But the entire purpose of this intervention was to make things "fair." If you're going to have a potential AFC title game at a neutral site, it would seem to be fair to have a potential Bills/Bengals game at a neutral site too.

A lot of KC fans are totally fine with the arrangement and some even celebrated it. The ones who don’t like it don’t like it because it goes against the rules. The stated rule is to use winning % in the event of a cancelled game. It’s the principal of the thing. They don’t like that it sets a precedent. Hosting the AFC Championship is a treasured event in KC, so of course they’d all like the opportunity to do so again. And if none of this had happened, I think there’s a good chance they would have been the 1 seed and been in position to do so. But it is what it is and it’s understandable.

Mahomes puts up the best numbers and the most highlights with receivers that are open half as much as Cincy’s and Buffalo’s, especially Cincinnati. Sure seems overrated.

Let's face it...many of you are determined to hate KC and their fans. You look for reasons. The vast majority of KC fan behavior is no more "toxic" than the Bills fans chanting "***** the Chiefs" at a game in Cincinnati. Most of what you consider toxic is schtick. It's people having fun. Maybe some don't appreciate their language or approach (I sometimes don't either), but it's no indication of the character of the fanbase. This was proven during the Hamlin incident. 99% of posts in the game thread at Chiefs Planet were purely concern for the player, offering thoughts and prayers, and declaring that his health was way more important than a game. Yes, a few days later, some people became irritated by rumors of re-structuring the entire season and postseason, using a random generator to remove one of KC's games, etc. As I'm sure you would if the situation were reversed. But I haven't seen many crass comments and no one is saying anything disrespectful in regard to Hamlin. I'll also say that, if there's a generalization to be made about Chiefs fans, it's that the obnoxious or trashy ones tend to be from the Missouri side of state line, while the Kansas side tends to be classier and more polite.

That thread was created before the season began, due to the fact that they were heavy Super Bowl favorites and early books had them favored in every game. It’s not insulting to ask if that were justified. KC? Well, they’re probably overhyped by Nick Wright. I don’t think anyone else has thought they’re a clear-cut favorite.

I don’t see every Bills game, so I probably miss the inconsistency that everybody talks about with Davis. I do see that his numbers are up and down, but it’s the same for every KC WR. He’s still top 20 I think in yards and has several TDs. His drop total is pretty bad based on the number of targets, but I think the good outweighs the bad. Hill had a problem with drops last year too. He may not have dropped balls at the same rate, but when he did, it was a killer. Numerous times he managed to bobble a good pass directly into the hands of a DB, including the last offensive play in the AFCC. It cost them another SB appearance. The good obviously still outweighed the bad, but I think the same’s true for Davis. He probably won’t keep that pace. To me, there aren’t many teams with a significantly better trio of weapons than Diggs/Davis/Knox. As some have said, Allen just doesn’t seem to prefer to throw to TEs. KC may have a deeper set of weapons, but I’d take the Bills’ top 3 over KC’s top three. I honestly don’t even know who the third weapon is after Kelce and JJSS. Toney’s too new to the offense and is already injured, and the rest are inconsistent or just not that productive.

I thought he was focusing solely on WR. Adding Kelce obviously changes the picture dramatically. Every fan is more critical of his team’s players than outsiders tend to be. I see Davis as a very good #2 WR. One of the best. And I see Allen’s weapons as among the best in the league overall. And you guys apparently view MVS, Hardman and Moore fairly highly. Those guys have taken a lot of criticism from KC fans. Not Moore as much, since he’s a rookie in an offense that takes awhile to learn, but he’s mostly been a non-factor. As for the line, KC interior OL is really solid but the tackles aren’t great. Brown is average at best and Wylie is pretty bad. But overall it’s a pretty good line. I don’t follow Buffalo closely enough to have much of an opinion on their OL, but the pass protection generally seems pretty solid. They definitely have a solid LT, which is most important.

But the idea that KC has a plethora of good WRs is pretty silly. None of them are elite (maybe Toney has potential, but it’ll take awhile). I think Smith-Schuster is the only one you can argue is even above average right now. They do have more depth than last year, but that’s because they had no depth behind Hill. Reid/Mahomes just find a way to make it work with what they’re dealt. Last year, Kelce was out and Hill very limited vs Pittsburgh, and it was one of their best offensive games of the year. Top receivers were Byron Pringle, Darrel Williams, Derrick Gore and Hardman.

As a KC fan, this notion seems ridiculous to me. Kelce, of course, is a great TE, but KC is very thin at WR right now. The WR who played the most snaps in LA was Justin Watson. Most of you had probably never heard his name before this year. He didn’t even play when he was with Tampa. 2nd most snaps went to MVS, and then Skyy Moore (who had barely been involved in the offense this year and has had a bit of a rough transition to the NFL). The rest of the WR corps were practice squad guys. Even when healthy, KC’s WR corps is average at best, and obviously way below the Bills WRs.

What's up, Bills fans....KC fan here. I think the sentiment that KC has the 1 seed all but locked up is silly. They could easily lose in Cincinnati, and Seattle's not a gimme. I could even see them slipping up in Denver or Vegas. The Raiders have a lot of offensive talent and the Broncos have an elite defense. Both would love to play spoiler. The Chiefs are good, but they're not a juggernaut. They don't have a massive margin for error. The sentiment that KC gets all the calls is also silly. They often have more penalties than opponents, and there have been a ton of game-changing calls that have gone against them this year. 3 or 4 TDs were taken off the board already this year thanks to ticky tack penalties. Jones was penalized for mean words to Matt Ryan (Chiefs beat the Colts if that flag isn't thrown) and Smith-Schuster had an unsportsmanlike for the same. The awful roughing call vs the Raiders, the no-call on the hit that concussed JJSS, no-call on Derwin James for the WWE style body slam of Kelce. No-calls when the punter was tackled twice in LA the other night. Etc, etc. Obviously, as a fan that is rooting against KC, you're going to focus on the calls/no-calls that favor the Chiefs, so I can see how the narrative develops. They've benefited from some late calls (the hold the other night, and multiple penalties in the endzone at the end of regulation vs the Titans) but those calls were justified, especially against the Titans. They were just flat-out tackling receivers and hoping it wouldn't be called. Bottom line is that if there were a grand conspiracy to help the Chiefs, they've had a funny way of showing it.
