  1. Some Bills players (past & present) Combine 40 times for quick comparison: L. McKelvin: 4.39 R. Corner: 4.48 T. McGee: 4.57 L. Evans: 4.39 D. Beebe: 4.21 CJ Spiller: 4.28 Top 10 fastest times ever: Bo Jackson Auburn Tigers 4.12 2 Michael Bennett Minnesota Vikings 4.13 3 Alexander Wright Dallas Cowboys 4.14 4 Darrell Green Washington Redskins 4.15 5 Ahman Green Nebraska Cornhuskers 4.17 6 Joey Galloway Ohio St. Buckeyes 4.18 7 Deion Sanders Florida St. Seminoles 4.21 8 Kevin Curtis Utah Utes 4.21 9 Don Beebe Buffalo Bills 4.21 10 Donte Stallworth Tennessee Volunteers 4.22
  2. i'm really interested in seeing Quinn get evaluated since he did not play this year. Plus it is nice to get some accurate height/weight numbers on alot of the prospects.
  3. in the below link, the writer compares the current crop of QB's in the draft to pro QB's that match their style/performance: QB's compared Per ther article: Newton=Randall Cunningham Gabbert=Alex Smith Ricky Stanzi=Tom Brady I have not seen any Iowa games with Stanzi playing. Has anyone here seen him play and have some input/feedback to this article?
  4. Or, If the players get forced to play the 18-game season, they all get on the field at game-time and have a sit-in.
  5. The Clippers... Oh, how the mighty Braves have fallen...
  6. Makes you wonder if the Bills players hadn't been too busy partying the night before the Super Bowl(s), how many would we have won?
  7. Tidbit from end of a D&C article on the Bills: ESPN Scouts Inc.'s top-10 picks for the 2011 NFL college draft (in order): Stanford QB Andrew Luck; Clemson DE Da'Quan Bowers; Auburn DT Nick Fairley; LSU CB Patrick Peterson; Georgia WR A.J. Green; Missouri QB Blaine Gabbert; North Carolina DE Robert Quinn; Nebraska CB Prince Amukamara; Alabama DT Marcus Dareus; Iowa DE Adrian Clayburn; Oregon State DT Stephen Paea. Washington QB Jake Locker is 23rd, Auburn QB Cam Newton 29th and Arkansas QB Ryan Mallett 31st. Since Luck will either not be in this draft or be gone long before we pick, the one we have a shot at is the number 2 rated QB (per ESPN) is Blaine Gabbert of Missouri. I have not heard much about this prospect, has anyone on the board that has watched him play much that could give some input on him?
  8. And why do Detroit and Dallas always get the Thanksgiving games? I can see with Dallas being one of the most popular franchises, but Detroit??
  9. Article on Wood and his recovery from the Bill's team website: Wood Article "Looking at the production in the run game by play direction, Wood is among the league leaders at right guard. Through the first nine games, run plays that have gone over his right guard position this season have averaged 5.72 yards per carry (25 car., 143 yds). That’s almost a yard and a half better than the team’s overall rushing average this season (4.4). It also ranks third best in the league for right guard." Playing on a losing team doesn't net you alot of Pro Bowl votes, but he certainly deserves to be there.
  10. Add Maybin and Spiller to that list. How about we let them get more reps as well, since the season is toast anyways. I'm thinking Chan's strategy is to keep the starters going until they get their first win, then start playing around with the roster for evaluation purposes.
  11. I swear it is almost if Fitz's arm gets tired by the end of the game, as his passes seem to fall short more and more as the game goes on. The receivers rarely get overthrown, it is almost always underthrown.
  12. So who had to think for a bit to answer the topic question? This makes 4 games in a row we have had 30+ points scored on us, our run defense is the worse I can remember seeing, we have no pass rush, etc. How much worse does the Bills defense have to play for us to at least get a new defensive coordinator during the bye week? BTW, our defensive coordinator is George Edwards, whose awesome resume includes spending the last 5 years as the linebackers coach for Miami prior to being made our defensive coordinator.
  13. If the Bills left, the only time I would watch the NFL would be the Superbowl and that would be for the commercials, not the game.
  14. They are asking for a 5th....a 5th of cheap vodka
  15. From the title of the thread you might think I'm being sarcastic, but check this link out: Scout.com's article The article goes over how both New Orleans and Indy use/sign undrafted free agents. Of course when they do it, it is considered smart scouting, while if the Bills do it, people like to say we are just lacking talent and desperate/cheap. I believe having a GM that has been a pro scout for 50+ years is a major plus for the Bills as we increase the talent-level on the team. These players didn't have the roster spot handed to them, they had to beat out much higher draft picks & veterans to earn their way on the team.
  16. Peter Schrager of Foxsports makes his annual sleeper pick to make the playoffs here: Foxsports Sleeper Pick First he blasts the Bills: ELIMINATED RIGHT AWAY Buffalo Bills: New coach, new GM, new 3-4 defensive scheme, no space-eating DT on the roster, three unproven QBs in midst of underwhelming preseasons, no noted pass rushers and a tough, tough schedule. … Need any more reasons? The Bills could very well be the worst team in the NFL this season. Then he goes on to pick the Raiders as his sleeper pick to make the playoffs...
  17. It was also thought a football team from the Football Championship Subdivision (formerly 1-AA) could never beat a Division 1-A team, let alone a team ranked #5 in the country, yet Appalachian State beat Michigan (in Michigan's own house) back in 2007.
  18. Check it out here: http://www.whatifsports.com/beyondtheboxsc...s&Gt1=39002 AFC East Wins Losses New England Patriots* 10 6 New York Jets 7 9 Buffalo Bills 7 9 Miami Dolphins 6 10
  19. A nicely executed screen play where the RB follows his blockers to get past the LB's and then breaks free in the secondary. I would like to see this alot this year.
  20. I'm hoping Chan at least can manage the clock better than Dick. How many games did we lose because Dick didn't know how to manage the clock under 2 minutes (NE game...)?
  21. Since the Green Bay Packers are publicly-owned, we can at least see how one of the league's smallest-market teams fared. This is from Forbes at the start of the 2009 season: http://www.forbes.com/lists/2009/30/footba...ers_302814.html Intersting tidbit: The Green Bay Packers net income fell 80% last year, to $4 million, due in large part to a $50 million decrease in the value of its investment portfolio Wonder how many teams felt the same pain when the markets dropped? That might make the owners a little more forceful in their demands for more revenue, as they try to recoup their losses.
  22. Imagine if the NFL acted like it was the NCAA, they would say that whole season for the Texans didn't count and strip them of any wins they had.
  23. 24. He has Clausen going at 30. If that happened we could trade up to 30 to get him on the cheap.
  25. Pittsburgh could slide if Big Ben is suspended. Back to back winning seasons for the Begals and Texans is iffy as well. The 9-7 mark for the Texans was a franchise high.
