  1. Just following Levy's direction: "If you develop a reputation as an astute player personnel man, you can sleep through free agency and the draft." At least, I think that's what Marv said.
  2. Wallace has been living on borrowed time for a while (i.e., the tallest midget in the circus). I suspect it's highly likely the position groups pick up vibes and gosip inside the building more than we outsiders can know. And has a feel for when the coaching staff would like better players at certain positions.
  3. Yep. Levi most likely suspected they were going CB2 with either pick #25 or #57. That's probably been well known inside the building for a while.
  4. So did Justin Fargas, Jackie Battle, James Stewart, Deuce McAllister, Ryan McCants and Jonathan Stewart.
  5. IDK if they're related. Wallace wasn't wearing red, white and blue underware when he decided to sign a contract.
  6. Johnathan Taylor and Nick Chubb say hello.
  7. Personally, I'm more into reality points. Like wins and losses.
  8. I think the medicals on Booth may be a problem. I'd be fine with him, if he's the pick. They brought him to town and I'm sure the medical staff checked him out. But it seems like an issue that might cause the Bills to look at a cleaner prospect like Elam.
  9. That may just be a function of how their draft boards fell, knowing that Beane always remains disciplined in sticking to value over need. This year, with such a limited number of true round one grade, I can see a CB like Elam being both value and need at #25.
  10. All MBs have their fanatic tendancies. I just know how TSW has historically rolled. Maybe some of those flamethrowing posters of old have aged out or moved on, but I suspect enough will show up tonight and tomorrow to let everyone know what a bad pick the Bills made.
  11. My guess on Elam comes mostly from a feeling that (a) McD wants to fix that CB2 roster hole, once and for all, (b) Elam has been the least talked about corner linked to the Bills, which is how Beane operates, and (2) The Bills love their first round picks to be as young as possible (in the 20-21 year old range). Not a Florida fan, just reading tea leaves.
  12. Man, I want some of what you're smoking! The pool of sophisticated posters is smaller than the Madden 2022 crowd, in my experience. Do you have a lot of posters on ignore?
  13. That's taken on a life of it's own. He was hurt part of last year, likely limiting his take on ability. And at just 21 years old, has plenty of time to work on his technique. I have no worries about his tackling.
  14. Lol! When has TSW ever been that rational or patient? This place lives to second guess.
  15. Given the lack of consensus on the Bills pick at #25, I'm sure TSW will love/hate the pick to a greater degree than in years past. Hope the server is up to it.
  16. There are only two guys I'd consider trading up for. Jameson Williams and Kyle Hamilton, if either guy drops into the teens. Nobody else seems that 'special' to me in this draft. Which probably makes it harder to trade up, since there seem to be fewer round 1 grades in this draft than in recent years.
  17. Looks like it's coming down to either Elam or Hall, if they stay at #25. Virtually all the national draft experts are pointing to Hall being the pick--which makes me think Beane is going with Elam. The Bills love younger players with their first round selection and Kaiir fits that profile.
  18. This just in: now that expectations have been raised, there's a VERY high likelihood (certainty) that a sizeable segment of TSW posters will question any move Beane makes that doesn't deliver a Lombardi in the next 2-3 years. Draft choices, free agent signings and exits, contract structures, etc. He's on the clock, no matter what he does.
  19. I can live with that as well. If he walks for a big free agent deal in his second contract, it'll mean the Bills have had a lot of success in 2023, 2024 and 2025 that he played a major part in.
  20. Here they are. Agreed. He's really developed his upper body over the past year.
  21. I think McD's comment about presenting "the threat to run" will come more into play with Josh, now that he's established how much of a threat he can be with his legs. As Marv used to say, "get a reputation as an early riser and you can sleep in until noon."
  22. My final PFF mock (boy, it would be a doozie if it fell this way!)
