Ok, so that's correct. So as some are suggesting, we should sign a guy for half a season and playoffs and give up a first-round pick for it and then not be able to afford him next year. Awesome plan. Wait, you're actually suggesting we give up a first round pick to get him and then cut him next year? LMAOOOO, So we give up a first-round pick to get a player for half a season and playoffs? And you do understand that signing him doesn't guarantee us winning anything, correct? You act like the SB is in the bag if we sign him. I love how the answer from anyone when it comes to signing players with high price tags is always to simply "restructure". Care to explain how that actually works with the team's current and projected cap space next year?
-
The vomit emoji was created for that thought. Not ideal? It leaves us in a worse position than we are now and in salary cap hell.
-
Scary thought, eh?
-
LMAO, we're projected to be $7.5M over before even signing any of our own FA's and your solution is to add a dude owed almost $12M in base salary next year? You apparently don't want to re-sign any of our FA's. That or you're just real bad at math. So who are you cutting to get us under the cap and pay CMC?
-
Wait, you're willing to put us in cap hell for the CHANCE to win now? CMC would guarantee nothing and there would still be the possibility we don't win the SB and then are still in cap hell all for nothing AND minus a first round pick. Yeah, umm...No.
-
Giving up a 1st round pick for an injury prone back isn't happening and I'm sure Beane agrees considering he's all about "value". Not to mention, we can't afford him. We are already a projected $7.5M over the cap next year and that's before even signing any of our own big FA's.
-
who has a history of injuries and does not warrant 1st round pick compensation.
-
Still not worth a 1st round pick in any metric. If Carolina does move him, I can guarantee you it ain't for a 1st round pick. I don't think there's any team in the league right now that's so desperate for a RB, they would be willing to part with a 1st rounder. You are severely undervaluing what a first-round pick actually is.
-
LMAO, so you're giving up Elam, Shakir (5th round, but you get the point), and Moss for an injury prone back that will still be running behind the statistically worst run blocking line in the league? Not sure what you see in CMC that's worth a 1st round pick or even close to that.
-
To put it into perspective, that guy would be willing to give up Elam, Shakir (he was a 5th, but we had no 4th) and Moss for a talented, but often injured RB. Crazy talk.
-
A 1st, 4th, & Moss? Oh, my. We're talking about CMC here, not Barry Sanders.
-
Our line is statistically the worst run blocking line in the league and you're claiming they have zero responsibility here? Oh, my.
-
You clearly want to take the ball out of Josh's hands because you're jealous of the Giants running game. LMAO
-
When you look at the YPC for our backs, you will see you're wrong. They get more carries than our backs. Sounds like you want to take the ball out of Josh's hand and give to a RB in the hopes of having anywhere near the offensive output Josh gets.
-
We have the worst run block win % in the entire league (65%). The RBs aren't the problem. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/34536376/2022-nfl-pass-rushing-run-stopping-blocking-leaderboard-win-rate-rankings-top-players-teams#rbwrteam

The key to this game will be the Chiefs running game. Mahomes will still be there no matter what, but the Chiefs were able to run on the Bucs, so the Bucs were left guessing all game. That made things easy for Mahomes. If we are able to shut down their run, that makes the task of containing Mahomes not loom so large. The Colts limited KC to 53 rushing yards in their win. The Bucs gave up 189 rushing yards.

It's 38-3 with two minutes left, my guy. Are you simply trolling or what?
-
We can probably get Trubisky back for cheap at this point 🤣. He was a much better fit in this offense than Keenum.
-
The ball was right on top of the line to gain and they marked it by the spot from the official who couldn't see the ball? lol
-
There is just no zip on his throws. Like watching hangtime on a punt. I know we are spoiled with JA17, but these balls take forever.

Cook haters??? Come at me
-
Yeah, strange call there for sure.

Still no pts allowed in the 3rd quarter all season.
