  1. John Lodge passed on Friday and now Diane today... I wonder who will complete the funeral trifecta?
  2. Stock up on snow removal equipment soon!
  3. At 82 years of age I'd have to say Mr. Lodge lived a full life. I've seen them live 4 times in my life and every time you'd swear they're lip syncing because their live music sounds identical to their recordings... and especially so when they have the local Philharmonic Orchestras playing behind them! One of my all time favorite groups... in fact we had a family member recite part of one of their songs as part of our wedding ceremony. By the way T&C... it's Knights In White Satin.
  4. 3rd and 12? Hell... I don't even expect them to stop something that short! What REALLY gets me screamin at the TV is a fantastic rush on 2nd down resulting in a 10-15 yard loss and then turtle up on 3rd down resulting in a 1st!
  5. Thanks but I meant via a TV network. I've got a Firestick and Amazon Prime but I was hoping for network coverage... the streaming experience leaves a LOT to be desired. I've just been informed that WKBW Channel 7 in Buffalo will also be airing the game.
  6. Is Prime the ONLY option for TV coverage tonight or will a local channel also broadcast the game?
  7. No... I wasn't "semi awake" I was totally awake with just a "local" and talking to the Dr while looking at the screen watching the scope. One of the marvels of medicine I guess but I never felt a thing other than when the scope contacted the area where the mesh is at. I've had numerous surgeries in my 72 years of life so far and I prefer being knocked out too but I thought being able to watch would be pretty cool when it was offered... and it was.
  8. Ha... almost 50... you're still a pup! I'll be turning 73 next month with 4 major knee surgeries over the years behind me. I'd give my left (useless) nugget to "bounce back" like I could when I was 50 again!
  9. Like everybody else has said... the day before is by FAR worse than the exam itself. Plan your time after starting the drinking regime carefully so you're always just a few steps away from a toilet. As far as the anesthesia goes... I've had three of them now and I was wide awake and watching the scope on the screen through all three of them. Only once did I feel anything at all and it was when the scope was right at a spot where a hernia repair was repaired with mesh and they halted for a moment while they increased the amount of whatever the pain stuff was that they were injecting through the needle in my arm and all was good again. Cake walk... you got this!
  10. Somebody stepped on his foot is the latest I heard. They actually said "foot" but I'm guessing they stepped on his ankle.
  11. Well at least the cops got a description of her but unfortunately "ugly" could describe more than just that one person. I'd have to think they'd have a camera around there being close to the door?
  12. Walter (Radar) O'Reilly... beat those skins like a mo-fo!
  13. You guys whining about the weather in the fall are nuts! My birthday is in the second week of November and for as far back as I can remember over these 70 some years I've been around the weather has historically been pretty much nice during the first half of November. I've relocated some snow on Halloween more than once and then cooked out on the patio just a few days later! Other than a few unpredictable short-lived storms over the years the REAL crappy weather that's here to hang around for a while doesn't arrive until mid to late December.
  14. To the best of my knowledge "pre-school" didn't exist back in 1956? However... I have a black & white photo that my mother took of me on my first day of kindergarten in 1957 and I remember exactly zero of anything that went down. My earliest recollections are from the 1959 era around the time my father bought his first brand new Buick. Man... those fins were a sight to behold for a little kid!
  15. I guess you'd have to ask Samsung that question but smart tvs were just becoming a thing when we bought this one... and I DO have a Firestick. So how does a Firestick get me HBO?
