  1. I'm still trying to wrap my mind around a QB sneak, 1st and 10, down by 20 points.
  2. So Seattle is good, huh? I mean we're an abomination but they might do something this year.
  3. That pick wasn't fitz's fault CAN SAY NO ONE EVER.
  4. One of these days he'll complete a pass over 25 yards. Keep trying.
  5. Speaking of 3rd string, reminds me of where Cinnci thought Fitz belonged in their depth chart.
  6. Is there any chance we try to move to Toronto and Toronto says, "No, thanks"?
  7. I'm not a parent, but there are not enough pills or booze in the world that would make this manageable if something like this happened to one of my nephews or my niece. I am !@#$ing trying to stop watching the news, checking the news sites, but I can't.
  8. Isn't that why I don't like you?
  9. I almost hope most of the parents have other kids to give them a reason not to kill themselves. Your question is not silly. It's the kind of thing they will have to deal with. I hate everything about this story.
  10. The phrase "this puts things into perspective" is likely the most inappropriately used of all time - especially in sports (mention that only because this is a sports forum). But to think of the dozens of families just broken by this, well, no problems in my life are even worth thinking about at a time like this. We can label the shooter as a monster, sub-human, etc. All are appropriate. But that he took his own life is what infuriates me the most. Little innocents killed. Because he was unhappy, unstable, whatever. Days like this are why I'm conflicted about religion. I'm not a God fearing person. Was raised Catholic, but don't practice or even believe. I'm not turning this into a religious thread (or trying not to) but here is why I'm torn: I don't want to believe there is a God that would let this happen. On the other hand I need to be able to believe the shooter didn't just get off that easy - bullet to the head and then black. I need to have some hope that he is literally burning - for eternity. These families will never heal completely. But, and not to sound hypocritical to what I just said above, I hope God is with them.
  11. Worry about him wearing down? That is such a scared, thinking about the "future", and not wanting to WIN NOW attitude. I'm sure the Vikings, in hindsight, wish they had kept Adrian Peterson fresh since he could only go for 5 plays last week due to exhaustion. OH WAIT.... he ran 31 times. Forget the fact that he's 2 years older than CJ. I'm exceptionally happy CJ will be fresh for the last, completely meaningless, games of the season. Made meaningless partly because we refused to give him the ball.
  12. Aaaaaaand, this thread went completely batshit crazy. Nice work, gents. Not sure what is crazier though, throwing 9/11 conspiracy theories into a football thread or not realizing Tom Brady as unquestionably one of the best QBs in the history of the game.
  13. Really? Did you see that throw? It was very under thrown and SJ just won the race to it. We are not talking a perfect corner pass over the outside shoulder "that only his guy can get." And really? Even mentioning Peyton or Brady in the same breath? Both of those guys will get mentions for best QB EVER. Fitz wasn't the second best QB for the Bengals.
  14. And by the way, Fitzs best pass, the toss to Stevie on the right sideline, was under thrown by a solid 2 yards.
  15. Jim Kelly went to Miami and ran this offense. FitzNoodleArm went to Harvard. At this point I'd rather have no HC and see what Fitz can come up with. Say what you will about the guy, but he's smart, knows the QB (him) sucks and would likely pound the ball with Freddy and CJ. Well, now CJ.
