Bills coaching staff like to draft and develop their own. Shavers had been putting in the work and earned a solid spot on the practice squad for a few years now. With his step up this preseason and training camp I think he’s proven he deserves that last spot on the 53.

Probably won’t make the roster, but may have just played himself onto someone’s team tonight. Our practice squad as a worst case for him.

He would make it if we didn’t carry a full back.

He won’t even be able to practice with the team for 4 weeks (I think) with his suspension so I’m assuming they are just trying to get him as much work in as possible while they can.

Haha sure. Ended up being a nice drive. I just meant it as a weird strategy going into the game to have the guy that seems last on the depth chart to play the whole thing when they normally like to rotate a lot.

I don’t get playing Buechle the full game. Seems like they would at least want a little bit better QB’ing at least to start to give the bubble WRs a bit more evaluation.

I imagine he’s not happy with an insider telling someone in the media they think it is season ending as soon as last night or this morning. Normally teams want an injured player to go through the process of tests, MRIs, evaluations, multiple opinions, etc. before they tell the media the details of the situation. I can see him being upset over how it was handled by his staff rather then him trying to play games to hide an injury against league rules.

I was actually in a tour bus rollover accident not too long ago in a very remote location. Luckily everyone walked away with minor scrapes and bruises. Makes you think about how suddenly things can change.

A family member at ECMC told me around 1PM there was a mass notification for the hospital to lock down and prepare for a large patient injury event. Sounds pretty bad.

Glad someone recognized it was a joke... Wildgoose (CB) was our 3rd 6th round pick in the 2021 draft. Oddly enough that was our next pick after Damar Hamlin. One will probably be our starting safety in 2025 and the other out of the league after the following year.
