  1. Do we think Mack was more clutch in 2024 vs the Chiefs than Gabe in 2021? I feel like having 200 yards and 4 TDs against your rivals, including the go ahead TD with 13 seconds is pretty clutch.
  2. This exercise depressed me a bit and I abstain.
  3. I don’t know how you get there. between he’s not as good as Mack Hollins (which is crazy), I think you’re way off base. He was a solid WR3 that looked better with Josh and got paid. Mack Hollins was a solid WR5 that looked better with Josh.
  4. He maybe be better than everyone except Shakir. But the beauty of everybody eats is that he doesn’t have to be a focal point
  5. They used to keep 6 when they had guys who deserved spots.
  6. Why? He’s an actual better version of Mack Hollins, good in the locker room, and certainly not good enough to demand a high target share. He ain’t perfect but no one on the Bills is either.
  7. I think there’s a 50-50 shot he’s back in Buffalo.
  8. Yeah definitely partial difference there, but we also drafted an outside CB with our first just like we did 3 years ago. Like I said, I don’t think the difference is a change in philosophy. We have been trying to slow down or stop the Chiefs for a long time. The difference between interior vs outside pressure doesn’t represent “trying to outscore them” to me. Especially when we have made considerable investments for inside pressure prior with Ed Oliver in the past. I just think they needed a talent infusion in the worst way on defense. Players got old or left in FA. We are loading up to try again, and hopefully it works.
  9. Kincaid led the 2024 Bills in total drops and drop% FWIW.
  10. Interestingly enough, I changed it in statmuse and the Bills don’t appear at 22. So I think the reality is they may be far lower. https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/nfl-highest-ppg-by-year
  11. I think there may be a flaw in using “total points” when the number of games has changed when deciding “the greatest offenses ever.” The 2024 Bills rank 22nd by PPG.
  12. That’s not what your link says FWIW. Your link is total points.
  13. This has to be a photo from LaPorta in high school. Sheesh
  14. Packers Bills 2014. Street FA Bacari Rambo picks off Rodgers twice. Felt like the drought was gonna end that year.
  15. I’m not sure that theory holds true. We have tried to get guys to stop the Chiefs like Rousseau/Boogie with our top 2 picks. The splash FA signing of Von. Not sure there’s been a massive philosophy change as much as “we need to keep trying.”
  16. I do not understand this. fast forward to the 2025 AFCCG and you would rather play KC in KC than Baltimore in Baltimore?
  17. I think we have a tendency to conflate beating the Chiefs with winning the Super Bowl. the offense was awesome last year. I’m not sure if we did squeak past the Chiefs if we would have beaten the Eagles. I think that’s where the star power argument has some legs. I don’t think we NEED a superstar at WR any more than we NEED a superstar at CB. But we do need superstars to rattle off 4 playoff wins or we need Josh to have a Flacco-type run. Jmo
  18. That’s where draft value matters imo. Theres a lot of talk about how Detroit drafting Gibbs and Campbell in the first round years ago proved draft value is for nerds. But the wheel of the NFL never stops pounding. Gibbs is a great player and Campbell is fine. But if you prioritize shorter term moves (which is fine), you pay for it in the long-term. It would not surprise me to see the Lions be an 8 win team.
  19. The Ravens had one good game against us. Henry ran wild and he’s a great player and the Ravens are elite with a lead and when they can play downhill. They have beaten us once since 2019. And they barely beat us in 2019 (we lost on the last play of the game on a great defensive play against Cover 1 with John Brown as the target in the EZ). To me, the Ravens are among the least of the threats, especially come playoffs time.
  20. I don’t know if it’s necessity or valuation. I think we all agree the Bills would have a better chance of winning a Super Bowl if you gave us Chase and Higgins. But would we have a better chance of winning a Super Bowl if you gave us Chase/Higgins and the Bengals OL and defense? Probably not. I would love a few more playmakers offensively. I would love them defensively too. I would love some stars on ST. But it’s hard to get them all. I was a little down on this team last year offensively and they were great. I’m willing to give them a chance again.
  21. On paper: Baltimore On the field: KC I will always have pause with Baltimore always because their strengths match up ideally against us, but we beat them far more than they beat us. Meanwhile, we have KC on a knife’s edge every year, even on their weak years, and while we get them in the regular season, the playoffs haven’t fallen our way yet. This is the year.
  22. All year it seemed like we had Hollins or a RB come in motion and push Allen and/or the pile behind him on our QB sneaks. It was pretty close to unstoppable. In rewatching the AFCCG game, there were multiple sneak attempts with no one pushing the pile and Allen from behind. Why?
  23. Mcdermott’s defense continues to be an integral reason we have won two playoff games and are playing in Arrowhead Sunday night. We have now won the wild card and divisional round without Josh needing to be Superman. Something many have said was impossible given McDs limitations. His soft Nickel refusing to adjust choking defensive facts from the Ravens game: -The Bills blitzed Jackson on 15 of 31 dropbacks (48.4%), their 5th-highest blitz rate in a game under Sean McDermott and highest in a game since Week 15, 2021. -The Bills defense played man coverage on 46.7% of pass plays in the first half, the unit's highest rate since Week 12, 2022. -Bills played 3 LBs 33.3% of the plays last night. We saw several plays with Dorian as the Sam linebacker ON the line of scrimmage. -Derrick Henry 84 yards rushing. Lamar Jackson 39 yards rushing.
  24. Bumping this for the h8ers as Mcdermott’s defense continues to be an integral reason we have won two playoff games and are playing in Arrowhead Sunday night.
