1/18 Texans @ Chiefs divisional playoff thread
BillsFan619 replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall
You’re one of the most optimistic people on here. Stay positive, bro. 😃 Hopefully we can beat the ravens tomorrow so we can take down the Chiefs next week. Hang in there. Go Bills! -
While we won’t completely stop them, if we can contain/limit Jackson and Henry by keeping them from multiple big explosive plays, this’ll go a long way in helping us advance to the AFC title game. I’m going with someone that has come into his own again over the past month. He has the gap integrity and discipline to help contain/limit them. He can fly around and create havoc when needed. And, he has the experience necessary to know what’s up. Matt Milano, you’ve waited two years for this. It’s your time to shine again! Who ya got? Go Bills!

Sorry you're experiencing this, bro. Does this typically happen to you when the Bills are in the playoffs or is this response a first?

Go JA! Go Bills!!

The final injury report going into the playoffs is a sight for sore eyes. You can't ask for anything better. We're finally healthy going into the playoffs again! The Broncos really struggle with receiving RBs and we have three excellent receiving backs. I think all three of our RBs are going to be a huge factor in this game. I'm going to give the nod of impact player to James Cook. While Ray and Ty may have bigger receiving games, Cook will be used the most all around. 117 total yards, extending a couple drives and taking one the distance that's more than 27 yards. Who ya got? Go Bills!

Me and @NewEra started a good convo in the “Ty Johnson wife’s sign” thread that I thought would be a good thread on its own. NewEra said, “Our depth at the (RB) position is fierce. As is WR, TE and OL…while we may be lacking top tier talent across the board, our offensive depth is impressive. Beating KC without our last 2 1st rd picks, both playmakers, is a testament to that.” I said “We have such good to really good offensive players that it allows each player to play in the number role (ie- TE2, WR3, RB1) that they’ll do best in, be most effective in and be most dangerous in. We have it with Kincaid and Knox. We have it with our WRs, which was one reason I’m so glad we got Cooper. And, we have it with our RBs as well.” Gabe Davis is a great example of this in a previous offense. He was a great WR3, but then struggled to become a great WR2 after (he wasn’t a bad WR2). This year though, we have it at every weapon position: WR, TE and RB. This is one reason our offense is so dangerous and playoff ready. Props to Beane and McD especially with what they had to work with cap-wise. Bring on the playoffs! Go Bills!

Ty Johnson’s wife’s sign at the Bills game

You nailed something I’ve been thinking, bro. We have such good to really good offensive players that it allows each player to play in the number role (ie- TE2, WR3, RB1) that they’ll do best in, be most effective in and be most dangerous in. We have it with Kincaid and Knox. We have it with our WRs, which was one reason I’m so glad we got Cooper. And, we have it with our RBs as well. This is why we’re so hard to stop, and like @Big Turk referenced in another thread, we’ve had a historic offense this year. Great thoughts! -

The Wiz confirmed he saw it as he was at the game, but didn’t know who made it. -
Ty Johnson’s wife’s sign at the Bills game

Good thoughts, bro. I hope not as I’d love to have both of them back, but I definitely know what you’re saying. Since Motor was our #1, are you saying that you feel Ty could be a #1? Or is it more that you don’t feel Motor is a #1 back? -

I really do hope he stays and that they can get a deal done. I know he’s our 3rd RB with how good Cook and Davis are, but he’s been so good and reliable too, he doesn’t seem like a 3rd. He’s just such a good weapon to have. He gets the tough yards, doesn’t have negative plays and he’s been a great pass catcher as a RB. He’s also been out there in the 4th quarter in critical situations. So, they trust him too. @GunnerBill; @1st&ten; @Back2Buff -

Thanks for sharing, bro. I remember wanting him and was a little bummed when he re-signed with the Commanders. I’m so glad we got Ty Johnson instead. He fits this team really well and he legitimately is a really good weapon out of the backfield. He’s consistent, clutch and also a team player. Go Bills! -
Savage! So happy we have #26. Definitely will be a weapon in the playoffs. Go Bills!

I agree, MGK. I hope this is his year for MVP and the team’s year to win it all too. Hopefully it wouldn’t just change the media narrative, but the narrative for some on here. Like Big Turk said, we’re in one of the best times in Bills history and while I know it isn’t a big contingency, it’s wild how negative some can be on here about McD, Beane, the coordinators and even some of the players. Go Bills!

Congrats to JA17! Also pretty cool, considering that they lost such veteran leadership in the off-season. MVP! Go Bills!

With it being likely that Davante Adams is playing, I’m going with Christian Benford. If he can shut him down or limit him, I think we have a pretty easy path to victory. I think he limits him to four catches for 36 yards, which makes Adams not much of a factor. I’ll add in a sack and INT too, dashing any hopes the Jets had of playing spoiler. Who ya got? Go Bills!

McD typically does really well against rookie QBs and I’m expecting that to continue on Sunday. So, my eyes are looking at the defense. With our back seven somewhat banged up, our DL needs to eat and confuse Maye. I’m going with Groot. He’ll force some inaccurate throws, get some good pressures and have two sacks, one of them being a strip sack. Who ya got? Go Bills!
