peterman, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media. But the Bears do intend to bring Peterman back for their practice squad as their third quarterback. Peterman will earn between 15K-20K per week on the practice squad because he is a Veteran. 300-400K a year to be on an NFL roster. Peterman has a great life. My guess is he will be on some NFL coaching staff one day. Smart guy.
  5. You would kill to live in that house. My guess is you live in a house or apartment that is 1/100th as nice as that house.
  6. I can easily see them starting 3-3 and then dropping 3 straight to Chiefs, Rams, and Chargers. Niners are staring a 3-6 start in the face.
  7. A guy said she told everyone she was 18. A guy said it was consensual. She said it was not consensual. That is what he said vs she said means. The Police and DA then have to do all the work and frequently it is still exactly where it started. A he said vs she said.
  8. You want us to believe he had sex with her outside and then he brought her into the house and threw her on a bed for his friends? I would have no problem believing he brought her inside and he was part of a gang rape. That is plausible. But I have never heard of a guy who finished having sex with a girl and then had his friend's sex life in mind. lol
  9. It is he said vs she said. Any police officer or DA knows this is just a waste of time. They need evidence. Anyway, if he did bring her in the house (he says he didn't) he is not responsible for what other people do. If I bring a friend into a party and he does something illegal, the law does not make me responsible for what he does.
  10. He will. I am guessing his value will go up each week as some team that was expected to contend is struggling with their passing game. My guess is he will find a place by week 5.
  11. Sounds like Araiza is saying he had consensual sex on the side of the house with a girl he thought was 18. If that is the case, it is understandable why the DA is not bringing charges. How exactly could the DA prove otherwise? People having sex at a college party is pretty normal. A 17 year old or even a 16 year old lying in order to get into a party is pretty normal as well. As for the rape, it sounds like Araiza was not involved in any sex in the house. If that is the case, wish him the best of luck next year in the NFL. This is a business though and the Bills did the right thing for the Bills. I though the same too originally, however I now realize SDSU really could not do anything. It is up to the police and the DA. I am sure the school was given legal advice. Duke University damaged their reputation and had to pay out a fortune because of how they acted.
  12. The kit includes observations, but this is often just another problem with rape kits. Injuries inconsistent with consensual intercourse are frequently used to portray victims as promiscuous women who like rough sex or lots of partners. Rape kits are frequently a defense attorney's best friend. If the DNA doesn't match or there is no DNA left behind, the defense attorney holds all the cards. Rape kits really are not that tough to test. Frequently they go untested because the DA already knows the answer and it does not help the case.
  13. You may be right. I read Sal's article. It sure looks like he said he had sex with her but he really didn't think it was anything but consensual sex with some college girl.
  14. He should get some lucrative Buffalo endorsements. Put him on the Practice squad and get him some car dealership and restaurant endorsements. He might be the most popular player on the Bills right now after his punting job.
  15. Matt Araiza has not been charged with a crime, but he has already admitted to one. Sal Maiorana, Rochester Democrat and Chronicle
  16. That is the problem with rape kits and why they are frequently intentionally not used by DA's. Rapists often don't leave behind DNA. It is irrelevant anyway. Araiza said he was there. He said he had sex with here. He just said he thought she was 18 and it was consensual. He probably is going to be impossible to convict as long as he has a good reason why he thought she was 18.
  17. The rape kit has nothing to do with it. Rape kits are useless when they already know who was there and what happened. That is why they are frequently not tested for months or ever. The narrative that there is a national problem testing rape kits is exaggerated by the media. It is primarily for unsolved cases where police have little information. Which is quite common. This case is actually pretty simple. It is about consent. The rape kit is irrelevant here. Nobody is disputing who was there or whether sex was involved. It is about two issues. 1) Was the sex consensual? 2) Did the woman do or say anything that would have led a reasonable person to believe she was the age of consent? The DA does not need rape kit results to bring charges. A DA may not even want the results because often jurors acquit on a lack of DNA alone. Where a rape kit actually is useful is catching people where a person is raped and they have no idea who may have raped the person. Frequently they can tie cases together and solve other cases.
  18. The fact that no criminal charges have been brought after nearly a year likely means someone is protecting the University or the girl has some history of making claims after attending college parties. It could be both. These guys are sketchy, but her lawyer screams lawyer/PR guy that is trying to make her famous. 19. Have to think they settle out of court. A guy with no job can't exactly pay damages to her. The other two guys likely are broke and will have a ton of legal fees. He settles. She gets paid. He winds up punting in the NFL in a year from now. She then goes around selling her story and makes even more money and shows up on some reality show. America.
  20. Come on. They knew about this when they cut Haack. The Bills were well aware this guy had a criminal investigation for rape hanging over his head. They just did not know the specifics. If TMZ can figure out this type of thing, any NFL organization can figure it out. My guess is they didn't see it as their job. But don't for a second believe they could not have gotten the specifics of the alleged story. If this was a star Quarterback they would have known what he was wearing and had for dinner the night of the incident. There are a ton of former police, FBI, and other intelligence community members that can get their hands on anything they want if someone with deep pockets is willing to pay them. The Bills did a good job. But it could have been dealt with a little better.
  21. Beasley is like Kaepernick. Too much distraction and not enough talent.
  22. I think our defense is overrated, until it is proven otherwise. The Colts, Bucs, and Chiefs exposed our defense. Sorry, but I am not breaking the bank for Poyer until our defense proves they will show up when it matters.
  23. B+. Bills should have done their homework. This was handled well, but nobody should be congratulating anyone. It is like congratulating the Bills after losing to the Chiefs last year in the playoffs. The team and the front office need to move from playoff caliber to championship caliber. Enough with the stupid errors due to being unprepared. This is right up there with not squibbing the kick at the end of the playoff game. Unforced errors are killers.
  24. Not necessarily, which is why police and DA's leave so many rape kits unprocessed. Plenty of rapes occur where the rape kit shows no DNA evidence from the rapist. It allows defense attorneys an easy out, even if all other evidence suggests the person was the rapist. The other reason why so many go unprocessed is because when the people involved agree they were there, but they claim the sex was consentual, the rape kit becomes irrelevant.
