No point of playing this soft zone if the D is that slow to react and just letting guys sit down in between them. -

Getting tore up by a bottom ranked offense with a backup QB. Hope they're proud. -

Because if it's not terrible defense on 3rd down, it's always a stupid penalty to keep the drive alive. -

Backup QB getting chunk yardage against us and we can't even get a first down. -
The difference between the Bills and Chiefs is Chris Jones.

I am willing to let the Jets give up two #1 picks for one of them. Nothing I would like better for the Jets to not make the playoffs this year and be in draft and cap hell for several years to come. -
Not to mention that the longer we waited, the stronger the chances more teams get in the Cooper sweepstakes and drive the asking price up along with the chances he goes somewhere else...and in this case, by somewhere else, I mean KC. I did NOT want to see him go there while we sat on our hands. And minus the drama too. Someone like Cooper is much better for Josh mentally. He won't feel as obligated to try and force balls to him to keep him happy.
-
I'm not even going to argue that because you're right about Josh, but as the HC, you have a team to manage and expecting him to kiss the rear end of a guy who hasn't even walked through the door yet or taken a snap in a Bills uni isn't a good look. You really think Cooper is on this team without McD's blessing or input? You left out Shakir, who's also been great.
-
This is what he said. Look, I'm one of the biggest McD critics there is, but I think people are reading into it too much. McDermott wasn't crapping on Cooper. He was trying to strike a balance between making sure the current WR room knows he still has faith in them and at the same time, be optimistic how Cooper can make it better.
-
I put the current kicking situation in the same category, although that is more on Beane than McD, IMO. There should've been a legit kicking competition in camp, but instead, they pretended everything was fine. Now here we are with the worst kicker in the league this season based on current stats. Bringing in other PKs in camp would've made Beane look dumb for giving Bass the early extension. It still looks dumb, but that would've made it look even worse, although it's what should've happened.
-
Who says this group will get better every week? You either have receivers who can separate, or you don't. And what younger receiver from another team were we going to get without giving up probably the same or even worse draft capital and cost more against the cap? Cooper is a bargain in comparison.

Should the Bills trust that Tyler Bass will return to form?
Billz4ever replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I 100% put this on McBeane. They refused to have a legit kicking competition in camp and decided to lie to themselves and pretend everything was going to be fine. Them actually moving on from Bass then would make Beane look like he has egg on his face because of the early extension, so now we're in the situation we are in with a kicker you even need to worry about with XPs. -
Yep, Brady got bailed out a lot too in that respect, but the good QBs always seem to be good at that part too.
